Awesome stay at Hotel Europa”
This property is located on Rue Drummond, just a few steps away from Rue Rene Levesque and St. Catherine so the location is excellent! The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous and so things started out great. Then, when we walked into the room (429), the room was big with a queen bed and a pullout sofa queen bed. There still was plenty of room to move around. The bathroom was modern and classic at the same time and was spotless! So well kept. Even if we were in the heart of downtown, I could hardly hear any noise. Montreal is a beautiful city and this hotel was for us the perfect place to call as our home base.
Special Weekend”
We found the location to all the nightlife and downtown core shopping to be excellent. Where it was our first trip to Montreal the staff was more than willing to pin point places of interest we might visit. They directed us to some good nightlife that was in close proximity which we enjoyed very much. The room was very clean and the staff was very accommodating when we were in and out of the room. Two thumbs up to everyone. Great job! I would not hesitate to go back there!
Great location with nice staff”
Located right in the center of downtown Montreal. Shopping is right besides the hotel with lots of restaurants around. The rooms are big and new. It might be a bit noisy at night as there are people playing music or talking loudly around the corner of the street.
Perfect location”
I enjoyed a lot my stay. I was a very nice hotel which is exactly located in downtown Montreal. Room prices are reasonable. It is surrounded by tons of nice restaurants and you will never feel remote. However, room cleaning services were a bit pushy. They tried to get into my room even I didn’t signify I need room cleaning at the door.

helpful staff”
I would highly recommend this hotel to single travellers and couples who come to montreal for business or pleasure. Location could not be any better, right in downtown, where a lot of offices are located as well shopping malls, restaurants, etc...
nice, clean hotel with great location”
We stayed two nights at this facility. The room was clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful. On premises restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The downtown location was excellent. Would return again.
Great Stay”
The europa is a great hotel in a very good part of town. The 1 bedromm suite on the sixth floor is excellent, with it's own kitchen area and a shower that could take 3 people. I did not use the restaurant but other people said it was very good. The reception area is very large and has a water fountain that is very impressive. The only two drawbacks i found was the reception internet was not working as you cannot access your e-mails,I was told they would get someone to look at it but never did. The second drawback was the bar was not open and when i asked i was told they were applying for new licence but on check out i was told the bar had been shut for one year,if this is the case they should put this on their website. But overall a very good hotel.
Amazing. Great city to visit for 4-5 days.”
This is the second time we stayed at Best Western and were around for the Grand prix. The hotel is centrally located and close to night life, major attractions. Great area for shopping and close to train station. Would strongly recommend staying here if you are visiting for 3-4 days, cause it is clsoe to everything.
A reasonable hotel located in the heart of Downtown Montreal. ”
We were 2 couples with 1 baby. We ordered 2 rooms for 1 night. One of the rooms had a strong lingering odour where they had cleaned up after a previous guest, but the staff immediately changed our room without any fuss, and both rooms although fairly small were clean and comfortable . Staff were lovely to deal with and our stay was pleasant. The hotel is aging, but considering its location, and the price we paid, it still represents good value. If you're looking for a larger and more updated room, I would suggest you look at Best Western Premium properties as the one we stayed in at Quebec was great. Having said that, if you just need a centrally located room for a sightseeing or shopping base, this will do nicely.
Just OK”
We stayed for one night at the Best Western Europa , it was just OK. $ 40 parking fee in a empty lot out back. The building was very old and rooms were just ok I have stayed in much nicer hotels in Montreal and probably would choose one of those next time.
Nice location”
Stayed for 5 nights at the hotel. Location is perfect, downtown, easy to access the metro (both green line and orange line), easy to access the airport by 747 express bus. The room is clean and nice staffs. Many restaurant nearby.
Not bad”
A little dated. Shower took forever to get hot water. Bed was comfortable. Great downtown location. Parking next door was $30
Convenient to downtown Montreal with a small room”
Although clean the room was small; in general, the entire hotel could use a refurbishing; it just seems tired. However, it's right off Ste Catherine's, and the downtown location makes up for a lot.
Comfortable and convenient”
The hotel was located downtown so it was close to everything. There were many restaurants and places for shopping nearby. Accessing public transportation was also easy. Rooom was big and clean.
Good value hotel in the city”
We were happy with this hotel for the price. Nothing fancy, but yet comfortable. Staff very helpful. Restaurants and shopping nearby. Only issue is serious construction opposite, that disrupted street and footpath. But taxis still readily available.
Great location and clean room”
This hotel is in a great location right next to St Catherine street. The Bixie bikes were right outside the hotel. The rooms were a nice size and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Great location & price!”
Hotel was situated centrally with immediate access to public transport. Excellent value for money. Staff was accommodating. Rooms are dated and facilities were basic. Cleanliness was acceptable but could be improved. Overall a great, hassle-free stay.
satisfied”
good location, good price, comfy room; free early check-in if you're a member; free luggage storage after we check-out; room floor was a bit dusty; missed a couple toiletries on the last day of our stay; overall, very good price at a convenient location.
Good downtown location ”
Steps from St Catherine’s main shopping area. A few minutes from two subway stations that took us to all the major attractions. Hotel is clean, quite well furnished and staff is helpful. An attached restaurant proves to be very convenient although there are many other places to choose from nearby. Parking is available nearby for a fee.
