Great location & well furnished hotel”
Lots of nice restaurants around the area. Over all, the hotel are pretty good, location, area, room size & service, direct buses from airport and bus stop are very close to the hotel, the public transport are pretty good & easy to takes you to anywhere in Hong Kong, There are one of the oldest public transport “ Ding Ding” right down the hotel, recommend to have a ride, its slow but very cheap and no traffic jam as they are on the only rails, you might enjoy to take a ride to view the busy lifestyle in Hong Kong. If you like some relaxing activity, Stanley Bay, beaches are located in Hong Kong Island or there are lots of pubs and disco at “ Land Gwai Fong” The price rate is value for money, will recommend to friends and relatives.
Hong Kong Ramada”
The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times, and communicating our needs in English was no problem. The hotel is well located and well priced for a family of 5, just around the corner is a landromat which we used heavily and it was cheap. There was also a 7/11 so we could stock up on drinking water and other things a family needs cheaply and effectively. The area around the hotel is interesting, but you don't want to spend your stay there - just jump on one of the trams that run straight by the hotel and for $2 Hong Kong you get a ride into the centre - easy, no way to get lost; pay as you get off the tram using a coin - each person needs one, child travels for $1 HK. The breakfast was good, plenty of fresh fruit and western style food so we could fill up childrens’ tummies with comfort food that they were familiar with before heading out to immerse ourselves in the interesting cultural experiences that Hong Kong offers. only real problem was the non-smoking floors, previous guest had ignored this and our room stank for days. The reception staff knew this and delayed our check-in, it would have been much better to have given us other rooms.
For Hong Kong the Ramada is a all around excellent Hotel. Easy access from the airport by citybus! We enjoyed the room having marble and extensive storage room and the room itself was suffiently large! Not to difficult to get around to Hong Kong Island via bus and its location! Last but not least the price was excellent probably can not be beat in Hong Kong for all of it emminities and price in Hong Kong overall! Definitely would stay again and highly recommended!
Our Hong Kong 3 day visit”
I liked the hotel very much. The staff, facilities, and the food was great. The location is also very good since it is so close to most of the touring places around Hong Kong. The hotel also has a tour desk where you can book tours around the islands. I think this is one of the best hotels on the Hong Kong Island, and for the price it is a must place to stay. I would reccommend this place for everyone from budget minded to the big spenders. I will stay there again next time I go.
Short Stay in Ramada Hong Kong”
The hotel is one of the better ones that we had stay in Hong Kong. It is : 1) To get to the hotel from the airport is so convenient. By taking the public bus, it takes us almost to the doorsteps of the hotel. 2) Local food is all around. It is so convenient to have a taste of Hong Kong by stepping out of the hotel. 3) Public transport to other parts of Hong Kong is so convenient and cheap. Just step out of the hotel, there are tram and bus rides into the city centre. For those who need a rest and taste local Hong Kong fare, we strongly recommend Ramada Hong Kong Hotel.
Very nice Hotel”
the hotel is a fair way from the main area of hong kong island. but this is not a negative point. it did mean that at night it was fairly quiet as hong kong does not appear to sleep. it is conveniently located for the trams that take you to the main areas for just hkd. they are frequent and run into the early hours, probably all night, but didn't put it to the test. also nearby there are plenty of local places to eat. we tried several and the prices were reasonable and the food of good quality. the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. often opening doors for you and calling the lift as you entered the lobby. the rooms were clean and of good size. we were upgraded to a junior suite and that had everything we needed and had adequate storage. we would difinately use the hotel again
Great value for the money!”
I read many great things about this hotel and it didn't disappoint. The place was on Hong Kong Island and we got a harbor-view room (partial view since our view was obstructed a bit by two buildings and another under construction) with a separate living room and big bathroom. Another great thing is was the tram stopping right in front (we took the tram by choice and my wife loved it). No MTR within walking distance but plenty of buses and the tram to take, not to mention taxis. The supposedly double bed was two twins put together and we should've complained but overall, at the rate we paid, we got a sweet deal. We plan on staying here again the next time we are in Hong Kong. A big thumbs up!
