My sister recommended Grand View Resort Beitou after her two vacations in Taipei. I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a private onsen (hotspring bathtubs)in your room. You would need to contact the customer service staff about the free shuttle service prior to arrival - first trip commences at 10 a.m. After you exit the Beitou MRT station, turn to your right and wait for a white pickup with the resort's name printed on it. The shuttle service to send you to the station takes place at the 15th and 45th minute of every hour and pickup from the station is at the hour and 30th minute (for e.g. 10 a.m and 10.30 a.m.) I contacted the resort staff at the MRT station and while waiting, I had my breakfast nearby. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly service staff at the resort who gave us very detailed recommendations about places to visit near Beitou. He was knowledgeable and was patient with his explanations when we asked a few questions. The room which I stayed in had 2 bathtubs - 1 for hotspring water and another 1 for cold water. There are also a shower area and a separate toilet cubicle with electronic toilet seat. The toilet bowl cover will lift up automatically before you use it as it has a sensor. My hubby was impressed with it. The toiletries and snacks provided were delightful! I used the facial mask provided after a day's travelling and the snacks were healthy and tasty. A music CD was also available for our enjoyment when we soaked in the hotspring water tub. Breakfast comes with buffet items as well as an ala carte dish. The variety of buffet items is limited but they were scrumptious. Overall, it is a 5-star resort (I paid SGD600 for a night's stay at the highest floor - 6th floor - with a view of the trees) with 5-star service. :) An area for improvement would be for the staff to respond to email queries pro

I browse lots of hotels in Beitou hot spring area and booked this thinking it should be good stay according to overall reviews. However, it turns out the best hotel stay ever through my traveling experience across Asia and Euro. It’s my husband birthday trip in Taiwan, and they upgraded our room, prepared cake and wine in the room. Very considerate and sweet welcome by reception Sally and her colleagues. All the staff are very polite kind of Japanese style greeting rituals, in which we even feel a bit embarrassed......they’re very helpful to solve our flights check in problem when we’re leaving. The hotel facility is new with bright nature light. I like the design with wood and marble combination. Anyway, will come back to stay when next Taiwan visit!

Snached this hotel at a low season, weekday price in May. Turns out this is a boutique hotel with excellent services. The hotel is on the hill, and there is a staircase and steep upward walk from XinBeiTou Station. If you have luggages with you, it makes more sense to ride MRT to BeiTou Station, and then catch a taxi to the hotel. If you are visiting the city area, it will also make sense to walk to BeiTou Station (10min walk) because XinBeiTou Station's schedule is less frequent. Great self-served breakfast choices, a mini dessert served every night around 9pm, and the individual hot spring tub. Nothing beats a good soak after a long day of walking and sight seeing in Taipei. Only one comment: you have to give up your room keys to the front desk staff if you are visiting somewhere else for the day. I don't know what is the reason behind it. Just make sure you bring your important stuff with you when you are out.

Visited Taipei post Christmas & pre-New Year, where accommodation is exhorbitantly expensive in the city (approx $200 per night in 3 star hotel). Although hotel is not located in the heart of the city, it is situated right in front of the metro. Hence, a very ideal and economical accommodation for exploring Taipei city (12 stops, approx 20 mins ride) and Beitou for hot spring. There is a 7-11 and Family Mart right behind the hotel for necessities. Breakfast is basic. Room is clean and size is adequate. Wide array of cable channels available on TV.

Since i traveled my grandmother and we really needed wheelchair for her. This hotel was the only one of the hotels in Beitou area where they had their own wheelchair for the guest to use. The hotel was very clean, modern and well-maintained. The staffs were all very kind and considerate. They would try to help you as much as they could to make your stay comfortable. Strongly recommended!!

This is one of the certified Hotspring hotel in Xinbeitou.. Just one stone's throw away from the Xinbeitou station. However, if you want to stay here, make sure your whole day of itinerary be in Beitou or tansui which are both at the north part of Taipei. This hotel I will highly recommend if you want a very affordable Hotspring bathtub in the room and a luxurious stay! Otherwise.. It is very very far from other parts of Taipei and Taipei's main station which is the centre of Taipei. It does not provide laundry service however.

