Great Facilities, But Disappointing Service and Room Issues”
My recent stay at this hotel was a mix of frustration and delight. I had booked a lake-view room, but upon arrival, I was given a room without any view of the lake. When I requested a change, the front desk initially resisted, claiming that all rooms of my booked type were occupied. However, I observed several vacancies, leading me to believe they were trying to allocate less desirable rooms first. After threatening to file a complaint and while I was communicating with Agoda, the hotel finally called and agreed to change my room. This experience with the front desk was disheartening and diminished my initial excitement about the stay. Despite these issues, the hotel itself boasts excellent facilities and picturesque scenery. The approach to the hotel by boat is convenient and free of charge, enhancing the overall experience. A unique touch is the provision of biscuits to feed seagulls during the boat ride. Additionally, the boat pauses near the Philae Temple for photo opportunities at night. Each room features a small private hot spring pool, offering a delightful opportunity to relax and stargaze. The combination of these amenities does add a layer of charm and comfort to the stay. In summary, while the hotel excels in its facilities and unique experiences, the initial service at the front desk regarding the room issue was a significant drawback.

Beautiful Hotel”
The hotel was beautiful. The scenery around it was amazing. One can see the Philae temple from the Hotel. The location on the island is lovely too, except that it does get a bit of a hassle to take the boat ride. I personally enjoyed the boat ride to the hotel also but may not be as comfortable for very old people. I went with my older parents. My dad enjoyed it while my mom found it a little tiresome (so it is really subjective). However, once we arrived at the hotel, they had golf carts to take us up to the rooms, and our luggage was also helped with. The boats are available 24/7. We had an early morning flight to Abu Simbel and we took the boat ride at 4:30 am it was all arranged very well. We also received breakfast packages early morning and we could even keep our luggage at the hotel post check out. They sent our luggage to the dock in the evening. The restaurant at the hotel is good too. The rooms were lovely, clean, and well-accessorized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and totally recommend it.

We were here in the offseason during summer so tourist level was lower than usual. Hotel was all you could ask for in an extraordinary location overlooking the Philae Temple, albeit less convenient given need for boat transfer. Splendid stay nonetheless - clean rooms, great service, punctual transport arrangements.

Staffs were all nice and polite. The view from our room was wonderful and beautiful. The hotel was so private and peaceful. In the evening there was a local singing band at the restaurant while we were having our dinner. Before we booked this hotel we did our homework and knew already the location was on the small island in the middle of the Nile (hotel is always there and it cannot move or relocate itself, so it is our responsibility to know what we are about to select, book and pay for ourselves). However, we could also take a free boat service from the hotel across back to the mainland and call a cap to see something in the city, but we didn’t want to because we prepared to just stay relax at the hotel with an outdoor jacuzzi at our room and also had some drinks at their openair bar. And we planned to explore the city when we moved in the next hotel in the city, so we were not in a rush to do so. The price list for food and drinks was reasonable. I would say we would come back to stay at this hotel again if we have a chance to be back to Aswan.

The view, cleanliness and staff was impeccable. The issue is the access to the hotel is annoying, the unnamed dock to the hotel is located in a shady and undeveloped town, 20 min boat ride but doesn’t have a sign that’s for BenBen and then a high incline walk/motor cart up to the hotel and rooms. When you’re in, everything is perfect. I wish there’s more activities to do inside the hotel. They have 1 restaurant and a meditation place. They said there’s going to be a spa soon. If they add more activities in the hotel then people can enjoy the inside and not have to go through the hassle of coming in and out of the hotel. Maybe a gym, a large pool for everyone, shops to buy local food and souvenirs. I hope the spa is large and have a lot of massages, facial, etc. Lastly, the customer service was amazing. They arranged the boat at 4am since my flight was so early and gave a breakfast box to go.
