Take a serious look at Hotel Benczur ”
You might think that the location of this hotel is too far from all the tourist sights when you look on a map . That couldn't be so far from the truth. The Nr. 1 metro is just 2 streets away. This Metro has fewer than than 15 or 16 steps to enter the platform. Carriages run every 2 minutes during the day and every 3 in off-hrs. The neighbourhood is filled with many trees and lovely old villas that have mostly been converted into embassies. It never took longer than 10 or 15 minutes to reach all destinations. Plus staff at Benzcur are so kind and helpful!
Unfriendly staff and 80s interior design!”
We just did not feel welcome at the hotel and had a feeling like every question we asked was a bother for staff at the reception. As for housekeeping, there is nothing to say cause we were there for 2 nights and kept our "do not disturb" sign on the whole time because we just did not feel safest. We booked room with breakfast just so we could come there and they would tell us it is a room only and brekfast is 9 Euros. Great thing about this hotel is location and a quiet street, small relatively cheap shops near by. I hope that, whoever plans to stay at Benczur, reads this and gets prepared for unexpected situations. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY FRIENDS.
Very good - but.......”
Good value, excellent location, clean with good facilities. Staff on Reception are helpful but - they could do with some lessons in smiling and friendliness!
Accomodatin for family event”
I booked multiple rooms here for my family members coming to our wedding from abroad or the countryside. The staff (except one really nice older guy at the reception) was very unfriendly when I went to the hotel to check the rooms personally. But my family liked the rooms and had a pleasant stay in the hotel.
Friendly service. Great, quiet location”
Close to public transport, in a quiet diplomatic area with on street and hotel car parking. Hotel has more than adequate economy rooms as well as comfortable, executive accommodation. Spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. Great service, especially at reception. Bar is functional rather than cosy. Very good wifi and cash machine in the lobby.
Nice and quiet Hotel ”
We arrived late, did not find a restaurant in Area around hotel so late. Could have eaten at the Hotel, but we wanted to walk a little before the Night came. Very nice and Polite People working at the hotel. Breakfast ok, some Capasaty problem in the Mornings........... but no problem to use coffee cups to have Juice in ;-D
Great location and excellent value”
Peaceful location in a pleasant area of Budapest yet near the centre and public transport. For a one night stop, with a need for parking, this hotel is great. They offer a variety of rooms priced according to the level of comfort. The reception staff are always extremely efficient and extend a friendly welcome to their visitors
Excellent location,clean and comfortable ”
The staff are friendly, the check in was maybe a little too slow. The room was spacious enough for the three of us. There could be extra pillows in the cupboard as not all of us are used to sleeping on such small ones. The breakfast was very good. Good value for money when booked through Agoda. Best price.
Nice hotel in the city center”
we had a nice stay of 4 days here with my daughter (aged 13). the location is the main point of this hotel, most of the attractions on the pest side can be reached easily. the street is calm and green, one can have a good sleep after a day spent with fast city-tour.
Very good hotel”
The hotel is located in Benczur utca, in a very quiet and nice area of Budapest, just 3-4 minutes walk from busy Andrassy street, between Bajza utca and Hosok ter (Heroes' Square) metro stations (Yellow line M1). We booked 2 standard double rooms. Unfortunately, not all of them had air-conditioning. Anyway, very polite and professional staff of the hotel helped us to get the room with air-conditioning. Besides, they helped us a lot with other questions. I would especially like to point out and thank staff of the reception He is a real professional and very good man! The hotel also offers free safe in the reception, free internet access in the lobby (hotel computer and wi fi, if you have your own computer). Breakfast is quite good, the restaurant is big enough, clean and cozy.
Near Heroes Square not the real Center”
Okay budget option for if you need to stay near heroes square. A but outdated and unfriendly staff
Good hotel in a quiet yet convenient location. Good value for money.”
Always friendly reception staff. Bar closes far too early for a hotel of this size.
Very warm hotel, clean, excellent location near metro and buses. Overall, an enjoyable stay.
Our stay in Budapest at Benczur Hotel.”
We liked the location of the hotel and the staff where friendly. Good breakfast. Room was only adequate with our beds placed end to end not ideal. We really enjoyed our stay in Budapest - beautiful city.
Outdated rooms expensive parking”
They have two different room types, one is from the 80s . So you made a reservation, then after check in you realize that is not what you wanted, but for an extra 20 euro they change it. Plus the parking and if you add these all together you can get a much better hotel for that prize.
Well priced, comfortable but dull”
this hotel was our second during a 6 night stay in budapest. the first was gorgeous but fully booked for the last 3 nights. we opted for something cheap expecting not to be in the room much anyway. this hotel is large, many guests and we could have been anywhere in the world. it was a classic, dull "hotel". but that said, nothing was really wrong wit it either. clean, big rooms, ok bed, located near the city park. the surprise was the restaurant, the food was really good. the breakfast, though expensive by budapest standards, was really good and varied.
it has a very good location, just some minutes from Andrássy út Hősök tere, Városliget. Its value is outstanding according to its 3*
nice stay, safe and close to main sightseeing area”
great stay experience. quiet area near everything.
