We love to stay in this hotel. My only complain is that we were place in smoking room on top floor where you have to walk the stair. I booked my room eight months ahead of time, still a 74 years old couple has to suffer this.
I stayed at this place before and got ill from paint poisoning. But due to lack of decent alternatives in this area, away from the "sleaze areas" I came back. The breakfast buffet is ok and the room is ok for a solo traveller. Not massive but clean and the staff at least will call to ask if you want your room clean, if you do not surface early. That is ok by me. The location is good and it is an ok hotel. My problem this time was not a fault of the hotel. I was leaving after breakfast but sadly the room above must have had Filipinos staying in it. One of their troup must have thought it was a basketball court, as all i got for about an hour and a half, from about 6a.m was a bouncing basketball, which was excruciating. It never stopped. Plus earlier in the morning, about 4a.m. lots of loud talking from people coming in late, with no respect for those who may be trying to sleep. This went on for many minutes, no one tried to stop them even though the reception area should have heard it.
Clean hotel, friendly competent staff, good breakfast buffet and excellent location. No gym or Dem pool.
Comfort stay at Best Western Ermita”
I have stayed in this hotel few times and I will continue to stay here where possible. Its a good value hotel and I like the location that meets my requirements. Friendly staff , comfy rooms and splendid dining options.
Late and great staff”
I arrived late from Xiamen China and was greatful that my room was still available for me and my wife. The desk clerk was very courteous and got us in without a problem. Everything in the room was clean and working order. Breakfast was more local style than what I was accustomed to. Otherwise, it was a great stay.
Good Location for US Embassy transactions”
Great breakfast, clean room despite signs of wear and tear, accommodating staff. Great location if you have transactions at the US Embassy, otherwise, even Grab cars are not quite familiar with the hotel nor the area. Surrounding area not so clean though.
Thanks to all the staff, especially She on reception. Good mid-range hotel very well located for visiting the historic old city, Rizal Park and national museums. Suite room was spacious and lovely pancakes/bacon for breakfast.
3 night stay”
The building is old but the rooms are surprisingly high end, although the bed was really to hard, great washrooms and decor. All the staff were wonderful, accomidating and most of all non judgemental. By that I’m referring to all the visitors I had. I will stay again and recommend to friends. The neighbourhood is a bit rough but not dangerous. Thanks best western La Corona
Great choice if you have to go to US embassy”
Solid 3 star hotel. Can walk to the US Embassy. Staff was pleasant. Room clean, decent tv. AC worked. Breakfast is ok - pancakes were good and you can get eggs made to order. If you have to go to the embassy this is a solid affordable choice.
A little bit old hotel”
The wifi almost didn't work. Really bad connection. Worked a little bit sometimes. That must be improved a lot before I stay there again.
Long time no stay but still great”
Very nice room and good shower Buffet breakfast very good and staff very helpfull Would certainly stay again
Its awesome and great location”
Its minutes to all the bars and the staff is polite and awesome.
My 3rd floor room facing de la pillar st , was noisy most of the night and early morning. Other than that the room was great , lovely big bed.
Nice hotel in Malate”
Good location and nice rooms, stuff is very friendly
Payment was confusing”
It took 3 trips to the front desk to sort out payment. It was unclear whether the charge on my credit card was reversible. It appears that they float a charge of a night, then charge again by actually asking you to swipe your card at the front desk. I had to call Citibank and ask the phonebanker to talk to the front desk staff. I only spent a night but spent probably more than an hour in total trying to sort the stuff out with 2 different front desk staff. At the time we came, the hallways were not pleasing to the eyes since they were being painted. Also, my sleep quality because of the bed was interrupted.
“A Good affordable stay””

Alan & Nori from UK”
We stayed here again in late September as both my wife and I have found the staff very willing, helpful and ready to assist whenever they can. Our room was large and always clean, full marks go to the domestic (cleaners) staff. The buffet breakfast is very good value, although I wasn't keen on the orange juice. seemed to have a powdery tang to it. The location is very good, being close to malls. etc. Overall I would certianly recomend this hotel and no doubt the next time we visit Manila we will stay here.
I have already booked online for one bed,but the receptionist said Two twin beds for me and ask me to show the room type for her ,even I need to email the confirmation form to the hotel mailbox, I am not sure the procedure of check in,I think everything should be clear in your system ,however it was not good experience for that. And until my check out day,the housekeeper knocked my door twice during 10:00-1030am(check out time 12:00pm) , I said I am not ready to checkout at first time, but still someone came to my room. Aside from that everything was good
Decent location decent value for money decent breakfast”
A fairly typical stay. The breakfast was OK. It was very crowded but they had seating available after waiting for a while. The room was decent nothing remarkable. It was fairly close for us to do our business at the embassy. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby
The staff were very helpful and professional. The Hotel is run to an international standard so it was clean and comfortable. I will be staying at the hotel again. The Hotel is located only a short walk to the Si-Kat bus terminal, which is great if you are travelling to Puerto Galera
