Excellent location, staff extremely friendly.

Absolutely excellent... the place is great especially becasue of the location-price compromise! The people are nice and I would absolutely go back.

great location, huge rooms
spacious rooms with jaccuzzi
lets face it, joa is/was a love hotel ( eg. pay by the hour....nudge nudge ) that is making an effort to transform itself into a business hotel. i have stayed there many times and have no major complaints, good value for money in my opinion. the fact that there is no heater in the room is a bit of a surprise plus they have the world’s most complicated remote control for every light or appliance that is anything but intuitive. breakfast remains still a challenge. however, for the $$$ paid, it was still worthwhile in my opinion.

Thank you very much for the detailed review. Such valuable opinion as yours is absolutely working as a stimulation to push us forward. By the way, every room has heater installed on the wall. ^^ Probably, a front clerk forgot to explain. I am very sorry. And, regarding the remote controller, yes, it looks a little complicated, but the manipulation is quite simple. Anyway, it gave you a kind of challenge, and a front clerk should have explained it more throughly. I am very sorry about that.-- GM

Basic accommodation but alright
I liked the fact that the hotel room was convenient.
i stayed in this hotel for attending a conference, which happened to be quite close from where the hotel is located. i would recommend this hotel for business travellers.

Fair price in Suwon
Good breakfast, helpful staff
This is a former love hotel but they have made a good job of converting it to a normal hotel. Rooms have no windows but are very large with a great bathroom with shower and jacuzzi. The breakfast every morning was surprisingly good. Wifi was available in the lobby but not in the room, however there was a LAN cable connection in the room. The location of this hotel is very close to the IBIS Suwon but at half the price and with breakfast included the JOA hotel is much better value than the Ibis (which I also stayed at for 3 days on this trip).

Hidden Little Oasis
Huge rooms, quite economical, lovely bathroom
this hotel truly was a joy! my girlfriend and i had to go to ajou hospital, and we were looking for something not too far from the hopsital, and not very far from the station. were we impressed when we walked into our suite/apt! lighting/ac/bed/surround system were remote controlled; it had a 'living room' complete with a couch. modern decor provided a barrier between that and the 'bedroom'. the hydraulic bed was the most comfortable thing; b/c it moved in 3 phases (head/neck, torso, legs) you could adjust into various recliner settings. the room in itself was relaxing. it was unfortunate we were only there for one night!

Very good hotel and odd things to make you smile
Ideal location for centre and good service
For the low cost that you pay Agoda it is excellent service and comfortable accomodation. Hotel was in perfect location for access to Suwon, room was spacious and in particular the bathroom was superb with a very good power shower. Breakfast was poor but typical South Korean fayre trying to accomodate european tastes. Some drawbacks on hotel, room lighting can be controlled by reception so some days you return to your room and the lights don't work until you go back to reception to ask for them to be activated again. Whirlpool bath didn't work. Plus side was ability to leave clothes for laundrying and have them return next day at no cost, but be warned they are washed but not ironed. Advertised a business centre facility but turned out to be a room adjacent to breakfast room with four chairs and a table. No WiFi but it does have cabled internet in room. Overall I would be happy to stay again as it has a comfortable feel to it and a quirkiness that adds to it's likeability.

A little pricey for the amenities (not) offered.
Big tub, friendly service
I was disappointed that none of the extra features in the room worked. The bed didn't elevate, the bath jets didn't have a switch, one of the showerheads was not attached to water.

Very good for location
good location to customer and restaurants
was my 5th time staying at the Joa. Staff are friendly, room was big, clean, remote controls are anything but intuitive though. The breakfast is still the same....needs major improvement in my opinion. English speaking kitchen staff would be a big plus too. OK value for your money since it was quite cheap.