Convenient & quiet”
We arrived Hong Kong in the afternoon and took the Cityflyer bus A10 to get to this hotel - the stop (second stop after getting into the city) was just across from it. Staff were helpful and even lend us power bars and universal AC adapters for our devices. We overlooked the fact that we had to request a non-smoking room at the time of booking. Hence, we could smell smoke odor creeping into our room from time to time. Otherwise, the room was clean and cozy. We were surprised to find that the washroom was quite big and it has a separate corner with a mirror, counter, and chair for making up! It’s 5 mins away from MTR Sai Ying Pun station B3 exit, convenient stores, the market (if you are craving some fresh Asian fruits and bakeries), and Hong Kong style café (Cha Chaan Tang). Overall, a pleasant stay!
I thought the Ramada was really good value for money. The location is not quite central for Hong Kong Island (it is over to the west) however the tram stop is literally in front of the hotel and and there are two MTR train stations not too far away. On the upside the location is less crowded and more atmospheric than the downtown area. The hotel is impeccably clean and the staff are friendly. Rooms are not too small either. Includes free WiFi and there is a safe in the room.
worth for money”
Since the MTR has been extended to the university and Kennedy town, it became even more convenient. The hotel is a good access from the airport by Cityflyer A12 (HK$45; return can be either by A10 or A12, at HK$40) as the bus stop is just across the hotel, both ways. Since the newer hotels are quite small in size for each room, the spaciousness is really valuable at the hotel's offer price. There are many local food restaurants around and the area of lots of western style cuisine is within walking distance, the hotel is highly recommended for frequent visitors to Hong Kong.
Convenient, affordable hotel with spacious rooms”
We often travel to Hong Kong for business and choose to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Sai Ying Pun. The rooms are very spacious with a lot of storage space. And it is quite convenient for transport with the trolley stop right outside the hotel, as well as a lot of buses, plus the Sai Ying Pun MTR stop nearby. My main complaint is that the beds are quite hard, and the shower unit is small. But still we find that this hotel offers a lot of conveniences for the price. We will stay there again on our next trip to HK.
Much like in America”
I started my stay in Hong Kong at this hotel. I wasn't dissatisfied with this place-but, there are nicer places for the money. Nontheless, this place had everything a person could need. I had a large amount of laundry piling up and was relieved to find a place just steps away that did it reasonably and got it the next morning before going to Disney. You can get Disney tickets from the tour lady. Also, got a bite to eat at one of the food places. I had chicken fried rice for about 4 USD. Hong Kong was surprisingly inexpensive as compared to Japan and Korea. The hotel was kind enough to keep my bags until later in the afternoon when I went to Macau.
Excellent hotel in excellent location”
Excellent customer service, clean rooms and great location. Lots of eateries around, bus services near the hotel are so convenient! I've stayed with Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong for more than 4x and I am coming back again!
Great location and local facilities”
We needed a last-minute booking and were looking for a reasonably priced hotel on Hong Kong island. We selected Ramada based on price and proximity to Central. We had a small suite, with a great view of HK harbour. The location is superb with very easy transport into Central by courtesy bus, taxi (5 mins) or tram (10 mins - the tram stops right outside the hotel.) For those travelling with kids, the area around the hotel has some good shops, including a 7-11,useful for stocking up on water, milk, snacks etc. Also, within 50 metres of the hotel a couple of laundrys offering service washes for a fraction of the price of hotel services...great if you are travelling with two messy young kids! We paid between 25-50 HKD for a whole bag of washing. (The hotels usually charge around that per item.) The room was clean, though small for a suite, and despite the fact that we clearly stated we were travelling with very young children, they gave us a smoking room with a shower and no bath(difficult for bathing our 5 month old!)However, that could have been due to our late reservation. The hotel reception and concierge staff were pleasant, though not overly effusive! Overall, I would say that if you are looking for a no-frills hotel, clean, inexpensive and in a great location, then the Ramada is an excellent choice. We would definitely stay there again.
