Good location, good value.”
I stayed overnight before an interview. The room was exceptional for the price and the location is very handy to all the Sydney CBD has to offer. I will stay again. If you need to be in the vicinity of Hyde Park, Surrey Hills, Central, the Court Precinct or similar - this is a handy spot and a good hotel.

It’s a great hotel. The room is spacious and quiet. The hotel is located near the Museum station. If you just walk around for 10 minutes, you can already go to Chinatown, Townhall, and other famous and popular places in Sydney. This hotel is a must-go for sure!

Fantastic for families or 2 couples”
We were very impressed with the 2 Bedroom Apartment. So great to have a central kitchen and loung area and then our separate bedrooms. We travelled with our two 20+ daughters and they appreciated having their own space and bathroom! Breakfast was fantastic value for money and great coffee. Good location too.

Close to Museum Station (airport line) and stop for various buses. Central Station, light rail stops are also relatively close. You can also walk to various major tourist spots in the CBD area if you wanted to. There are also quite a few good breakfast places nearby. I booked a queen room for myself and it was really big. Elevator may take a moment since there's only one.

Lacking l some basic necessities”
While the reception staff are lovely, the bed is clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect... They really disappointed on some basic necessities and it really gave the impression that your business with them is not valued highly. Firstly, the room smelt very musty. Like very very musty. I had to open the very difficult to use Windows to get fresh air in. These Windows open inward (like a door) but nothing is there stopping them from just closing again on their own? I ended up having to use the pillows off the bed as a wedge to keep them open. Of course, like most windows, that meant the pillows were covered in dust and dirt. Now one would wonder why I didn't just call reception? well that's because it was 11 at night and the telephone in my room didn't actually work. By that point I had gauged the situation and succumbed to the reality of what little effort or care they put into guests. No I wasn't piss*d off that bad to be honest... Until I went to make a cup of tea. The tea box had no sugar in it, 1 stale biscuit and 1 tea bag. I was a little bit shocked to be honest... and I don't expect a lot from the free tea and coffee that comes with a room. But this is next level crap. I boiled the kettle and steep the only tea bag. Then I get the long life milk cups that are commonplace in the door of a hotel fridge out. I remove the foil lid off the little cup and surprise, surprise. Somehow this milk had been sitting in the fridge for so long that the Long Life milk which, has a very long life, was completely off and now looks more like miniature yoghurt cups. And the smell had me dry retching instantly.

Everything you need in a great location”
It took me a while, browsing through tripadvisor & agoda reviews before settling with hotel stellar. I'm a solo traveler & there were a couple of concerns : location, convenience, & affordability. Location & Convenience : Hotel Stellar is located on Wentworth Ave, in between the city, where you can satisfy all your shopping needs & Oxford road, a vibrant cultural stretch where you can find lots of great eateries & cafes & hippie stores. It is also a relatively short walk to circular quay, where you can visit the museums, the Sydney harbor bridge, and the famous Sydney Opera House. It's a 25 mins walk, and along the way there's lot of other shopping & sight seeing to be done as well. The hotel is also located close to the Museum train station, which is sitting on the Airport & East Hills Line. It's a convenient 15 mins ride to the airport if you prefer to spend A$16 over A$40+ on a taxi ride which may take longer due to the traffic. Rooms & Service : Like most hotels, check in time is at 2pm, but the reception took my request & managed to get me my room before 1.30. Receptionist are all men, but they did make an effort to serve you well. The first impression of the room, is that it's really really clean, no funky smells, and very welcoming. I wouldn't say it fit the 4-5 star category, but it definitely have that serviced apartment feel to it. The bathrooms are also pretty spotless, can't really find any grime or molds on the bathroom walls. The bedroom comes with an attached Kitchenette, which is very well equipped with all the culinary, plates you can think of. Comes with a proper thermal boiler & a microwave oven. What you see from the hotel photos is very much what you get. Fuss-free and gimmick-free. As compared to the rest of the hotels (along with reviews), Hotel Stellar is one of the more affordable hotels in Sydney, bundled with a great location, simple but quality rooms for the comfort you need. I will definitely use this hotel aga

Overnight stay before international flight”
I had a pleasant stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Stellar. It was a quiet, clean, boutique hotel for a reasonable amount of money. When the hotel staff discovered that I was travelling alone, I was upgraded to a room with a king-size bed. Fast, free wireless Internet was a great addition to a great price. My only reason for being in Sydney for one night was to catch an international flight the next day. It was fairly easy to catch a shuttle to the hotel and even easier to get back to the airport. The hotel arranged the pick-up for me the next morning and the shuttle was right on time. I would stay at this hotel again.

Exceptional”
My husband and I stayed for 8 nights at this hotel. We were extremely delighted with the following: (1) The room (or rather apartment) is huge, almost two times the area of other hotel rooms of equivalent rate, and is well maintained. (2) The kitchenette is most useful for heating up packed meals or for cooking simple meals in the microwave. Washing up in the kitchen sink and not in the bathroom is a plus point. (3) The bathroom is enormous and it is the first time that we noted the door to the shower can be closed tightly without water dripping out all over the rest of the bathroom; this had been a bone of contention! (4) Water pressure is strong and hot water abundant. (5) Easily accessible by train from the Museum station, 3 min away, and by buses on Oxford Street and Liverpool Street. These provide transport options from the Sydney Opera House even late at night after the shows. (6) We were lucky to have a room with a view (in the CBD) of Hyde Park and the junction of Oxford and Liverpool streets. We will certainly return to this hotel in our next trip to Sydney!.

Australia and Stellar were GREAT!”
We greatly enjoyed Sydney and the area, alot due to Stellar. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff kept them that way. We had two rooms to allow each couple some space, but easy to get together. The location was great, right at the edge of Hyde Park, easy walking to sights and close to hop on hop off bus service. We had a car for three days for day trips, parking was tight, but we handled it. Used the kitchenettes in the AM for coffee and in the evening for a sandwich. Grocery was close by, it was much easier than trying to get everyone going again after sightseeing all day. Would suggest booking the room for the night before your arrival if you are taking a red eye from the States or where ever, it made our first day a great deal easier. If you do it within the package it's less expensive also. My hats off to Stellar for a job well done!
