Shut away from the world and just relax!”
We enjoyed the setting, the villa had everything possible to make it feel welcoming, especially appreciated the washing machine/dryer and hot tub, quality linen and towels. Calling it a beach hideaway mislead me to thinking the beach was closer than it really is as access to it was impossible (muddy track required more than gumboots during our stay no doubt due to recent rain). I’d call it a bush retreat with the sight and sounds of the sea - perfect place to blob in a busy travelling schedule. We will return!! :)
Excellent, quiet location - perfect for a coastal getaway ”
We loved Beach Hideaway Villas and would definitely recommend our family and friends to go there. The villa was clean, had all the facilities that you would need and had beautiful views.
Lovely Hideaway. Beach was not easily accessible but superbly appointed villa with delightful surrounds.
Just like the photo”
The place was really clean, new and just like what I was expected. I really enjoyed staying here. The room has pretty much everything that you would need in the 5 star hotel. However, the hotel was quite far from the nearest town (26km from greymouth and 18km from punakaiki) . We had to drive to greymouth for dinner and to do our grosceries.. I would recommend you to do all of that before you head to the hotel.
Amazing hideaway location and great apartment”
This place was a real surprise. Lovely size and moderness of the apartment, the location, secluded with access to beach, the serenity of the place and beauty. Note its not actually central to Punaiki which was a surprise - its good 15min to get to the town driving to see the Pancake rocks.
brig your wellies”
self catering chalet in a lovely location with all amenties as required. disappointed that you could not get to sea as photo indicated.....you would certainly need your wellies to access track down to shore edge - deemed too muddy for our walking shoes
Perfect for a relaxing holiday”
It was our top pick from all the hotels/airbnb we have stayed while travelling across NZ. There is so much greenery around with a quiet surroundings- just perfect if you want some time off civilisation.
Lovely and cozy cabin”
Pros: Great place.comfy beds. Kitchen had enough things. The door was left open for our arrival. Cons: we never got the door code in an email ahead of time (despite being informed that we should have); I called the 0800 number when we arrived and left a message with my phone number and i never got a call back. We learned the code from the manager the next day. WiFi was almost non existent. Hot tub was only 38 degrees and not allowed to be changed.
Nice room with modern facilities. Big rooms and spacious living hall
Agida did not send my details to owner. Owner commented that they tried to contact us to give us entrance codes. Same thing happened with booking.com to lady next door. Had to look on the website
Beautiful accommodation, clean tidy and everything you need to hunker down for a few days r&r. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a break away from the daily norm and recharge in comfort
Great value definitely stay again”
Awesome bush garden setting with ocean view...clean and comfortable bedding. Awesome would love to stay longer
Perfect if you want some time to chill the best thing no wifi if you choose
Clean. We stayed 2 nights, but disappointingly there was no cleaning or service on the second day ( no tea/ coffee suppliedetc) Would not have booked if we had realised that there was no internet provided Takes up to 15-20 mins to Punakaiki, not the 10 mins described No access to beach localy Too many sandflies both in and out of the cabin, making the garden an inhospitable place
This was a good place to stay. I only marked down the cleanliness because the bar-b-que was rusty and dirty. Apart from that it was clean and well presented.
An outstanding place to stay”
Great peaceful location
It was a mistake to organize a trip to New Zealand, I booked this hotel and my surprise is that they charged me 100 if I canceled. AGODA tried to negotiate with the owner any kind of agreement and the answer was 100%, therefore I lost that money but I did not cancel so that I can not rent that day after having charged me completely. I hope you have a lot of success with your policy this property.
