I stayed at this hotel with my 12-year child. Agoda website said they offered a free stay for children up to twelve years of age. I reserved two stays, with one night between. The website said it was a room with one bed. But when we visited the hotel, they offered a room with two beds for the first stay, a room with three beds for the second, with no extra charge whatever. To add to this pleasant surprise, the spacious rooms were clean, commanding a very nice view of the beautiful volcano Sakurajima. The staffers were kind enough to look up the timetable of buses for me, giving useful instructions on how to get to different sightseeing spots. Though the hotel is not located in central Kagoshima, it is definitely worth the money. Thank you very much for our comfortable stays.

We experienced a nice accommodation in the Rembrandt Hotel Kagoshima, and the room is big enough and comfortable, we would choose this hotel once again if we travel Kagoshima in the future.

Great for families in summer”
My family of four stayed here in august 2021, the main reason was this hotel has a pool. The attendant there was a super friendly older man, who wasn’t ridiculously strict like other attendants in different hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan. There are convenience stores across the street from the hotel, and a bento shop; plus a yakitori restaurant but that’s all for dinning. If you have a car, it’s only 10 minutes to lots of options.

Views to die for at a great price Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Only downside is the distance from the train station, we took a taxi and paid about 1500 yen However once we worked out the local bus system, we had no further transport issues. Would definitely use this hotel as a base if we ever go back to Kagoshima 10/10

Very big room with the balcony to look out at the volcano view . Nothing to complain about it. The facilities is good. There’s 7/11 opposite the hotel. Parking is available for 1,100yen

We opted for a view of Sakurajima and a queen size bed (something we rarely get in Japan). The breakfast had a good variety and the staff were helpful. We will definitely consider this hotel if we are in Kagoshima again.

Quiet location with excellent view of sakurajima”
Slightly far from the city and is convenient only if you drive. Excellent view of sakurajima from the hotel room and two convenience store located just outside of the hotel. The parking is a flat rate chargeable per night, but unlimited entry. Drive abit more and you will reach shopping malls with plenty of eateries.

Good value for money considering the large size room with balcony facing the Sakurajima volcano. Parking was also fairly priced at 800 yen per night.

If you are driving a car, I highly recommend you to stay at Art hotel, the view is amazing and there is a balcony for you to take a photo when there is a volcano eruption. Also, the staff are very friendly as well as a high quality food for breakfast. Unfortunately it is a little bit too far from train station and city centre, I would be great if the hotel could arrange some shuttle bus for the guess without driving a car.
