Good location but smalll rooms”
stayed at the Best Western Hotel Causeway Bay for a family trip to Hong Kong. the location of the hotel was fantastic, just about 5 minutes walk to Causeway Bay station and there were quite some eateries as well as a wet market beside the hotel as well. However, the hotel seems quite new and quite a few cab drivers were not sure of where the hotel is. Otherwise, a good stay. The rooms were a tad bit small and it was not easy to get queen sized beds, so we ended up having 2 singles instead.
Nice Hotel with a Good View”
This was my first time staying at the Best Western. I chose it only because it was the most reasonably priced hotel in an area I prefer on what was an expensive weekend for hotels in Hong Kong. The hotel entrance is a bit hidden, but fortunately the taxi driver found it without much trouble. It could be tricky if you're walking from the Causeway Bay MTR. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The decoration of the hotel is a bit dated, having drippy chandeliers and paisley wall paper. The rooms are a bit small, too. I was given a room on a high floor, and the view was fantastic, probably one of the best views of HK Island I've had. The room has free Wi-Fi, too. Just need to get the password from reception. Overall, it's a good hotel that's only a 5-7 minute walk from Times Square, so the location is fine. I probably wouldn't stay again except if like this situation, it's the best priced hotel on an expensive weekend for hotels.
Great location, amazing staff, but small rooms”
I would recommend this hotel to any couples or solo travelers (for reasons I will explain later) who are looking to visit Hong Kong. The staff were amazing, very friendly and always willing to help, especially the concierge team downstairs on the ground floor! The hotel is very well maintained, very clean and modern. The location of the hotel is also great, right by Times Square and two stops on the Subway to SOHO (less than 5 minutes), also if you want to visit Tsim Sha Tsui side it's only 15 minutes! However, as mentioned I would only recommend this hotel to couples or solo travelers, as the rooms are very very small, and not suitable for families, especially if you are traveling as an older child or adult with parents or grandparents like I was. We always stay in best western hotels wherever we travel in the world, and we have never had such a small room! I know space is a premium in Hong Kong, and I do understand that, but I think the hotel could sacrifice the number of rooms in order to make some rooms bigger, especially for families, as I mention. Also if you are traveling to or from the hotel from the airport I would recommend using the airport bus service offered by the hotel, it is very convienient and much cheaper than taking a taxi! Overall, a very enjoyable stay, shame about the room size, the staff were amazing, great location, certainly somewhere I would recommend!
Generally, the hotel is good and conveniently located, just few minutes walk from Causeway Bay MTR station. However, in the morning the staff was persistently knocking onto my door at 10.30 am though they have been perfectly aware of the fact that I am checking out at 12, so minus 1 hour sleep. Nevertheless, the staff decided to assist me in waking up faster so they continued dialing the room phone which was indeed irritating. By the way, this problem is shared by Best Western Hotel in Sheung Wan area, as well. Another annoying item was a glass between the bedroom and the shower making privacy just impossible. Overall, the hotel is newly decorated, and could be recommended for non-ambitious audience, especially due to its more than reasonable rate as compared to other hotels in Causeway Bay area.
A real deal”
BWH is one of the best deals you can have in this area in terms of money. It would not amaze you with greatest services but it is a fine place to stay. Times Square, MTR and shopping areas are just few minutes away. The surroundings are not much impressive but it should not discomfort you is you want an economy-class stay. Otherwise there are more hotels in the area with better location at Lockhart Rd and Hennessy Rd. The only thing that always confused me in Best Western hotels in Hong Kong is that the staff starts knocking onto your door starting from 8 am! Even you are sick or sleeping they will keep on disturbing you unless they clean up. Be aware that many rooms have glass doors in a bathroom.
Small and neat hotel”
We were very satisfied with this hotel, spotless rooms with outstanding service. Room is clean and spacious. Location at Causeway bay is good for Hong Kong Island and many restaurants and shopping facilities are nearby. Price is reasonable as Hong Kong hotel price is generally high. A great choice to stay in Hong Kong.
ideal location on hong kong side.”
hotel is located at ideal location within 2 minutes walk to time square (causeway bay mtr station) just 2 stations away from central station (hk airport express station) moreover, it's also perfect who love to party at lan kai fong since you don't need to worry of taxi fee after clubbing. (it won't exceed 50hkd)however, best western is offering very good price comparing to other hotels nearby. room size is a bit small but most of hotels in same range room are also small too. i was lucky that they let me stay on the rooftop which you can see a magnificent view of hongkong (compatible to view from victoria peak) my room has outdoor jacuzzi. unfortunately, the weather was too cold to enjoy outdoor bathtub with those unforgetable view.
Great location near Times Square Mall”
This was my first time at the Best Western Causeway Bay. It is about a 3-minute walk to the Times Square Mall and MTR station. Along the same road as the hotel, one can find a lovely walking street loaded with food and restaurants stands. It is very busy, but a neat place to people watch while you pick up fresh fruits and vegetables. The front desk staff are hospitable and treated me with courtesy and a smile. I was originally given a smoking room, and I had to go back down to see if it could be changed to a non-smoking room. There was no problem! Also, the hotel offers free WiFi. A great place and a great stay... I will definitely book here again!
hotel in a very convenient location”
the hotel is conveniently located less than 5 minutes walk from causeway bay and probably about 10 minutes walk from the causeway bay mtr station. there are also many buses and trams and taxis around. we did not eat in the hotel because there are an enormous number of ptions for breakfast lunch and dinner around the hotel. the service in the hotel was good but the room was a very small. this is not a problem if you are out all the time sightseeing or shopping. the bed was a little bit soft (i like a rock hard bed for my bad back) and this is the only reason i might not stay in his hotel again because the price i had this time was very reasonable.
