Dirty water coming out of the tap”
The water from the taps and shower was disgusting, brown and full of some kind of black sediment. Too dirty for washing. Complained and staff were useless. "Just try again in the morning". They also gave me the wrong kind of room and said that the following day I could change, but the following day they told me they had no more rooms left so I couldn't change.
great location and clean!
Staff spoke no English and I felft unsafe”
I respect hotels that outright say that they cater only for locals, rather than hotels that masquerade as international hotels but have not even one staff member speaking English. I was a solo female traveler and had a bad experience when I arrived at the hotel when a taxi driver disappeared with my suitcase in the boot. I tried to explain to the hotel staff and no one could help in anyway as they did not understand what I was referring to. I was then given a room that was very far from reception and as a single female traveler I felt very, very unsafe and the windows and doors in the corridors were open and there were a lot of locals milling around as the hotels seemed to have a restaurant. There was a lot of noise the whole night from the streets. I was really panicking thinking that if I got raped or something awful, the hotel staff will not even be able to assist as they would not even understand. My room was so far that I could not get any internet connection for the duration of my stay. No one swept under the bed for a year or so as there was a layer of dust with papers, tissues, etc. I will NEVER stay at this hotel and do not recommend it to female travelers. The only good thing was that it was only 5 min walk to subway.
Small Business Traveller”
Happy with the overall aspects.
I was only there for 1 day, but it was a pretty pleasant stay. The hotel is on the same block as some night markets, so you can walk the night market and get some great varieties of food as well as experience some local beijingers' nightlife. I think there is a University nearby, so there were many young people about, which adds some energy to the hustle and bustle of the night markets. Overall a pleasant stay in which I would stay again if I were in town for a short business trip.
Nice but can be better”
Value for money”
We stayed for 6 days. We had a nice stay, room comfortable, wifi was good given the restrictions in China with Google, etc, nice chinese buffet breakfast (although we missed coffee!), staff at reception spoke enough english, metro station just 2 block's away.

Hotel near CUC”
Beautiful place, good breakfast but no coffee”
Not so good english skills among the staff. No ATMs or restaurants close to the hotel accepted our swedish bank cards. The hotel staff was not able/willing to help us out. Having run out of cash we had to skip dinner because of this! Apart from that, nice place!
inconvenience of traffice, no bath curtain”
Very far from attractions”
I booked this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews. However the reviews seemed to have related to The Inner Mongolia GRAND Hotel. This hotel is very far away from the main attractions of Beijing and requires a subway trip of around 45 minutes into the centre of town. But the hotel could still be considered as a budget option, it is well priced for a Beijing hotel and is favoured by many Chinese and few Westerners. The hotel is very close to the subway station. There is a local market round the corner selling street food. There is a train ticket office virtually next door and there are several good restaurants down the road (especially the Italian). The breakfast is Chinese and the staff speak very little English.
