3 mins from the beach and pretty good restaurants, this is an ideal place to stay in a quieter area of the island.

i booked this guest house for my friend and myself through agoda. i know vongduern beach but never seen the bellhouse before. just a couple of days before our holiday, another friend wanted to join us and called to the bellhouse if it is possible to add an extra bed into the room. this was uncomplicated and accepted at extra costs to be paid on spot. when we arrived we were positively surprised about the location and the nicely taking care of everything staff. the room had a fridge, a tv (what we absolutely did not expect for the price) and was very clean. all was just perfect for us.
Another excellent short break a Vong Duam staying at The Bellhouse”
This was our second stay at The Bellhouse. The first nice thing was we were given the same chalets as on our previous visit, both of which were very well equipped and re-equipped with things like bottled water and a lot more toilet paper than we could ever use. Also nice to get things like good quality shower soap and shampoo, and even a hairdryer. The Internet collection was first class. Aircon suitably chilly. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. Security top rate, with a safe and double locks on the front door. Sensibly priced motorbike rental. As well as that we were very lucky with the weather. So we'll definitely be back. The Bellhouse doesn't have a restaurant, but we can highly recommend Sala's 'Nice & Easy' 100 metres down the beach by the floating pier. Really delicious, genuinely fresh seafood.
Cozy bungalows near to beach”
Bellhouse is a really nice place about 30m far from the beach with perfect staff. Free water, coffee and paper tissues every day. But Ao Vongduan is a quite expensive bay, with prices 2-4(!) times higher than Bangkok. E.g. scooter rental 4-500 THB/day, shakes 90 THB, breakfast 100-150THB, sticky rice with mango 150THB. And also a lot of mosquitos at morning and evening in June.
Thank you, Bellhusе. We will come back to you!”
We were on Koh Samet for 8 days. The hotel is located a couple of minutes from the beach. The beach strip in the afternoon, when there is no low tide, is wide, and in the evening warm water arrives right under the tables of numerous cafes on the shore. We went to the neighboring bay to swim and sunbathe, there are fewer people and much deeper. Bungalows we ordered a standard, consisting of 3 combined at the end of the hotel. It had everything you need: air conditioning, sink, shower, bathroom, refrigerator, TV and electric kettle. The staff thoughtfully, every morning brought 2 bottles of water and coffee-sugar. The only drawback of these 3 bungalows is poor sound insulation. The first few days everything was fine, but then it rained and frogs began to roar behind the fence with the voices of buffaloes. After 2 almost sleepless nights, a very nice and pleasant girl, the administrator, resettled us for free in a beautiful separate bungalow, for which she thanks a lot and plus in karma!
Bellhouse is very nice hotel, near the beach. Koh Samet have too much insects, so I do not will travel there any more
Both positive and negative points”
This place has some positive and some negative asppects. It's a little worn down and the grounds are not well-organized. The price is a bit high when comparing to other guesthouses nearby. However, the rooms are clean and well-equipped. Mine even had a hair dryer, which is a rarity in Thai resorts, not to mention a kettle and instant coffe, television, shampoo and some shower gel, and fresh towels brought by the staff every day. This is not a standard in places within this price range. It's a good idea to book here if you're coming to Koh Samet just for a few days, like we did, and you don't want to waste time on looking for a place to stay. If you plan a longer trip, I'd probably consider other options.
We stayed at the bellhouse for 5 days 4 nights. We booked a standard room, it was small but big enough for us 2. The room was clean and had a good soft bed with soft pillows. The shower had clean warm water and good pressure. We had some problems with the wifi, we could always connect to their signal but we didnt always had connection. Sometimes i had internet and my gf not and other times my gf had internet and i not. Seemed to me like there was a limited nr of people that could use the wifi. if the wifi worked correctly i would give this price a 9/10 for the 1050 bath i paid for the room. The location is also good, a 1-2min walk from wongdeun beach. It isnt the best beach on the island but has many restaurants and beach chairs. Wongdeun is in the middle of the island so the location is also good if you want to check out the other beaches. Best you rent a moterbike on the pier, the price there is 300bath/day and everywhere else on the island they ask 400-500 bath. My favorite beaches are ao wai and ao prao, both only few min to go to by moterbike.
