Good location, nice room and friendly staff”
I often stay at Bella Vista Motels on all of my NZ trip due to the high standard that I could expect at any of the motels. This was my first time with Bella Vista Wanaka and it was a pleasure to stay there. The room was very nice and modern with in-room wifi (additional charge but the cost was reasonable) and a reasonably large desk for me to do my work. The only downside was the lack of food services at the motel. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Lovely place, central location, super nice owner!”
we very much enjoyed our stay at the bella vista in wanaka. it is only 1 block away from lake wanaka. the owner is super nice and informative. he gave us tons of free guides, maps, and advice, in addition to a room on the 2nd level with amazing views of the lake and mountains! definitely would stay here again. very clean and cozy, and comes with a fridge, tv, kettle, and basic kitchen utensils.

Bella Vista Motel Lake Wanaka has one of the best location. It is near the Lake Wanaka, there is a convenience supermarket near its vicinity and friendly staff to greet you. We enjoyed our stay there.

We stayed here for a 1 night stop-over in Wanaka. Centrally located, clean and comfortable accommodation. Bella Vista Motel was a "little gem" of a Motel by Lake Wanaka.

Great Service from the Owner - Noisy Fridge”
Great central location, clean hotel, and service from Paul, the owner was terrific. As soon as he found out I was an amateur photographer he immediately volunteered information and the top spots to take photographs. The beds were a little soft for my liking but that's my personal preference. The fridge in the room had the noise of circulating water which was annoying when trying to get to sleep, but no problem I just turned it off for the night and back on again in the morning. If I'm ever lucky eneough to be back in wanaka I'd be happy to stay at the Bella Vista again.

Unbelievable location and excellent service”
If you've stayed at a Bella Vista Motel you know what it will look like. It is fabulously clean and perfect for a quick stay in any location. The owner in this Bella Vista was very very friendly and helpful (ideas about tours, places to go, loaning us an adapter for charging etc) and we couldn't believe the location. Right in the very centre of the town of Wanaka. 30 secs from the main street and 2 mins from beach etc. Could not have been happier!

Well located”
This motel is probably one of the best motels if you are staying in Wanaka. It is locate within the town centre, very convenient yet quiet at the same time. Located just a stroll away from the lake, restaurants and shops. The motel is clean and the rooms are comfortable, though not too big. There is no aircon (which could be nice in summer...) but there is heating for the colder wintermonths. Enjoyed our stay, would stay again!

Room was clean and functional. With the Bella Vista chain, you know exactly what you are going to get in terms of layout and amenities. Great if you are on a touring holiday as it means that you can arrive, be in a central location, have a great night's sleep and leave for your next destination.

great views and great service”
the hotel is right in the town centre, so plenty of places to go. it is also just about an hr drive down to queenstown. the scenery around the hotel was beautiful, with lots of lookout points to take great photos. won't recommended to people without cars though. the rooms were clean and quite comfortable. the reception provided great help on where to eat and what to do around wanaka. a very good hotel to stay in.

Well-maintained motel in good location”
Pleasant motel just 2 blocks from the shops, restaurants and bars along Wanaka's waterfront. Room was in very good condition. Also, rooms on the upper level have nice views of the lake. Staff was courteous but strangely uninformed about the town. You'll need to do your own research on restaurants, coffee shops, wineries, tours, etc. Head for the i-Site location on the waterfront to get more guidance.

Very friendly owner makes you feels welcome on checkin. The room was spacious and clean and the motel is well located, just 2 minutes walk to the lake and shops. Would stay here again if returning to Wanaka.

Lack of space”
Everything was fine, except for the space. We felt squeezed and cramped. It seems that the Bella Vista chain hotels vary in terms of amenities. A very helpful owner, good services, and clean and comfortable.

Great Location ”
Great location in a great town. A very short walk to the grocery store and right near other shops. Just a couple of blocks to most of the restaurants, cafes and bars in town, as well as to the lakeshore! The motel was average or slightly above, with the room being a bit on the small side, but by no means cramped. The room was clean and all was in working order. The staff was very friendly and I would have no problem staying here again.

Nice, clean hotel”
The motel is conveniently located in the middle of town. The place is very well maintained; our room was very clean. The room we had was quite small. No kitchen facilities but cups, plates and utensils and washing up stuff provided. Wifi free and of good quality. Staff friendly. Good value.

Last room available so small studio initially with communicating door which was changed to one without communicating door.Hot afternoon and west facing room with great view but Little ventilation and no a/c. Normally have 1 bed unit, which we would advise ,in excellent Bella Vista chain
