Nicely renovated rooms but still very old facility”
Room quality. Near station. Helpful front desk.
The pictures need to be updated. The renovated rooms were surprisingly good. Blonde lady at front desk was very helpful but bar/cafe staff were not so good. 5min cab ride from the station and plenty of food in walking distance.

Nothing great”
It was clean, good location & the duty manager was nice
The hotel has no parking. When asked for somewhere to park nothing was offered and the question played down (Parking ticket obtained!). There was insufficient staff covering breakfast, which was overcooked and pretty poor. One of our guests had no breakfast as it took far too long to serve. All in all, the hotel is clean and well-presented but i felt that customer service was not high on the agenda. Disappointing.

Okay for insomniacs”
The location was right in the middle of salisbury, the character was good with a lot of history and the staff were pleasant.
Unfortunately the hotel is right opposite a very loud rowdy nightclub which was going till 3am and then girls screaming ext till 4am hence I had a very bad night sleep there. I was grateful to leave.

A very average Hotel for the Price”
The history of the Inn is quite interesting as is the beautiful outside patio, half timbered and hung with vines. It is centrally located and near food, shops, and the Cathedral.
Our stay was okay. The beds were fairly comfortable and the room size was adequate. The shower was miniscule and difficult for some of my family members to use. It was noisy outside our bedroom window as hotel workers were taking their seemingly endless cigarette breaks and speaking loudly. We finally complained and they were removed. Breakfast was a disaster. We were not told that a hot breakfast was available and were instead directed to the cold cereals. We later found that we had all been charged approximately $15 dollars each for cold cereal, toast, and coffee! Two of the front desk people were very helpful and friendly, the rest were cold and aloof.

Nice but noisy”
All the antiques
The hotel is right in the heart of Salisbury. The problem with that is the noise, they even supply ear plugs with the room! The main areas of the hotel are beautiful, the food is very good also. The rooms however leave a lot to be desired. Ours had peeling wallpaper and hard beds. You could feel the bed springs poking into your back at night. They also have old fashioned bedspreads and blankets as opposed to duvets. The whole place need a bit of an upgrade.

Full of character and Charm”
Large Rooms, Good service fabulous building in great location. Great evening meal.
Breakfast buffet not that great and Friday night revellers kept us awake in the courtyard until 1-30 pm. Previous stay had been quiet. Must return for the food ( evening meal excellent) and Charm of an old coaching Inn. No parking available at Hotel which is inconvenient as parking in Salisbury is expensive.

Lovely courtyard for food and drinks.
This is a charming and comfortable period hotel. It is convenient to the Cathedral and downtown. It comes with a good breakfast.

Quiet hotel in City centre”
lovely court yard, good size room, good breakfast
this is a charming old hotel, that is like a rabbits warren as you make your way around the corriders to your room, so i was quite surprised to find that the room was lovely and spacious and the bathroom was also a good size. both rooms were very clean and it was extremely quiet at night despite being in the city centre and opposite some busy pubs. its also quite easy to forget that you are in a city when you are sat in the hotels court yard, i imagine this would be a lovely place to sit in the summertime. breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of choices. the only con of this hotel is the parking. there are two carpaks directly behind the hotel but the max time permitted is 3 hours after which you have to move to another carpark, clearly no good if staying over night or if like me you are attending a wedding and are not able to go back every 3 hours. eventually i found a long stay car park on culver street.