great hotel but small rooms”
A great quality hotel in a great shopping area of causeway bay. Room was small size and bathroom great. A comparatively new hotel with ample features in room. Staff were friendly and very helpful. although swimming pool was not available, however, its not what i expected being in Hong Kong. About 300 meters to main shops and public transport. extremely close to times square and other shopping area and major attractions. no free breakfast, however, many good eating outlets nearby make it a great and convenient place to stay out of many other hotels in this area. if you intend to stay at causeway bay, this is perhaps the best available new hotel at unbeatable price.
great location but small room”
location is great. it is only 8 mins walk to causeway bay station. the reception area is nice and the staffs are very friendly especially the concierge. as a first-timer in hong kong, they are very helpful with recommendations on places to visit. rooms may be a little small but the interior looks fabulous and brAND NEW. bed is comfortable. there are many places to eat around d corner.
the hotel is located at causeway bay especially near the times square. it is good for tourists to go shopping and dining. there are diverse merchants in causeway bay providing different products and services to customers. you can buy fashion, electrical appliances, sports shoes, luxury assessories and so on. moreover, food is quite economics ranging from 40hkd to 90hkd for a regular meal set per one . the meal combo may include meat, vegeatable, rice/noodle and drink. all in all, the hotel provides me a convenient travelling time to visit most of tourist spots.
a nice value hotel”
The Best Western hotel at Causeway bay is a nice hotel and value for your money. that's why i been there Two times in a month. It's a good location in a busy street. You can ride or even walk to place you want to go.I recommended this hotel to other who want to stay in hong kong.
Value for money, but tiny rooms ”
the immediate surroundings of the hotel give a very local feel as it is close to a local market. but after a 2-5 minute walk you are at times square and causeway bay mtr, which is great for shoppers. the room i was staying was tiny though (which generally is the standard for hong kong hotels), and as a business traveller i was disappointed that there was no proper wardrobe for my clothes, had to keep my staff in the suitcase and hanged on the door on two hangers also, it was damn cold in the room as it was the usual hong kong cold airconditioning on, and whatever i tried, the temperature did not increase much. the staff is great and helpful and check-in and check-out was fast. it's a great value for money for shoppers and tourist, probably not the top choise for business, unless you are budget conscious in hong kong, as the price i got via agoda was just surprisingly good for hong kong.
hotel located in a good location in hong kong, very close to mtr causeway bay, staff was excellent, the front desk set me up on the 37th floor with a great view of hong kong island (could see a little bit of victoria harbour), hotel was a bit on the pricey side but for hong kong i guess that's normal.
Lovely boutique hotel”
best western hotel causeway bay is just right at the prime location of hong kong.. causewaybay. only 2 mins you could get to the heart of this area with almost everything you are expected to see and to shop in hk. i checked in to a standard room and didn't expect it will be spacious. it is a very small twin bed room but full set up with free wifi, coffee and tea counter, safe, hairdryer..etc. reasonable price for a short stay.
This is a late review.”
My friend and I stayed here around July and we were lucky to have gotten a really good price, only around USD96 (PhP4,590) for a 2N stay for 2 guests. It's near Times Square, the bus stops (1 short ride away to Ocean Park), the market, 7-11, Pricemart, small restaurants, etc etc. Unfortunately, a taxi cannot drop you off right in front of Best Western-Causeway. I think it's because the street in front of the hotel is a one-way street, I'm not really sure, but it's a hassle when you're tired, it's raining, you're carrying shopping bags, have aching feet and you're tired (worth mentioning twice, you get the picture!). Don't hesitate to email them for your inquiries/clarifications, they will reply promptly. I think I emailed them 5-6 times. Check-out time is 12nn, but they let us stay until 1pm to prepare our things. There's a security deposit upon check-in, I forgot how much, but if you want to use a credit card for the security deposit, make sure it's the same card you used for the hotel booking. Overall, and considering the price we paid, we had a really good stay here. I cannot comment on the food because our booking did not include the breakfast. I checked the price for the same kind of room for Dec 8-10 and I saw it goes for USD199....so yeah, July is definitely a good month to book at Best Western-Causeway :)
Convenient Location, good value”
The hotel location is convenient, however, it locates next to a wet market. Inside of the hotel is fairly clean, but outside of the hotel is so so. Rooms are pretty small but you can't complain much for the price. I paid around US$50 to $60 a night. That was not a bad price at all in Causeway Bay, minutes of walk to Time Square and MTR station. Cross Harbor Bus stops were 1 minute walk from the hotel, only one stop to inter-city train to China. Overall, it is a decent hotel for sleeping.
I love Hong Kong!”
It was a great stay at best western causeway bay hotel! So close to everything including the local fresh food markets, shopping, time square, the MTR is close by, we were on the 36th floor with an amazing view. Nothing seemed to be a problem for the staff we had great service the whole time we were there. If I had one thing I'd like them to change it would be get thicker bath towels :) We would stay there again it was great value for money.
Great option for the price”
Best Western Causeway Bay is well located, with access to multiple options for laundry, food, convenience stores, transport, and shopping centers for all budgets. Its staff is always willing to assist and suggest. Wi Fi is very good as wellnas cleaness. This was my second time there and Iwill be staying there again in the future.
