The best hotel my partner and I had in Palawan.”
My partner and I traveled from Manila to Coron to El Nido to Puerto Princesa, which we means we stayed at three different hotels while in Palawan. The first two hotels we stayed at weren't terrible but I can confidently say that the Best Western Ivywall in Puerto Princesa was definitely BEST hotel we stayed at in Palawan. The staff were incredibly friendly, willing to fix any error that happened during our stay (we had a few, but nothing that would bring down their score) and always with a smiling face. My partner and I enjoyed their scrumptious breakfast buffet (that had different items each time) and on our last night, we went to the Balayong restaurant, which they had given a 600 PHP voucher for. It was quite empty but the entertainment was very enjoyable - both the dancers and the live band. The food was good but small portions for quite a high price for the Philippines. The hotel itself was gorgeous, always air conditioned, smelled good and comfy to just spend the day in. 10/10!

2 night stay in Palawan”
My wife and I stayed two nights at the Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel. Upon arriving at the airport, we caught the shuttle to the hotel. We were greeted by the staff who were very friendly and professional. We entered our room and were surprised how spacious it was. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very good and the type of food changed every morning. The whole staff and even the security guards are very friendly to help you with any question you may have. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Puerto Princesa. One last thing, if you want a city tour ask the security guard for "Manong Boy", he was a great tricycle driver and the city tour should cost you 700 pesos for the whole tour.

Very warm hotel to spent ur holidays ”
We spent 6 night in Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel, the staff are warm and welcoming. It is located at the heart of Puerto Princessa. Less than 15mins from the airport (the hotel provides shuttle that picks up and off drop off guests at the airport), 15mins walk to SM mall, less 30mins to Robinson mall on tricycle and loads of other bars and restaurnts around if you feel bored. We spent evening at the Balayong Grill & Bar which is the hotel's bar which live music and my girlfirend and I will cherish the memory we had in Best Western Plus The Ivywall Hotel. On a very hot afternoon, we swim at outdoor swimming pool and we had the best cocktail (Blue Hawaiian, try it ;)). During breakfast is a very nice time to catch up with other guests from all over the world, with positives vibes that filled the dining hall. And it's amazing that the hotel manager serves and make sure guests are ok and comfortable. We really enjoyed the tour we booked through the hotel. We ll comeback again

Tourists kept checking in”
It's no wonder why tourists were all trying to secure a room daily--the Best Western easily trumps other options in the heart of Puerto Princesa. While older and bigger resort accommodations offer beach-side views and plenty of activities, the IvyWall is in a league of its own whether you're a leisure-seeker or a business traveler. The hotel is literally just a few minutes away from the city's top restaurants. The airport is a five-minute drive. Trike options wait for you outside and tour services are available with third-party travel agencies partnering with the hotel. There are caveats though like a small pool and a limited menu. The breakfast buffet is superb and we heard it's the best in the area. It's one of the newest hotels so expect that you may have to remind the front desk of a few things. They got confused with our tour schedules but they were quickly fixed in our favor. The security guards area always ready to answer your question regarding tourist spots and restaurants. Overall the hotel offers great value for everyone.

Absolutely Wonderful Hotel ”
I got our rooms during a flash sale here in Agoda. I was able to book 2 rooms instead of 1 because the price was so low. When I looked at the regular rates in the hotel, I was shocked. I got almost 75% off. They offered complementary transfers from the airport. I loved the VIP treatment upon landing in Puerto Princesa. The driver (Robert) immediately gave us tips on how to get around. The airport is just about 5 minutes drive from the hotel. It's in a central area and is near restaurants, banks, convenience stores, etc. I loved the interiors of the hotel. The room was sparkling clean and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast had limited choices but all were very delicious. The staff were extremely pleasant and warm. I love Ivywall! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is going to Puerto Princesa.

Modern and comfortable with friendly atmosphere”
Our first time in Palawan and Puerto Princesa. We were out to see the underground river and decided to stay a day in the capital. The reason why I chose Best Western Ivy Wall was the closeness to the airport, and I learned from a former business colleague that Best Western has very good standard in its hotels. I just grabbed a good price and an upgrade and it's all worth the money I paid. The staff were also very helpful in finding us a taxi when we had to make a visit at my sister's house. Restaurant was very good with enough items in the menu to choose from. All I can say is, my husband and I had an excellent experience at Ivy Wall and giving the hotel my rating of 5/5.

