Small but clean and modern. Great value!”
I agree with reviews that others have posted. You do get what you pay for. I booked a double room. And it was just big enough for a double bed. The bathroom was also small but modern and very functional. Nice shower and good water pressure. Coming from north america, I am unaccustomed to how small a hotel room can be. The hotel has two very outstanding features, the location and staff. You are steps away from Makenzie Gardens and minutes from Paddington station. I would get up early and go for a run in the park, and after breakfast go do the tourist thing. So easy to get anywhere from Paddington. The staff is awesome. Without fail, they were courteous, friendly and eager to help in any way. Oh, and the buffet breakfast was very good! Considering the location, and amenities and the overall costs in London, the Best Western Mornington has great bang for your buck!
Maintaining High Standards”
It was a possible defect; one noticed as belonging, in part, to the solution of a client providing an essential service; that necessitated my being booked into the Mornington Hotel, Lancaster Gate, amid the Covid-19 emergency lockdown. Despite the unprecedented situation, I have found employees here to be at all times friendly, informative and courteous. Their positive attitudes and dedication to guests; a number of whom being NHS workers; is evident. From the spotlessly clean reception areas and non-restrictive Wi-Fi, to the Operations Manger who (with no prompting) switched my room, after one, then another key-cards failed to open my door. I can only applaud Best Western for having chosen staff that in the midst off; as mentioned previously; an, ‘unprecedented situation’, would not only continue to maintain the hotel’s standards - but, (to my mind) raise them a notch higher.
Exceptional”
The staff are very friendly and helpful, breakfast is good, location is perfect. I highly recommend this hotel.would recommend BEST WESTERN MORNINGTON HOTEL LONDON HYDE PARK!!
Value for money in London”
I quite enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. Location was brilliant almost right across from Hyde Park and close to transport and shops/cafes. The room was modest in size but typical for the area, but clean and in good condition. The bed was comfortable Unfortunately during this stay the air conditioning console for my room could only be adjusted from the front desk. The internet was also down for most of my 2 night stay, but this was out of the control of the hotel. As a compensation for my inconvenience, the manager kindly offered me a very late check out the next day which I greatly appreciated! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the in room food which I found very tasty and reasonably priced. I would stay here again!
Convenient and clean hotel”
Overall our stay was good. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The room was a little small but it was clean. However, no hot water for shower for one of the mornings during our stay, there was no bar fridge to store our food stuff and the wireless internet wasn't quite stable throughout our stay. Nonetheless, our 6nights at the Mornington was still a good one. Great for couples. Hotel conveniently located near tube and paddington train station and walking distance to Hyde Park. Would recommend this hotel to friends visiting London.
Comfortable place with good location ”
Booked an Economy Double room and put in a special request for twin beds, hoping for an Economy Twin room. The hotel mistook and upgraded me to a Superior Twin room as they didn’t have a room type called Economy Twin. I offered to switch back to the Economy Double but the hotel let me stay in the Superior room anyway. That made my stay extremely pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and clean, came with a phone that we could call local and some international numbers for free. Showers were nice, strong and hot. Hotel was a seven minute walk from Paddington station but one minute walk from Lancaster Gate station. The buses at the station took you to many major tourist areas, and buses are waaaay cheaper than the subway. Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are just opposite Lancaster Gate station. Pretty much a good base to explore London, and very much recommended for those who need to return to the hotel couple of times a day.
Good location, modern feel”
The Best Western Mornington was perfect for our 5 night stay in London. Less than 10 minutes to Marble Arch and Oxford Street by bus, walking distance from Bayswater and Notting Hill, and a stone's throw from Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Rooms were on the small side but they are clean, nicely designed. The best part was probably the bathroom, which was modern and very clean. Finally, the lobby bar is a nice place to have a drink after a day out in London.
excellent little find”
We got a great deal on Agoda, the room was beautiful for a small twin. Huge shower, tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable bed. We paid for a breakfast voucher for £10 and it was a beautiful breakfast, plenty of choice and GF bread on request. The hotel is 1 min from Hyde park and a stunning walk, 1 min from Lancaster Gate Tube station and bus stops at the front on Bayswater Road. This is a small boutique hotel. The reception and bar were immaculate. Staff very welcoming and best of all the hotel was quiet !!