Staying at the Royal Seasons Beitou was a remarkable experience and the perfect choice for couples. Private Hot Spring: Whilst public hot springs may be common in Beitou & Taiwan, this hotel provides the most wonderful experience in the privacy of your room, with your loved one. The size of the bath is large and spacious, with more than plenty of room for 2-3 people at the same time. Salt crystals are also provided in the room in small bottles, to pamper your skin even before dipping in. Room: The room decor added to a cozy feel, with textile and furniture finishing providing a luxurious touch. You'll also be greeted with lovely, matching couple pajamas as you enter the room. Cleanliness was top notch, with a few international charge pods if you forgot to bring your plug adapter. A large TV screen also offers more than 100 cable & local channels. The only complaint I have was that the mini bar was working slightly below par. Service: Service staff was fantastic and extremely courteous, as is typical of the country's culture. The front desk responded immediately after I complained about a faulty mini bar, and I got one replaced within the space of 5 minutes. Convenience: Hotel location is a 3-minute drive from Beitou & Xin Beitou station, with shuttle services available every half hour. Shuttle service starts from 9am to 9pm, with the only time slots not available being 11am-11.30am. But Taxis are readily available both outside the hotel and at the train station, and cost just 70 TWD if you're out late shopping. Food: Breakfast is a fusion of international & local cuisine, and served with the freshest ingredients. With a variety of delicacies peppered across Taipei, we did not get to try the in-hotel lunch & dinner options

Considered more of the pricier range amongst the hotels in Beitou, but given the good location and class of the hotel rooms, price can be considered okay as well. Did not manage to go to the public bath, but the private bath in the hotel room was great enough. Lighting in rooms could be brighter though, as i felt that bathroom lacked lighting (only had 2 orange lights) There was sauna in the room as well, i totally did not expect that. Toilet was huge and bed were comfy. Overall, had an enjoyable stay over there. As we were vegetarians, although there was a breakfast buffet spread (not alot of variety though, the standard Taiwanese type of breakfast buffet), the hotel offered to stir up 2 dishes just for us. Recommend this hotel for future staying! :)

After 3 nights in Taipei city checked into this hotel in Beitou area for one night. Staff very attentive and helpful (upgraded to a better room). Choice of 8 outdoor pools of various shapes, sizes and temperatures was very enjoyable but I guess could become crowded at peak times. Our room was not in main hotel building, but just across the road. Seems to have been recently upgraded with tatami matting on half the room - highlight was large bathroom with own hot spring tub. Ate in restaurant - not much atmosphere and when the stay close at 9:30 they literally mean closed - no last orders or lingering over coffee ! Ideal for what we wanted. Didn't even venture out from hotel as there is a free shuttle bus from Beitou and Xiebeitou MRT stations.

the hotel is quite near to the subway station, about 5-8mins walk. It's nearer to the Beitou Museum. the place is quiet and the hotel is a boutique hotel with different themes for different rooms. My hote room is balinese style and we love it. the room decor is very nice and new. the bed is comfortable and room comes with free wifi. the plus point about the room is the nice hotspring indoor bath in the room. we have complete privacy and can enjoy hotspring bath anytime! we didn't try the breakfast provided by the hotel, but there are many restuarants outside for one to explore. there are not many things to do in the area, we explored the Beitou museum and the took pictures of the beautiful Beitou Library. the pace here in beitou is slow and relaxed. one can explore places like yangmingshan nearby and/or take subway to Tamshui. one thing that we do not like is the very late check-in time at 6pm. I understand that only rooms booked through agoda is like that. other websites allow check in at 3pm. when we reached the hotel, we tried to ask for earlier check-in time but the hotel staff do not allow. they mentioned that rooms from agoda have to check-in at 6pm.