Immaculate, economical, peaceful, welcoming...!!”
It was a pleasure to stay in Bellhouse..! Going to a foreign island can be apprehensive, the choice of staying in Bellhouse can be a perfect dicission. Clean room Detailed amenities Friendly staff Close proximity to a splendid beach Economical stay Truly a wonderful choice..!
Just what I needed”
Simple accommodation; friendly and efficient staff; cleaned room well every day; drinking water, coffee and toilet roll supplied daily; 2 minutes walk to the beach. The location of Wang Duan is about half way down Koh Samet. Some people rent motor cycles, but as I prefer to walk I did that - no beach is more than about 30 minutes walk - you can get to many beaches by walking round the coastline - no need to set sight on a road :). Recommended if you are looking for good quality budget accommodation.
Great 5 nights at Bellhouse. Had room 9,it is a double(16 m) Short stroll to a nice beach that has restaurants, bars, store, massage ect although not busy at all through the day, there were plenty using the restaurants during the evening(always a good sign) Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and sufficiently equiped for me(just remember to put your towels out in the morning for fresh ones. All in all a nice stay in a nice place as I had hoped for.
Very well equipped chalets close to the beach.”
The chalets at The Bellhouse look fairly mundane, but what's impressive is the level of equipment. Outside shower to get sand off your feet, a/c, two fans, refrigerator, bottled water, kettle and coffee, towels, liquid soap and shampoo, heated shower, TV, safe, double-lockable door with a big, heavy padlock and good Internet between 7pm-8pm and 8am-9.30am (but not all the time).
Top notch experience, and will be back. ”
The Bellhouse is situated a 4 minutes walk away from the beach, and they also don't have a restaurant, thus cheaper than the beach resorts, but they do have an extremely friendly and professional staff, who even carried our more than heavy suitcases to and from the ferry. The Cambodian couple in the Housekeeping department is worth mentioning, they showed us the attitude that Thai people of the industry nowadays often lack.
very good value for money”
Rooms were neat and clean with all amenities. Staff spoke English well and very friendly and helpfull. We booked several excursions and were picked up and dropped off at the reception. I would recommend Bellhouse to my friends
Not much flash, located midway on the island, Bellhouse provides clean, comfortable, relatively basic accommodation that was perfect for a weekend or longer if you've got it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Helps to have a motorbike while there.
Good place to stay”
I stayed at the Bellhouse for 4 nights. It was generally a great stay although sound insulation is pretty bad so you kinda here when people talk outside or when your neighbours fart. People are usually careful not to make too much noise so it was fine. It's very clean, the staff are professional and welcoming and it's just a short walk from the beach.
Lovely maintained budget bungalows”
I stayed at the Bellhouse for the 3rd time and will return. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The bungalow was clean and well equipped with all amenities needed, even coffee making facilities and minibar. I will definitely return to the Bellhouse.
Good place to stay, 1 min walk to beach, My room have very good bed "soft", but not all room have this bed. next time i will take bellhouse again, and the same room, small room.
Nothing to complain but noisy A/C”
The double room was fine and quiet big. The furniture was old but that's ok. No breakfast included. Only negative point was the really noisy a/c and that accomodation is expensive at koh samet !!
Nice and very clean, short walk from the beach.”
Nothing wrong with Bellhouse, however slightly overpriced for what you get. I understand this is not necessarily the hotels doing, rather Agoda recommending the room rates based on other properties in the area. And there lies the problem. Recent development on this beach increased resort accommodation and totally changed the atmosphere from backpacking to package deals, bringing loads of Chinese tourists and driving up the prices of everything. We rented a motorbike for our full stay, enjoying the beautiful bay but avoiding overpriced meals and drinks. If you are looking to do anything after 11pm a motorbike is a must, nightlife is a 30 minutes walk away, 5 minutes on the bike on a good road. Skipping back to Bellhouse, I would stay there again, but having travelled extensively in SE Asia, I believe the room should be priced around 25 euro max, given they provide no breakfast.
Nice friendly place”
Nice little hotel on the 2nd line just below Tom's Pizza, in the center of the best beach - Wongduan. Our poms was happy to play there, and superior room (bungalo) is very comfortable and new.
