I enjoyed my recent stay at Imperial College Beit Hall of Residence. My room was clean and perfectly suited me for my six-day stay. When I had questions, the staff in the check-in area were friendly and helpful. The location--very close to the South Kensington underground line as well as the Royal Albert Hall, Science Museum, and Victoria & Albert Museum--was wonderfully convenient and priced very reasonably. Thank you!
Convenient and good value”
Beit Hall is about 10 minutes' walk from the metro but easy to find. I stayed in a room for one with en suite bathroom. Staff was quick with check-in, room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was filling. I would stay here rather than a hotel.
Great value accomodation in a fantastic location”
Great value accomodation in a very smart neighbourhood, near to the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park. Basically, just halls of residence for Imperial College University. Bed was comfy enough, shower facilities were adequate and everywhere was quiet. Definitely the best value budget accomodation I've stayed in.
Reception provided by students who were friendly and helpful. Baggage can be left by reception if checking in early. Elevator to all floors. Mattress was extremely lumpy, hard and uncomfortable. Woke up with painful neck and back. Bedroom carpet bit dirty and daily cleaning has much to be desired. Breakfasts were included in the price and plentiful. Food served in a separate building five minutes from Beit Hall. Accommodation is next door to Albert Hall so it is popular with Promenaders. Museums are close by - Science Museum is 10 - 15 minutes gentle stroll. Nearest Tubes is South Kensington and Gloucester Road. Buses 9 and 10 go to the West End from opposite the Albert Hall, outside Hyde Park. Accommodation facing Quadrant might be noisy due to closeness to the Students Union bar, offering cheap booze!
The Beit Hall is located in a convenient location, a several minutes walk to the South Kensington metro station. Breakfast is very good and room is clean
Fantastic location, student accommodation ”
These rooms are student rooms out of term time. Knowing what level of comfort to expect, I found this place ideal for a conference close to the Albert Hall. The breakfast is included, which is very handy for conference visits. Some minor issues only: they have sports facilities listed as free to use, but this was not available for people who book through Agoda. Clumsy mistake, could be their fault but is most likely Agoda's. We knew the WiFi wasn't free but really it should be. In short, if I have a conference near Hyde Park again I will most likely return.
Affordable in a great location ”
Great location for tourists, right near underground station and key attractions such as Hyde Park, museums and galleries. Affordable, secure and clean with wifi.
Very good place!”
Location is very good. I like South Kensington. Price was not very expensive and staff were friendly. Room clear is also good. If I have a chance to go London, I want to stay this hotel again!
Fantastic location for attending the royal albert hall....right next door to it!! Great choice of food at breakfast....hot food was only warm though but good quality would stay again ask for a room overlooking the courtyard or at the back of the property as my room on main road so affected by traffic noise if sleep with window open
great place, will come again”
everything very well, except costs for room was in our case a bit to high (but our focus was on area: Royal Albert Hall). The Pub is very good with accepptable Prices. Staff is very frindly. Breakfast excellent.
Good option for budget travellers”
This is an adequate place for the money, mostly because of the location, but I doubt we would stay there again. We were disappointed that of the two twin en-suite rooms we chose, one was significantly bigger than the other, the larger one quite nice, and roomy, clearly intended for two people, with two desks, chairs, and closets, while the other was what must have been a single room with an extra bed in it, and it was cramped, less storage, smaller bathroom, and just generally unpleasant. It was particularly irksome to find that the water in the bathroom is not potable! They supply two small bottles of water, but we were staying for four nights and had to buy bottled water for the rest of the stay which is just wrong. The rooms looking over the quad can be noisy at night because there is a bar down below and it stays busy until late. Breakfast is a rather unpleasant walk away behind buildings and through a parking area, the food is plentiful, but be prepared for crowds as you stand in line with your plastic tray. During the off season I imagine it is better, but finding a table can be a challenge during the busy summer season when we were there. Beit Hall is an ok option in good weather when you're not planning on spending much time at all there, but if you see your hotel as a respite from the crowds of London, or the rain, or a place where you will be doing anything other than sleeping, consider other places.
Room clean. Hot- so I left the fan on all night. The cooked breakfast and the coffee are awful, I'd give both a swerve and go for muesli/toast/fruit instead. Being within 5 minutes walk of both the South Kensington museums and Hyde Park was a huge bonus.
Don't Believe The Hype”
Booked this hotel because of great reviews but even though room, staff were great , other things were not. There is NO free wifi in rooms , it's £5 a day. There was only 2 plugs in my single basic room, I had to call reception to move a very heavy desk from the wall to gain access, I mean really in this day and age only one hidden plug because other was for fan because room to warm. Also sign up stating don't unplug anything ! Kettle was a nice touch. Breakfast is ONLY 5 items, so one piece of bacon, one piece of sausage, one tomato, one egg, one hash brown !! Seriously ,it's also in another building across the road It is also at least a 25 minute walk from South Kensington Tube station, longer if you have bags. There is a a underground walkway but this closes at 10pm and does not really save that much time. I would stay here again but now I know what to expect :-) Special mention for the staff at reception, especially at night , they were great .
The location is great with easy access to museums, park and Royal Albert Hall. Though our room is a bit small for two people, it is very clean and well-equipped.
character and location; shame for the bars”
Clean rooms in a premium location, friendly staff (albeit they don't have map of rooms, street vs. inner court), steps from Imperial, Hyde Park and RAH. Very simple, down to earth student hostel in perhaps the best location for academic business. Breakfast and gym included few 100 m away, top facilities - albeit very crowded at rush hours. Excellent value. what can be improved 1) the 2-3 hidden sport bars in the inner court are very noisy/crowded past midnight - unless it's rainy. But in Summer and WE it's hard to sleep being in the midst of a big party. No fix is apparent, unless one chooses the street side (some moderate traffic noise). 2) doors are banging... could be easily fixed with few cents worth of rubber tape around the frame. Yet i'd stay again, despite the punctual imperfections. mitch-
Too hot during summer”
The location was perfect for access to the Proms at the Albert Hall. My single room on the second floor faced west so got the late afternoon sun. The window could only be opened a couple of inches at the top and the small fan (no aircon) was not sufficient to draw cool air in at night. Instructions given as to the location of my room (at check in) were wrong - a floor plan of the hall would have been helpful (I met other visitors also wandering around searching for their rooms). I had breakfast included. I had some of the fresh and tinned fruit with muesli which was OK but the scrambled egg (solid lump) and mushrooms (tinned?) were not to my taste. I did not bother having the breakfast on my second morning.
Good value for money and convenient location as long as you dont mind student hall facilities”
Next to Royal Albert Hall. Good for going to concerts. Could be a bit noisy because of traffic but ok.
Another excellent stay at Biel Hall”
Great value for money accommodation in centre of London. Will definitely return again.
very convenient for royal albert hall and excellent value.
Large room, easy check in, friendly atmosphere, ideal for BBC Proms. Room was very hot though, Windows can only be opened a tiny bit and as on Ground floor facing Street, not so secure leaving open. Two small fans. Quiet and central.
Take a look at these facilities:
