Very friendly and helpful owner
The room was basic, but very centrally located. The owner is a great guy, he and his wife run a very socially responsible little gem.

Cute room for low maintenance couple
Pros: close to train, lovely room (tv, a/c, bathroom, comfy bed), clean, waffles and yummy coffee for breakfast, nice owners. Cons: poor wifi in room.

Awesome
Wonderful stay. Room is clean and spacious. Owner is kind and helpful. Also, he is such a patient and good surfing instructor! We enjoyed our stay and the surfing lesson so much! Highly recommended!

Nicely arranged
Very nice owner, nice large waffle in the morning. Great location to go for a biking trail in the morning. Clean room and bathroom. Only point of attention: road is close to the hotel.

Near the beach and affordable!
Being Outdoors B&B is just a few steps away from the Fulong train station and around 5 mins walk to the beach, but without a heavy price tag! The B&B owner, brother Jit Kor (one dollar) is friendly, and makes tasty waffles for guests for breakfast. He helped us arrange for surfing lessons taught by his friend Ken, and took photos for us while we were on the surfboards. We were satisfied with our stay at the B&B. Our room was spacious enough to place two backpacks and two single futon mattresses, and had an ensuite toilet/ shower, which was clean and had good water pressure. Simple, but adequate. It was really warm when we got to our room in the afternoons, but good thing there was air-conditioning and a portable fan. The only minus is the wifi, which we could only connect to at the cafe on the first floor. There are not many food options near the train station except for bento, so if you have a motorbike or car, you can travel a little further for food. Overall, my boyfriend and I had a really good stay in Fulong, thanks to brother Jit Kor and Ken! :)

Simple, affordable and friendly
If you are looking for a simple, clean and affordable place to stay in Fulong Beach it's the perfect spot. Walk 30 seconds from the train station and you will be in your room. Walk 5 minutes more and you will be at the beach! This B&B is a family-based business so don't miss your chance to chat with the nice couple in charge and you will get a lot of info about life in Fulong and Taiwan.

Great location, friendly owners, clean, good hot shower, laid back atmosphere
Great location, friendly owners, clean, good hot shower, laid back atmosphere. We do a lot of camping and had stayed previously at the nearby Longmen camping area. Since it was hot summer we decided to try a hotel, we are all glad we did. Stayed in family room 3-2 on the top floor facing the police station, the room looks just like the pictures. Kids really liked the place, and there was a lot of discussions about the wall mural. Mattresses are on the floor, but comfortable. Location is directly in front of the police station with easy access to beach and train station. The hotel name on wood background is in Chinese (direct translation - Earth Person), but has English wording on right side stating, accommodations, surf lessons, last one is "Being Outdoor" Breakfast was simple waffle and drink. The Hot Coffee Latte was more than ample size and had a great flavor. Able to park the car right next to the hotel in the small lane, not sure if this is always an option during busier times. Other reviewers mentioned the noise. You can hear the trucks at night, low frequency noise in room for the most part. We brought earplugs just in case but did not use them. This may be an issue if you are a light sleeper. I assume most places are the same (unless you stay at the higher priced hotels/resorts or find another family run hotel, further away from highway 2) If you have a full day at the beach and ride the bikes up the hill to the train tunnel you should be tired and sleep fine. If you have a car you can drive it close to the train tunnel entrance and rent bikes there (car parking availability seemed ok, but you may have to park a little way down the hill and walk during peak times). I would rather ride the bike, get the exercise rather than drive the car and have to dodge all the bike riders. The bike ride up to the entrance is a good workout. There is light motorcycle and car traffic on the bike ride up to the tunnel entrance so be careful with the younger kid

Fantastic Homestay
A hotel can be great but impersonal. Part of the reason to stay here is getting to know the owner, YiYuan, who is extremely helpful and personal and made our stay great. Nice, clean room, and great location. Highly recommended! A side note: Our favorite thing we did in Fulong was to rent snorkeling equipment from YiYuan's friend, rent and ride bicycles around the cape to the bay, park the bikes, and snorkel along the bay. So much fun! And then finish biking around the cape, through the tunnel, and back. A perfect day! The owner can give you all the details.