Clean and decent hotel with good staff and location”
Mornington Hotel is running in an traditional English old building, locating at the Baywater area which is also fully of beautiful old houses. Since I am very interested in heritage and cultural stuff I really enjoy accessing this hotel and area nearby. Traffic is easy as it is just 3 minutes walk to Lancaster Gate underground station, and 8 minutes walk to Paddington underground and National Railway station. There is also Route 94 and 148 buses on the main road nearby the hotel, which directly brought me to the landmark area of Westminster, and shopping area along Oxford Street, without the need of climbing up and down of the underground stations. Buffet breakfast provided various hot food choices of English breakfast content (break, egg, sausage, fruit, yogurt, juice, ham, smoked salmon, cheese, etc), good enough for bringing me a full and warm morning. Francesca at front desk provided me good room re-arrangement and nice suggestion of commutation and restaurants too!
A good option for Hyde Park”
London hotels are expensive and poor value for money in general. The Mornington hotel is therefore a good option. Solid room, good breakfast and a convenient location for travellers in the Hyde Park/Paddington area.
Traveled with another couple and my sister. Stayed for 3 nights and we all thoroughly enjoyed our st”
We (4 persons) stayed at the Best Western Mornington and could not have been more pleased. Manager, staff all were so very kind and pleasant. We want to thank each and every staff person for making our stay such a wonderful experience. Beds, breakfasts and genuine kindness was exemplary.
Good location and clean new rooms”
Small rooms - but regular as London rooms go. Hotel was recently upgraded so the rooms were nice, new and modern. I like that the upgraded look meant no dirty old carpets - wood flooring - and very modern bathroom. Location is right next to Hyde Park - close to Paddington and many tube stations.
Great location with pleasant and helpful staff”
Lovely hotel with nice and modern decor.Very good location, within walking distance to Oxford Street which is what my teenage children wanted.Short walk to Lancaster Gate tube station and Malaysia Hall which is very convenient for Malaysians especially when it comes to having Malysian food.Opposite Hyde Park so close to many attractions. Will definitely stay here again.
Good value”
Very good hotel for value. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable which I think is not that common since most hotels in London are a bit old. Location at Hyde Park, while not most central, is still quite good and walking distance to the central line or Paddington. Overall, very good experience and highly recommended.
Good service, great location, very small room”
Locate very near to LAncaster gate station. Also near to Hyde Park. The room was very small, I stay in suite room but still the room, was so small, but all funiesh were placed very well. If you are couple seeking for travel in london, not really spending time in hotel. This is your choice.
23Jul to 27 Jul 2016”
Easy to find using the Google map. The hotel is cosy and the staff are well informed and the place is great. We are surprised when we returned to our room to find swan made from the towel placed in our bed. It was lovely. The breadfast provided were great. The staffs were friendly and professional. They went extra mile in providing the information on how to get to the airport; time, price and ways. Will definitely go back to this hotel if we go to London again. Good job!😊

Highly recommend this hotel”
We were very happy to stay overnight in this hotel. The room was clean, stuff very friendly and location is fantastic as it's literally 5 mins from Hyde Park. We will definitely choose this hotel again in the future .
Excellent stay”
Quiet clean room on the top floor, just what I needed for this trip. Stuff is friendly, they are open to accept packages if you order something online. I imagine this is amazing in Spring, when you just exit the hotel and are 1min away from Hyde Park. Really pleased and will return again.

Goof Hotel with convenient location”
Best Western Mornington Hotel is convenient, and services is good for the price
Great location, small rooms but I will be back!”
i had read comments about the hotel before booking it so i was aware the rooms could be on the small side. for this reason i had booked a double room for single occupancy so it worked fine ... not sure how it would have felt with two grown-ups sharing. the room was situated towards the back so really not noisy at all but then again, i always sleep with ear plugs! within a 10 minute walking distance to paddington and the heathrow express, 5 minutes to the tube stop lancaster gate. does it get any better? and i liked the way the hotel is decorated, made me feel right at home as did the tea making facility in the room. breakfast was not incl in the price so i skipped that. two negatives: the room next to me had a very squeeky door. am constantly amazed that room maid wouldn't notice this kind of thing but no biggie, i reported it for which i got thanked. the shower head holder looks good but is entirely useless as it can not be tilted so the water sprays straight at you. rather than douse the whole bathroom, i ended up holding the shower head, defeating the purpose of the point, i.e. to have two free hands.
