very good location”

value for money, location, staff

Best Western Hotel Nagoya is very very near Nagoya Tokyu Hotel. The best way to reach the hotel from the airport is to ride the bus. It has a Starbucks below and lots of restaurants nearby that closes late at night. Exit 12 of Sakae station is nearby. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Great Location & Comfortable”

Location, Cleanliness, Price

This hotel is located in the Sakae district of Nagoya. There are a lot of great restaurants and shops in the area as well as a lot of interesting museums and parks. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the Sakae station. The actual neighborhood the hotel in doesn't have a lot of the big stores. These stores are about 10 minutes away by foot, but this was a good thing because the area around the hotel was much quieter and the cafes were also a lot less crowded. we did not find it inconvenient at all to walk down the street to the main shopping area and appreciated the quieter night life when trying to sleep. The rooms were a bit small but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The free wi-fi was also great, The only problem we had was that the room was very warm the first night. We lowered the temperature as far as it would go but the air conditioning never turned on. Since it was early fall, it was horrible but it wasn't very comfortable either. The second night seemed better though. All in all, a great room in a great area at a good price. I would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Nagoya.

Great location with easy access to transportation.”

Location, Convenient store, Airport transfer

Have stayed in this hotel from 27th July to 1 August 2014. Upon check in, staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was okay but when one extra bed was put in a twin room, we hardly have space to walk around especially with our 3 big luggage. However, the main concern was the centralised aircon was not good enough for the summer stay. When complain to the reception staff, the lady followed to the room and asked us to feel the weak "cool" air coming out from the aircon compartment. After informing a few times that that "cool" air was not good enough, the lady offered us a fan instead. Really feel disappointed in this. Otherwise, the location was good. It is in Sakae area, near to the MRT exit 12. As my mother could not go down the stairs to the MRT station, we were walking towards OASIS 21 directions to catch the MRT train. OASIS 21 has proper lift and escalator, great for elderly person. Convenient stores: Lawson, 7-11, family mart were just nearby. Easy to buy drinking water and normal daily staff. Airport transfer bus is just next to Tokyu hotel, a hotel next to best western nagoya hotel. This costs 1000 yen per pax for the transfer to Nagoya International airport.

An All-around Excellent Hotel”

Location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, reasonably-priced

Out trip to Nagoya was perfect! Thanks to superb accommodations at reasonable price from Best Western Nagoya. It's around 5 minutes walk to/from the station. It also has a Starbucks branch on the ground floor. Room was bigger than expected considering Japanese standards.

Near shopping center-Nagoya Tower, 7/11, cheap price

Receptions are very supportive. I booked the superior room with Agoda and 2 semi-double rooms with another agency. The receptions upgraded 2 semi-double rooms to be 2 standard rooms. I recommend this hotel. Walk from Sakae station around 5 minutes from exit 12. Walk to Nagoya Tower from the hotel around 10 minutes. You can leave your luggages at the hotel.

Convenient Location”

Very convenient location near Sakae Station and within a block or two of many restaurants and convenience stores (Family Mart and 7-11) and Central Park. It's and easy 10-15 minute walk to Nagoya Castle. There's a Starbucks below the hotel easily reached from your room via the elevator. The room was large by Japan standards with a couch that converted to a bed. The bathroom was well stocked with many amenities and then some. I would definitely stay here again.

cheap, good location, friendly staffs

Good points : A little more spacious than other normal business hotels in Japan. Cheap, really close to Sakae station and easy to reach every tourist points in the city. Staffs in the front were very friendly and nice. Starbucks on the first floor. Others : Most part of breakfast is served as Japanese style, so tourists from western countries may find it difficult to have in the morning. A little too old building and room facilities - but ok for the price. The shower curtain stinks bad.

Convient Location and nice hotel”

Location

We stayed in Best Western Hotel Nagoya on 14/12/2012. The location is very convenient, just a couple of subway stations away from JR Nagoya Station. Easy to find. There is a Starbucks Coffee downstairs of the Hotel which comes quite handy for a morning boost. The Hotel is currently undergoing renovation so the floor was covered during day time. Hotel room is a little as compared to hotels in Kyoto and it had a bit of smoke smell. Other than that, a nice stay.

Nice hotel in a central location ”

Spacious room and bathroom (for japanese standards). Helpful staff.

Me and my wife spent 5 nights in this hotel. Compared to other places we have been in Japan, this was very nice for the price-range. Spacious room and bathroom, quiet at night. Central location next to Sakae subway station, in a quarter that is both lively and packed with restaurants of all kinds. They could still improve on the breakfast for those of us that have not yet gotten used to have miso soup and noodles early in the morning. Altogether a very enjoyable experience.

Good Location, value the dollar but old bed”

Good Location, 1 min walk from Airport Express Bus Stop, Hassle free with luggages

The hotel is located near Sakae Subway Station, it takes 7 to 10 mins. walk from Exit No.12. But taking Airport Bus going forward and backward to the hotel is the best option coz. the hotel is at the left hand side corner of the Bus Station, it only takes 1 min. walk. The hotel itself is good as a whole, but the beds are old, the spring lost support and the toilet is smelly but the water pressure is good; there is no wi-fi access, the goose hair blanket is too hot for the pre-set Air Conditioning room; it will be better if the hotel can provide one light blanket as an option; other than that the rest are fine. The size of a deluxe twin room is reasonable and the size of the bed is 4 ft, it should fit an adult and a small kid and. For the money that we paid basically can't complain much. Not the best hotel rooms but it's acceptable. Relatively clean, and has everything you need. Good location. Just 10min walk to Sakae station, and you can choose to walk to other nearby stations depending on where you go. Many restaurants, cafe, and convenient store just downstairs. You can easily take the Centrair Limousine to and from airport.

Average hotel, price OK after Agoda's discount”

Good location, early check-in made possible by staff, small room.

Very clean hotel located at the heart of Sakae, maybe the best neighbourhood for tourist porpouses. Four blocks from the metro station (at the Nagoya's bullet train station line - two stations away). Great set of dining options close to the hotel. The downside was the roomsize: one of the smaller rooms we stayed (we stayed in nine different hotels in Japan during the 25-days trip).

Staff are okay, abit far from Train Station”

Good Breakfast

We were travelling with a family of 4 with 4 big luggage. It is located quite a distance from Sakae Station. The nearest station exit from hotel doesn't have lift. So, we took a lift using the underground shopping mall to ground level and walk to the hotel. There is a Lawson opposite the hotel, and starbucks at the hotel. If you walk towards tokyu hotel direction, there is a famous Maru Unagi Outlet across the street. But, there is only 7 seats in the shop. Staff : Don't expect Japanese standard of service. When the staff saw us carrying up the luggage from the 1st floor to 2nd floor, they didn't direct us to the lift. They simply ignore us. And, during check out, we told the receptionist tt we want to take a taxi to the Nagoya Station, they told us to flag it outside the hotel. However, if you are a Japanese, they will help u. Other than that, it is okay. Breakfast Buffet : It is good compared to other budget hotels. Room : We had 1 deluxe queen and 1 deluxe twin room. The room is quite big considering Japanese standard.
