Fantastic location, large rooms, loads of charm”

A wonderful, older building in a fantastic location. Large rooms, some overlooking the Centro Histórico. Good terrace restaurant too. Bathrooms a little small and dated, and no a/c in rooms, which is fine given Mexico’s City’s mild climate. But if you open the windows to get some fresh air, it is noisy given the location. Even closed, the windows let in a lot of street noise. Only one elevator with a live operator, which was a novelty but could be slow. Friendly and helpful staff.

Wonderful...Better then expected !”

Having read earlier reviews I was expecting an "OK" hotel, but delighted to find it much better! I think there has been work done on the rooms since earlier reviews. I was given the choice of a room with a view or a "quiet" room (which I chose). Large comfortable bed. Big room & bathroom, all newly painted & renovated. In room wifi was good & several none Mexican TV channels was a pleasant surprise. This will definitely be my hotel of choice when next in Mexico City.
