This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. A damage deposit of ZAR 1000 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note that there is a 3 km unpaved road which has to be taken to reach the property.

Little gem in Drakensberg”
We had the chance to stay there during our trip in South Africa. Little property on top of a hill, surrounded by the mountains. We stayed in the cottage #8 and I highly recommend it as the view was one of the best among all of the them. The cottage itself is nicely decorated. It gives you a bit of this grandma's house feeling, which is very cozy and homey, while its very modern inside, with a fully equipped kitchen if you need to cook. Since temperatures were dropping in the evening we were preparing the fire every day in the chimney. Waking up in the morning is a wonderful experience, with this stunning view offered to you. Amazing hiking trails are located nearby. Better to make some groceries ahead of your stay if you plan to cook, as the nearest city with decent store is Harrismith, at around 40mn drive. Overall, we were extremely pleased during our stay, and we highly recommend the place for a superb break into the Drakensberg.

Great location 15 minutes from the entrance to Royal Natal National Park. Immaculate peaceful grounds with pool and amazing views. The cottages are very cute if a little dated. Ours had an outdoor seating area where we could eat with a view of the famous amphitheatre mountains in the National Park. We were a little unsure about the food being brought to the cottage. But each night the food was excellent quality, hot and filling. The breakfasts the same. This will be where we stay of we are ever lucky enough to return to the northern Drakensberg.

Berghouse + Cottages”
After a steep drive up a rough road we came to the stunning Berghouse and Cottages - the cottage was spacious and very comfortable with absolutely stunning views. Food was amazing and brought to our veranda by staff so we could eat and admire the view. The pool was cool but perfectly sized to swim a little and generally cool down. There were a number of walks around the grounds and Royal Natal National Park was quite close. Probably the highlight of our 3 weeks in South Africa.

beautiful view from our Cottage (the one in the picture). really nicely decorated. lovely and clean and beautifully warm. we made good use of the fireplace. dinner and breakfast are brought to your room; both meals were good. really pleasant host Chantal. Would I go again - definitely :)

Einzigartiger Blick auf die nördlichen Drakensberge”
Wir hatten den Bungalow "Thula Thula" und waren begeistert. Man hat das Häuschen (60 m²) komplett für sich alleine. Der nächste Bungalow ist weit entfernt. Lage direkt über dem schönen Pool (den man meistens alleine nutzen kann) der aber im April sehr kalt war. Von der Terasse hat man einen unglaublichen Ausblick auf die nördlichen Drakensberge - wirklich einzigartig. Das Haus ist recht rustikal eingerichtet - pass aber zu der Lage. Das Bett war hervorragend. Man kann HP Verpflegung dazu buchen oderals Selbstversorger. Der nächste Supermarkt ist jedoch weit entfernt, alleine die Zufahrt auf den Berg zur Unterkunft ist ca. 10 Minuten( 3km) auf einer Stein- Schotterpiste. Mit einem SUV gut zu fakhren mit "normalem" PKW mit etwas Vorsicht geht aber auch. Als wir hier waren ist auch ein VW Polo da gewesen - der hat es auch geschafft. Wir hatten HP gebucht - das Essen wird morgends und Abends von einer Angestellten in den Bungalow gebracht und war tatsächlich noch heiß und schmackhaft.
