We'll certainly be coming back! Next time we take the Spirit to Devonport, we have very good reasons to travel to Ulverstone for overnight accommodation.

Clean and cheerful”

This motel is clean and well-maintained. It is located a short drive from the main shopping area. The staff were pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was not included, but was available and was good.The only thing they need to change is to remove the massive sand-filled ashtrays adjacent to the room doors, which encourage smokers to gather outside their doors (and MY door) and pollute the air both outside and in.

Overnight at Beachway Motel Ulverstone”

It was our favourite place we stayed at during our 2 week travel. We ended up staying an extra night! The food was amazing both nights and the atmosphere within the restaurant was outstanding. The Management were amazing!!! They made our experience very enjoyable, they clearly love their job. We arrived not knowing I had booked the wrong date online and they fixed everything up for us hassle free. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through.

Benchmark Motel”

If people want to know how to run a motel properly, just stop here for a night. Friendly, top tucker, clean, quiet &comfortable. Overall great value for money.

Not listening to their customers”

The very good points about this motel were blighted by some basic electrical issues and the proprietors' reluctance to respond in a timely fashion to our bringing the faults to their attention. One was a flickering reading light above the bed (a ceiling halogen downlight, in this case) and the other was the absence of a power cable for the bedside radio alarm unit (rendering it useless). A call to the office elicited more about how "you need to tie things down these days" than any commitment to find another one straight away, and fix the light. The motel would not have been short of expert electrical advice - it had suffered a power outage the previous day and had called an electrician in on the day of our polite 'complaint'. Bottom line was that the proprietors were simply not listening to their customers and we left Beachway with the issues still outstanding. A pity really - otherwise it was fine !

Clean and Tidy”

This stop was just a stopover for us. We Ate the the restaurant which was nice but very under staffed (the one staff member that was there was amazing!). The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfy but it was tiny, I would not have wanted to be there longer than the 12 hours we were there for - however, due to our short stay it wasn't an issue for us.

We were only there overnight but had a wonderful meal at the restaurant and enjoyed meeting the owners. Very comfortable room.

Would have liked it more if we'd been informed we had a unit that hadn't had a refit, but for the price we paid it was very satisfactory. The upgraded units looked very nice and, perhaps, next time we'll have one of those.

Mixed experience at Beachway”

The room was ok, but cold and no heating during a wintry week. Bathroom cold and dated. Breakfast good but a little expensive compared with other motels on the island, and only the remains of a roll of toilet paper provided!
