The hotel manager greeted us personally and told us all about the wonderful spa and exercise facilities. We were pleasantly surprised that he took a personal interest in the comfort of each guest and offered many helpful suggestions.

Really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were excellent in every aspect. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Close to the metro.

Hotel is worth the five stars. Restaurants should improve the service and quality or else lower prices.

Nothing less expected from a Marriott hotel. Spacious and comfortable room, indoor swimming pool, gymnasium. Centrally located within the 1st and 2nd ring, short distance from forbidden city, tiananmen, and major shoppin areas like oriental plaza.

We enjoyed 2 nights in a room with two dbl beds which was sufficient for our needs. The jacuzzi in the mens and womens locker/change rooms near the pool is fantastic - perfect temperature, very relaxing. staff were very friendly and access to the Exec lounge for an afternoon snack was great.

Acceptable”
It was definitely not a Marriott experience, Beijing Pudi is locally managed and it failed terribly to live up to its 5stars rating. Firstly, they were hidden costs which were made known when we arrived, besides hotel and others taxes (which were known) we were charged additional resort taxes. Secondly, the shower area drainage system had issues, despite changing rooms and daily complains, the shower area floods each time we take a shower. Thirdly, the breakfast spread was miserable. Not replenish when food ran out and same spread items for 9 days we were there. Staffs were sloppy in their upkeep, not a sight to behold for a 5 stars rating hotel. Those good reviews then could be when Pudi was still under Marriott management, that's what led us to book 9 nights with Pudi Hotel. Of all the hotels I've stayed throughout my vacation around the world,, I would stay Beijing Pudi Hotel is by far the most disappointing and it smeared my vacations in Beijing.

The hotel upgraded my room because of some payment error but I thought it was very nice of them. Beijing traffic is quite bad but this hotel is quite near to everything in Beijing but that is by Taxi.

My wife and I spent 4 nights in Beijing and the highlight was staying at the Marriott. After long days of sightseeing it was so relaxing to come back to the Marriott. The staff was great especially Barry at the VIP lounge, the food was spectacular, the facilities and rooms were immaculate, and the location was perfect (downtown, close to the subway, freeway, and major sites) We will stay here everytime we come to Beijing

One of the best hotels I have stayed in”
Location, Staff, Rooms
This was an excellent hotel. Our room was fantastic. You would have thought you were in a first class Hotel in New York. We were expecting something good but we were really shocked at how meticulously the whole hotel was decorated especially our room. And the best part was the price was LOW. perfect location too. If you can book here you should. I will stay again. Perfect for both business travellers (like me) and leisure.

Good and quiet hotel”
Good location , a big choice of wine at the bar
The location of the hotel is very fine . Metro and train station are just 5 minutes away . That's very good , if you want get to the nice places of this town . I arrived at 8 a.m. with a train and in a lot of hotels you have to wait until 12 a.m. for access to the room . But in this hotel no problem ! Very good !The bar has a big choice of wines from all over the world . And a girl has played piano ... That was very restful after a long day in the city . The room was very quiet . Only the breakfast was "standard" ( but i found it okay ) .

Great hotel, great location”
very close to subway 1 and 2
This is a great hotel. Marriott standard as one would expect. However, a couple of hiccups: 1, they couldn’t find our reservation (pre paid through Agoda) when we checked in. the reception gave us a drink voucher while we were waiting for them to sort things out. We waited about 10 min, they couldn’t find the reservation but gave us a room anyway and asked us to come back next day to confirm because they couldn’t find Agoda’s representative (it was a public holiday that day). This was sorted out the next day; the hotel told me that Agoda or the agent Agoda uses in China had screwed up our booking. In fact, I’m disappointed with Agoda’s services, probably not going to use Agoda anymore. 2, the room they gave me on the first night smelled very badly. The room was on the 22nd floor. Initially, we thought it was because the room was empted for too long but over the night it was clear that the smell was from the toilet. We requested a change of room the next day, and it was happily accommodated, the staff took me up to 12th floor showed me the room before we made the switch.

Great location but small rooms
this is a solid, 5 star hotel. comfortable for western standards, nice rooms. it's a large hotel, and navigating the different towers is a bit tricky. i always love marriott beds...my favorite. had dinner at pearl - good food...a little on the sweet side, but good. the price i got through agoda was a good deal for this level of hotel, so i'm overall satisfied.

Upgrade to Executive Level”
Executive level ammenities, good location
On other recommendations, I upgraded to the executive level from the standard room. For a night, you get a beautiful suite-like room (huge) with a sitting area, desk area. The bathroom has a rainforest showerhead along with a separate full tub. You will enjoy the room. Using the executive lounge on the 16th floor paid for itself. You get the same buffet breakfast as downstairs for free and no crowds. There is a free happy hour for liquor/wine from 17:30 to 21:30 each night. There is finger-food available from 17:30 to 19:30 and dessert trays are put out from 19:30 to 21:30. There is wireless internet (speed is about the same a dialup) also for free. I liked that you could go into the refrigerators to get softdrinks (as many as you wanted). The staff was helpful too. I would certainly stay at the Marriott Beijing City Wall on my next visit.

The best bed I've ever slept on; spacious room; separate shower and tub; modern decor with Chinese "feel"
Need more light above bathroom mirror--couldn't see welll enough to put on makeup; shower slow to drain
Paid for upgrade to Executive Tower--well worth the money. We also paid for the access to the Executive lounge, which included breakfast, drinks from 5:30 to 9:30 for free; snacks from 5:30 to 7:30; desserts 7:30 to 9:30; free Wifii; assistance with travel plans; newspapers and a nice place to relax

Room is always clean, I like it.
High speed internet cable was not setup properly, but after complaining with Guest Manager, he gave 1 day free internet connection, not bad. The mirror near the bathtub need changing.
Highest room temperature only 22 Celsius, it has been regulated by Chinese Government. It was just too hot at the beginning of my stay in the 1st week of September in Beijing, but not after few days later. All of the staffs were trying their best & fast to serve their guests for any inquiry.

Beautiful hotel, clean room, bell captains and conscierge were very helpful.
Did not have currency to exchange for dollars like they were suppose to have in morning, but finally had Chinese money in the afternoon. Had to go to a Chinese bank to exchange dollars.
Beautiful, but very expensive hotel. Food and drinks were very expensive. Very crowded at times and hard to move through the lobby. We were on the 21st floor so did not hear the traffic below. The room was very warm and couldn't get the air conditioning on. We enjoyed our stay there.
