My wife and I stayed on October 26th and checked out on October 28th, 2023. We bought the room through Agoda and I showed the e-voucher for the reservation and was immediately served. The room was prepared on the 3rd floor, room number 301 facing the main road. The AC was cold and comfortable, the bed was soft, the white blankets were clean and fragrant. We were provided with coffee, tea, sugar sachets, 2 bottles of mineral water, shower gel, and shampoo. Three towels were provided for the 3-day, 2-night stay. The room had a large TV, reading lamp, 3-pin plug, 6 clothes hangers, a large wardrobe, a large mirror, and a safe deposit box. There was a 24-hour food stall in front of the hotel and a small supermarket below the hotel that was open 24 hours. During our 2-day stay, we crossed over to Singapore, and the walking distance to the Malaysia CIQ was about 200m. It was close to JB Sentral and Johor Baru City Square Mall. Overall, it was great. If we are blessed with good health from God, we will definitely come back here again.

Nice hotel a shortish walk from Johor Bahru Sentral (sic) KTM Railway and Bus Stations. Grab ride approx, RM5 Really comfortable bed, fridge, en suite bath/hot shower/toilet. Windows. A/C. Lift/Elevator. WiFi OK, but needs a new password every day from reception (bit of a pain). Staff great, really helpful. Replaced my fridge immediately when I mentioned it wasn't working. TV. As per usual in Malaysia, hardly any channels available. No big deal. Very clean, nice interior and the exterior really stands out again quite brutalist architecture nearby. Food court opposite does superb Malay and Chinese food. Cheap and tasty. JB Sentral also contains a huge shopping mall. Basically, all good at this price range in this location in the centre of JB.

Budget hotel in central location”
Upon arrival, greeted by friendly hotel staff member; Bryan. The booked room through Agoda was upgraded from Deluxe to Premier category. The hotel room includes comfortable bedding and a decent sized modern TV, although with limited channels, including 1 English speaking news channel; CNA. The AC works well. Upon arrival into my originally allocated room (409), I noticed an area of mould including some signs of dark mould on the ceiling above the bed and a slight odour of mould. Additionally, the walls of the room appeared rather unclean, perhaps a drink or food spill in two areas. Upon bringing these issues to the attention of hotel staff; Bryan, he kindly offered to show me a few other rooms. He apologised and indicated he’d take my feedback seriously for management to address. I accepted a replacement room in the same category (309) which appeared to contain no signs of mould and it had more recently painted, clean walls. Overall a good night’s sleep in a reasonably priced 3 star hotel. Hopefully management will be addressing the mould that appears to be in a few of their rooms, to ensure guest health and safety.

True to the reviews, the hotel is really no-frills. The rooms are spartan and there are a few cracks in the walls; the vent is a little brown. BUT. You will feel safe and cosy here, plus the sheets are very, very clean. I have sensitive skin so dust and dirt or other particles will make me itch and redden like crazy. Nothing like that at all. I had a great sleep from night 1 to night 3. Bryan's service was impeccable, very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to our request for a quieter room. The hotel is walking distance from JB City Square, and the Jalan Tan Hiok Nee stretch, so you're in good hands for accessibility. For those taking Grab to and fro, do note that the road has a lot of cars parked at the side, so your ride will take a little while to maneuver through. What's great is that the hotel is right next to a minimart. Water, snacks, toiletries... no worries. The hotel does provide a small bottle shower gel and a small bottle of shampoo gel, a disposable toothbrush and toothpaste tube, shower cap and handsoap. But that's about it Opposite and around are several eateries serving local delights (cash or Touch n Go/DuitNow only)... Good for takeaway or simply sitting there to eat. I believe the hotel is usually quieter, but we happened to stay during the Deepvali celebrations, which meant loud fireworks going off just a building away, at 1am. I'm sure it is quieter otherwise.