A cozy hotel in Beitou, really enjoyed the in room bathtub with hotspring water. It fits two skinny people. We got one of the rooms on the ground floor and it's wonderful to take a bath in the morning when the sunlight creeps in between the wooden blinds. Shower area wasn't "squeaky" clean but didn't expect much as it was an old hotel. The breakfast was unmemorable but there's plenty of options in Beitou itself (the minced pork rice in the wetmarket!) The female owner and the staff were very friendly, offered to drive us to the train station when we leave. Overall, really loved the atmosphere. Perfect getaway.

This is my second time at this hotel and it is one of the more inexpensive places in Beitou with direct hot springs to the room. I make it a point to stay in Beitou for my first night in Taipei from the states because the hot spring is awesome for jet lag. The hotel is in an excellent location. About 1 hour and 15 minutes via the express mrt from the airport to Taipei Main Station, get on the red line towards Tamsui, get off at Beitou stop, then hop on the Xin Beitou line (1 stop). From here the hotel is a 3 minute walk.

The location is on the mountain but it not hard to go. We take mrt to Beitou and catch the taxi form there cause we have a lot o luggage it cost approximately 200 nt. Also you can take bus. There is bus stop in front of the hotel and it very easy to catch. You can go down to town or go uo to Yanmingshan very easy.The bathtub is huge. We stay in twin bed and it very clean and nice. Breakfast is ok. Staff very nice and helpful. They can speak English. Really recommended

Hotel can be easily access by taking MRT from Taipei main station to Beitou and changed to xin Beitou station,in total it takes about 30-45mins. Pink Lotus hotel is just opposite the station.where it can be seen easily. Hotel is small but cosy and great location. Saffs are v. friendly, very authenic chinese breakfast served, with porridge and very local taiwanese dishes.Toast and coffee, juices are included. There are a number of fast food restuarants around, no problem looking for food. Check with the hotel staff and they are most pleased to direct you to the night market within walking distance. Don't expect big shopping mall and restuarant there. It's more for a place of relaxation

It was old hotel that renovated in middle 2000 years. so the location is far in the upper part of beitou. if you travel light, you can slowly walk to the hotel and enjoying the attraction below, the public library, plum garden, hot spring museum and others. but if you with children or bring many item with you, I suggest you to call the hotel for shuttle bus in xinbeitou. ask the mrt staff to help you if you can't speak mandarin, mrt staff will gladly help you contact the hotel. the hotel staff also very helpfull

Checking in and out was smooth. We arrived to hotel at 2:30 am. Very friendly staff. Though room is a bit small, however, it is new and clean and very comfortable stay. Hotel will provide umbrella during raining season. Convenient location as it is merely 7 min walk to the nearest metro. Can easily find food in this district. In fact, the Beitou Market is pretty nearby (around 15 min walk). Taxi ride from Taoyuan Airport took 45 min to arrive to hotel and cost around NT 1,300. Will definitely return to Aloft Beitou Hotel if the room rates are more affordable.

Pros: Good location, approximately 10mins from Beitou MRT 5mins from Beitou Market. Has a lift for luggage if it's too heavy to carry up Friendly staff Cheap Has free breakfast and also some other basic things, e.g. tea and water dispenser. 1st level bed has curtains for more privacy Cons: Gotta share room with strangers (but hey this is a hostel, not a hotel) Not a lot of shower rooms so gotta wait if there's someone before you.

Stayed for 3 nights during weekdays and was given bigger room than we booked. There was even kiblat direction sign in the room. Not all staffs can speak english but very friendly and tried their best to help us (at times felt like vip lol). We requested for halal breakfast and was given some veggies, boiled eggs and chicken nuggets. On the first day, the staffs showed to us which food from the buffet that we can and cannot consume which was helpful. Building and interior is a bit old but comfortable enough. Booked it because they can cater to halal breakfast and affordable. Got direct bus from MRT Beitou station and only few minutes walk to Beitou park bus stop and MRT Xinbeitou. We were busy touring Taipei so we didn't have the chance to experience the onsen. Overall is okay :)