We had a very nice stay at Best Western Plus hotel in Hong Kong. Staff was very attentive and did their best to meet our expectations. The hotel's location is close to tram and subway. With the octopus card you can easily use public transportation. I recommend this hotel to anyone.
I stay here a lot, and have done so for some years. I like the staff, as they are always helpful. The tram outside is very convenient and just enjoyable to take, trundling along the north shore of the island. You can see a lot of different people. The rooms are always clean, and the service for maintaining the rooms is efficient and timely. Now that they have internet, the hotel satisfies all requirements for someone traveling and wanting to see Hong Kong Island.
Good hotel with a helpful staff”
I was a bit unsure when I booked this hotel as some of the reviews I read weren't very pleasing. This was also my first time to Hong Kong and I had no idea what the hotels there were like, most reviews said the rooms were too small or the location was shady. We have a Ramada in Mumbai and its a pretty posh hotel so I thought to myself that it couldn't be bad, worth a chance, after all its advertised as a 4-star hotel. Let me tell you I wasn't disappointed at all. The room was very clean and had everything I needed, not to mention the free Wi-fi which was a life saver as I was working part-time out of the hotel. The concierge at the hotel especially was extremely helpful and knew his way around Hong Kong. Since it was my first time there, I really needed directions and suggestions of what to see and how to reach there. Google Maps is your friend and will give you accurate directions but the concierge will give you better suggestions. The hotel has two 7-Eleven's within a walking distance of 30 seconds. They are open 24x7 and sell most essentials which you might find useful especially if you are a nocturnal person like myself. There's a tram stop right outside the hotel which will take you to the nearest MTR station (Shueng Wan) or even further based on where you are trying to go, MTR is usually the fastest way to get anywhere. There is also a bus stop right across the street where you can get buses that go everywhere be it the airport or anywhere else in the city, be sure to ask the concierge which one to catch. The reception staff for some reason doesn't know how to smile but this is how the people there are in general so I don't blame them but I did mention in my feedback form that they need to :) more. Overall, my experience at the hotel was great. I was able to finish my business activities within the first 2 days of my stay and then see some tourist attractions in the next 3 days. I am very likely to return to this hotel.
Continued great stay”
I've stayed there many times and continue to choose it whenever I go to Hong Kong for business because it is not near anything loud. It's a very professional hotel. Wireless internet available, though at a cost (70HKD for 12 hours and 135HKD for 24 hours...both continuous use). There's a nice-looking Chinese restaurant in the hotel w/ dim sum available. Not a lot of other restaurants or any attrations nearby. But again, near MTR by light rail (5min to MTR). Get an octopus card from the MTR station (put down 50HKD, which is refundable) so you can travel by MTR/bus/light rail w/o having to look for change. Recommend this hotel to anyone. No reward points w/ hotel unless you book w/ them though, but their booking price is more expensive always than Agoda's.
Good Service. Convenience. Price is worthwile”
This is my first time I stayed at this hotel and I like this hotel because it is very convenience to take a mini bus to Central, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay within 35 minutes. The hotel has shuttle service every hour. The public airport buses station is very near to the hotel just at the opposite side of the street, it only takes 35 to 40 minutes to Hong Kong International Airport. The hotel is very new and the service is wonderful. I lived in 25th floor, the room was very clean and nice and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed staying three nights there in a huge room. If I plan to go back Hong Kong next time, I definitely will choose this hotel again.
Convenient location with good value for money.”
The Hotel provided me with an excellent and restful stay after a whole day of travelling within Hong Kong. I love the accesibility to the tram which costs only two dollars plus the proximity of the bus stops most notably the A10 and A12 airport routes which eliminates the need to go to Central and walk a long way to ride the Airport Express. Really big savings that translates to more budget for shopping in HK. They even offer a shuttle to Central. Rooms are big and just right for a group of four.
