Ideal for the business traveler”
The Best Western Green Hill hotel is conveniently located and within easy access of restaurants in the Lake area. It is ideal for the business traveler as it has a good wifi, good breakfast selection and helpful staff who are ready to flag taxis for you and negotiate fair prices for your destination.
New and new rooms with great service”
my husband and i were pleasantly surprised by the standard of green hilll hotel. the rooms were very new, smells good, good working bathrooms, bed was comfortable and clean. and to top it off, the hotel staff were knowledgeable and very friendly and accommodating. the water in the minibar was very reasonably priced. we will definitely stay here again if we go back to yangon.
Good price-value and location”
Amoung the strongly overpriced hotels in Yangon, the Green Hill is a good newcomer. As it is a frenchise, with all typical "myanma deficiencies" (meaning: "we can do it alone), Best Western should improve and professionalize the place: aircon positioning, curtains, pillows, hot water, electrical plugs (extremely few - and dangerous ones on the bed). No appropriate table for laptop/business people, but a hair dryer on this table beside the window - nothing, a business traveller would rate normal. TV fixed on the wall, only visible from bed. You sit on the table - forget TV. On the other side, it is a nice place at a safe place, and the personnel are all kind and helpful. Recommandation: keep the people and adjust the rooms for business visitors - who are the majority.
Value for Money”
Green Hill Hotel is not a large hotel but the staffs are well trained. They know what to do and can serve you well. The room is quite spacious although it does not look luxurious but in terms of comfort, it turns out very well.
Hotel in New CBD”
I travel extensively. I find Best Western Green Hill Hotel very comfortable. It feels like coming home.
very clean and staff are very nice to customer”
very very nice. come and feel to green hill. I like this hotel...feel relax and all staffs are nice to customers and good language skill. When you reach yangon, directly go to green hill hotel ^ ^
Large & clean rooms. Attentive staff.”
Good value for money. Large & clean rooms with all amenities. Good quality breakfast. Hotel is centrally located in Yangon but you definitedly need a car. We booked 2 rooms with Pagoda view (more expensive)but initially we were assigned rooms next door to a large tour group who would definitely make loud noise so we immediately requested new rooms on a different floor. Then, we were given 1 room with city view and 1 room facing Shwedagon pagoda but it was totally eclipsed by trees. I immediately asked for a change for the city view room. However, my parents have already unpacked so they were not about to move anywhere. However, on the last day they made up for that by allowing us to have a late check-out which was nic nice. Wifi in the room is rather weak and not stable.
Good location, new hotel, clean room”
green hill hotel is just opened in year 2012. so it is still new. it is situated at the back of chatrium hotel so it is convenient location. the room is clean. the entrance is quite narrow which needs careful for car drive. if compared with everywhere high price hotel, i think it is worth to stay.
Good for bussiness trip with reasonable price”
Whenever I go to Yangon with my junior, I always go to Green hill hotel due to good place, good service and clean room. They always try to make renovaton with good accessories for better looks.
Fair price and good view hotel”
I stay the shewdagon pagoda view room. It is really nice view. The price is reasonable price for Yangon city. The location is close to Royal lake. The hotel is a bit far from the shopping center but can take a cap about 15 minutes to Scotch market.
5 Star hotel environment with 3 star spending”
Very pleasat stay in this hotel.Room is large and clean especially bedsheet. I have good sleep during the nights. The attentive staffs always made me feel homely. Though this is not the 5 Star rated hotel but i would say the facilities are very satisfactory except that there isn't a swimming pool. But that's alright because i seldom go to the swimming pool when i am on a business trip. I will stay at this hotel again when i come to Yangon for business or tour.
located close to the lake, well-designed room”
the room is a surprise and the room is well-designed, clean and spacious. I chose the room with view at the biggest pagoda in Yangon. Located close the pagoda and lake, it is really fascinating and beautiful. Breakfast is good and though they don't serve buffet lunch or dinner, the food is priced reasonably. Hotel price is considerably high but still cheap compared to other hotels surrounding Yangon city. Strongly recommended.
Lovely hotel in a great location”
We had a lovely stay, as it was close to the city centre. Unfortunately, the bar did not have any of the spirits it had advertised on the bar menu. I love the fact that they advertise on the breakfast table that there will be a charge per 100gms for the food taken from the buffet and not eaten. The amount of food wasted at hotel buffets is dreadful, so I support this great idea. Well done Green Hill Hotel!!!
a very pleasant stay and excellent sevice by the manager and staff. higly recommended for its very green pagoda view, cleanliness, rooms size and decoration and location, away from the hustle and bustle. the high ceilings of the rooms are especially impressive as are the full range of complimentary personal items allowed for guests. one small drawback was that the front desk staff had very limited english but that was cmpensated for by the avalability of other staff who were evry willing and able to help, and a manager who was flunet and exceptional is his polite welcome. the welcome drinks were delicious but could also be delivered with a little more grace. higly recommended.
Very nice hotel”
This is one of my top choices of hotels in Yangon. It's almost to the standard of the main top hotels like Traders and the Park Royal but much cheaper - although it' still a bit on the pricey side. It is very comfortable and the staff are very friendly - a great hotel for both business and pleasure!
Great service and value in an inflated market”
Green Hill is a new, clean and good standard 3/4 star facility with great service and staff. It stands out among hotels in its range for Yangon, which is an inflated hotel market for SE Asia.
good hotel and value for money”
in a country where most hotels are on the high end, green hill hotel was decently price with basic amenities. the hotel was a little further away from city centre but nothing a taxi ride couldnt solve. the hotel room is spacious and clean. staff were very friendly. would go back to stay.
Comfortable stay in Best Western Green Hill”
I was travelling to Yangon for business. It's my first time staying in this hotel. Location is near to city area. Staff were friendly and polite. Service was good. The room was clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and I had very good sleep. One area to improve on was sound proofing of rooms. My room was near the elevator and I could hear people coming out of the lift sometimes. The hotel was near a monastry and at around 4am daily, the monastry will sound a bell to wake the monks up. This could be heard from my room.
A good cheaper hotel option.”
A good, clean hotel, newly built, and although not in the city centre, taxis are cheap enough to make this a cheaper option than many more expensive hotels. Taxi cost from the airport: 7000 kyat, taxi to city centre (Bogyoke Market): 2000 kyat, Taukkyan War Cemetery: 10,000 kyat. Hotels are expensive here and this was a reasonable option - but expensive in comparison to other SE Asian countries. There is a restaurant downstairs and breakfast was okay if you're not too fussy. Lots of choice but remember this isn't a western hotel! We ate later in the morning and food was not as hot as it could be. Staff are friendly and helped with getting taxis, advising on prices, etc. Myanmar's first Starbucks opened just 5 minutes walk away, right next to the upmarket Chatrium Hotel. Also walking distance to Kandawgyi Lake. We had several powercuts every day but that's apparently to be expected wherever you stay. The hotel emergency generator kicked in within minutes every time.
good value , good location basic but it works ”
a recently opened hotel . it won't win any design awards but everything worked . yangon is suffering from an undersupply of hotels as business and tourist travel dramatiically increases . room rates have risen by 2-300 % over two years and the green hill represents good valu e for money
