"Our stay at the hotel was OK. Our taxi driver had a hard time finding the hotel location. We had a long flight and were exhausted so it wasn't pleasant going around in circles trying to find the hotel in the middle of the night. We checked in and our hotel had offered us the city tours - which later we learnt turned out to be thrice as expensive as say the big bus tour. Try not to do the city tours offered by your hotel - you just end up getting ripped off. Breakfast at the hotel was quite pleasant. The only disappointment as that we weren't offered omelette or scrambled eggs at breakfast. They only served Turkish food - which was good but it would have been nice to have more variety. The room was comfortable. Although the walls are thin and we can hear people talking in the next room or outside the hotel room which can be disturbing especially in middle of the night or early in the morning when you want to sleep in instead of being woken up by a bunch of old people at 6 am. The best part of the location was definitely the location which is the key reason why we chose this hotel in the first place. It is walking distance of the blue mosque and the big bus tour starting point. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby so it's relatively convenient. We would only recommend the hotel for the location. The staff at the hotel weren't helpful at all. They offered us expensive city tours. Weren't helpful in advising where we can exchange money. And didn't even have a clue as to which airport we had to go to for our flight back home (we had to check for them). Hope the hotel can train up their staff."

"A very comfortable hotel, with a high standard of room with all facilities. When I arrived back one afternoon they were even changing the curtains-excellent. A small but refreshing pool with a good health centre with small steam room and sauna and exercise machines. A very good choice for breakfast with a large hot and cold selection. Definately reccommended. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar, 15 mins easy walk to the blue mosque and 2 mins from the Beyazit tram stop, giving easy and cheap (3 lira) link to Ataturk airport)."

"We had a wonderful time in Skalion. The hotel is closeby to blue mosque and Aya sophia and food market and grand bazar ( evthng under 2 km if u know the short cut). The turkish breakfast was adequate with variety of dishes. The front guy Mehmat was always very helpful and friendly and kitchen staff was good as well. Few comments: The so called juice which is like a syrup in breakfast must be replaced by orange juice which is sold for 1 euro in the breakfast. It is always good to book the taxi from hotel for airport transport but that was overcharged by hotel at a price if 4o euro however the real price which transfer van charged was 25 euro.( doesnit matter if u book a car or van ). Overall we were very happy with the stay with jist 2 recommendations as pointed up."

"We had a great 4- night stay at the Hotel Beyaz Saray. It was very easy for the taxi driver to find as it is located on the main street traversing the Beyazit and Sultanahmet areas. The tram station is almost right in front of the hotel, giving great access to all the major sights as well as shopping areas. Lots of restaurants in the area, but a bit pricey. Small convenience store right next door, as well as a couple of well known clothing stores. The buffet breakfast was delightful, offering a wide variety of cheeses and cold cuts, breads, cereal, fruit, yogurt, honey, as well as a couple of hot dishes that changed daily. Would have been nice though if they served real Turkish coffee instead of the vending machine variety. We had lunch at the Vista Restaurant on our last day, and were absolutely delighted with the quality of the food and service. We were the only customers there, and it was nice to have a leisurely meal in a quiet, peaceful setting for a change. Our second floor room looked out on the main street and had a great view of the Beyazit Mosque. Our room was starting to show its age, but Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room daily. The mini bar fridge is big enough to hold 4 liter-sized bottles of drinks plus several soda cans. Beds were comfortable enough, but consisted of two single beds pushed together rather than one king-sized bed. The air conditioning was weak, but since it was cold outside, we just resorted to opening the glass door facing the street. Only downside is all the noise that comes in also. The only difficulty we had was a bit of confusion about the hotel layout on our first day, as there are two entrances, on perpendicular streets, and the entrance located on Yeniceriler Caddesi (the main street) is the hotel's coffee and bakeshop. From there you take an elevator down a flight to find the hotel reception desk. The more direct entrance to the hotel lobby is on the smaller street perpendicular to Yeniceriler. Would stay again."