Very pleasent stay”
Staying at this hotel was very pleasent and comfortable. All of the staff were very supportive, friendly and helpful. The breakfust comes in buffet style and provides international and also local foods. All of them were great. Sometimes the food ran out, but just asking the staff for refilling wasn't any problem at all. If you are looking for a better location on Palawan, this hotel might not be the first joice, since it is located in Puerto Princesa, whereas the more popular and well-known spots are around El Nido or Borocay. However, if you want to explore some quiet beaches and country-side around, or just drop by for a night heading to another place on Palawan, the Best Western Hotel will provide you with a very pleasent stay and will be a perfect stay. Also great if you want to just relax at a place, not so crowded by tourist, but with more infrastructure around like restaurans, malls and cinemas.

Exceptional”
I was surprised by the quality of this hotel as I am used to Best Westerns in the US. This hotel is so much better than its US counterparts. The room is clean and well maintained. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast buffet is great- so much better than the breakfast of BWs in the US. I mean it belongs to a category that is well above than what I've experienced in the US and I've been to several of them. There's just no comparison. I was able to get a Deluxw room for less than $55 a night. What a deal. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Puerto Princesa- Filipinos and foreigners alike! It's location is great- close to key places in Puerto and a few breast bars.

Beautiful hotel in a great location”
I went here with my parents and the hotel was a great base for our tours around Puerto Princesa; it's less than 5 minutes away from the airport, the NCCC mall, and some of the best restaurants in the city. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in booking our tours and giving us directions and recommendations on where to eat. The room itself was comfortable and had all the amenities we required. We were also pleasantly surprised by the wide selection at the buffet breakfast. All in all we were very happy with the place (which had beautiful interiors and decorations by the way), especially at the great price we got here in Agoda!

Best Hotel in Puerto Princesa only if...”
We had an overnight stay in this hotel before the day of our flight. It was a newly built hotel and conveniently located in the city of Puerto Princesa. You will be greeted by smiling faces of the staff at the lobby and glad that we were able to check in early as we came all the way from the exhausting journey from El Nido. They will give you a complimentary Pandan or Iced Tea Welcome drink for refreshment which tastes good. The room was quiet, clean, spacious and has a very comfortable bed. Air conditioning in the room works pretty great. The standard room that we got comes with buffet breakfast, complimentary bottled waters and full toiletries. They have nice standard pool and gym at the 3rd floor and business area with computers at the 2nd floor. They also has a complimentary shuttle service, you just have to arrange the schedule with the front desk before the day of your flight. Only one incident though that when me and my husband used the elevator and a female manager is along with us, she never effort to greet us, smile or even a warm nod; instead she just looked at us and pretend we were not there. I know to myself that she is one of the managers, not just because of her uniform but because all of the staff were greeting her and giving her courtesy. I know it was just a plain greeting, but for me, if all of your staff were doing the effort of making your clients feel at home by just simply giving a warm greeting, a smile or a nod, why wouldn't you? I am sorry but I wasn't able to get her name but the next time I'll stay in this hotel and she will still give that same attitude, I might get her full name and her attention.

New, big rooms and clean hotel near the airport”
I recommend this place. I was surprised by the size of our room and the cleanliness of the bathroom. TV and room facilities seemed brand new. Service wise I have no issues. Bed was comfy and the hotel was quite close to the airport. My issue is with the tour operator that they have partnered with, a group called Miroju. We booked a shared van to take us from Palawan to El Nido. The driver was late, and picked so many passengers that it took 1 hr and 30 minutes before we were away from Puerto Princesa proper (sometimes going on random stops where no passenger was ever picked up, and revisiting some resorts for new passengers). There was a random lunch stop which we weren't informed of which took another hour. All in all it took us almost 7 hours to reach El Nido and as a result we missed a connecting ferry which was very annoying. Driver also talks and acts dodgy. I read that it only takes 4.5 to 6 hrs usually. Other than this, I have no issues.

all 5 stars”
I stayed already several times in the hotel and will continue to do so since the quality delivered for that price has no match in Puerto Princesa. Cleanliness, kind and helpful staff, good breakfast, convenient location, nice albeit somewhat swimming pool, everything was flawless, as usual. Sometimes, such as this time, some extra noise can be heard from nearby restaurant(s), but stopped at proper time (around 11pm). The only remark concerns Agoda.com since booking was done on their site, voucher bears Agoda name but when checking in, discovered that booking was done by Booking.com what was not expected and created a moment of confusion.

Highly recommended!”
Staff are very courteous and polite, the hotel is fairly new as it was built only July of this year. Rooms are spacious, the single bed is actually the size of a double bed. We were allowed for a late check out without additional charge even though it was a peak month (December) and the hotel is fully booked. Music played along the hallway. Welcome drinks are offered when we checked in. Buffet breakfast maybe improved as there were limited fruits offered, brewed coffee available upon request. The hotel is very near the airport, it took us less than 5 mins going back to puerto princesa airport. So far, this is highly recommended.

The best hotel you can get in Puerto Princesa”
Nicest driver, very accommodating staffs, everyone as in everyone will greet you whenever you pass through them. Take note that their room rates are not expensive yet they have very high service quality. We arrived at the airport at almost 8 am and the driver is already waiting for us. He already gave us a little bit infos on what we can do and where we can go. At the lobby, they warmly welcomed us with a great smile. Our check in hour is 12:00 nn but since we arrived early, they granted us to check in at 10:00 am for FREE!! Their rooms are very clean, delicious buffets, and nice amenities. On our last day, our check out time should be 12:00, but since we went for a little tour, we got back at the hotel at 2:00 pm but they granted us that extension for FREE! We are very grateful for the experience and making our stay in Puerto Princesa extra special.

Nice New Hotel in PPS Well Worth a Look”
this is a newer hotel (July 2016 open I think) much in the World Class "Luxury" style you might find in Tokyo or Shanghai or San Francisco - But at a Philippines price ! For sure not one of the cheaper hotels in PPS, but not too much more that other "Average" hotel I stayed at in PPS. So for my $$ it was a really good deal (Excellent Value for the money). Location was good for my needs - Right on Rizal about half way between Airport entrance and city center. One word of advice for the Trikes, don't take Trike from "The Line Up" of Trikes waiting outside the Hotel, instead just walk away from the hotel and hail a trike from the street and you will pay much less than directly in front of the Hotel (as much as 1/2 less). The hotel was brand new so very clean. We stayed 4 nights and had a little bit of a problem to get room cleaned first day . . . But I simply talked to our Housekeeper on our floor and arranged a time to clean room and it worked perfect the rest of the trip. The staff was very nice (of Course, this is the Philippines, everyone is very nice !). But front desk was very good to meet all of my requests (like change for a 500 peso note to use for Trike fare). Also, They provided late checkout (by 1 hour) for last day ! The facility is great - Everything is new. We used pool several times and it was great with bar right next to the pool (although drinks were very expensive). Also, gym looked really first class (I did not use). Best of all was Buffet breakfast ! ! Very good quality, everything hot and fresh, really great staff (I had favorite table by window they tried to save for us). They have an egg cooking station and really nice to get a few fresh cooked eggs made fresh while you watch. Will come back again

Would stay here again!”
The hotel is new. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good as well. Good location near the airport. It's a plus that they offer complimentary transfers to the airport. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Puerto Princesa.

Extremely pleased ”
Stayed at Best Western Plus for 4D3N with my mom, my sister and her husband (Sept 18-21). .We booked 2 deluxe rooms and we were all pleased with everything in this hotel -- breakfast was delicious, all the staff were sincerely friendly, very clean rooms with brand new fixtures and appliances, big TV, small but nice gym and pool. On our first day, we booked all our tours through their front desk -- city tour, underground river, honda bay island hopping and enjoyed them all, all hassle free. They even helped us book our dinner at Ka Lui.
