Breakfast is a total disgrace”

We spent 2 nights. The staff was professional and efficient. This hotel need renovation but the room was ok, except the curtains who are not dark enough. Worse thing : the breakfast. 1st morning the buffet was very small, not tasty, included thai food, and 2nd one we didn't get any buffet. We had to choice on a menu 1 plate, and it was not good at all, we feld sick (food intoxication) few hours after and was unable to eat all day.

Lovely hotel”

Great hotel. Friendly staff. They have the softest and best beds we have slept in during our 3 months in SEAsia. The hotel is fairly new. The bar was great for a drink by the river. Breakfast was good. Would definately stay again!!

One night stay at CBD2”

This time 8 of us just 1 night at CBD2 on the way back from Hua Hin to Penang . Very good location . Just across the bridge from the Pillar Shrine & riverside night market . Just 15min drive to Central Plaza . What a surprise to get a such great mall in here . The hotel just situated at Tapee riverside . Not so clean but have great scene for photos . You can have your breakfast & night hang out at riverside but watch out for mosquito at night . Less variety breakfast but delicious pork & chicken porridge they served . Room with 2 queens size bed . Excellent ...sure will come back again

Good location overlooking river”

We did think this hotel was actually in the city side of the river and we did have trouble actually getting to the property. If you don't have a car it is a bit of a hassle getting over to the other side as there is no bridge to walk across. You need to go out of town a little and cross the main road bridge. Consequently we were at the mercy of unsrupulous song teow drivers who quoted anything from 80 to 200 baht for a short 4 minute trip. The hotel itself was lovely, big clean rooms , a very small balcony that is totally unsafe for children however. The view was lovely and we ate at their Signature restaurant which was excellent. The staff then arranged a driver to take us to the bus station for 50 baht which we were more than happy with. ( a 15 minute drive.) the staff were excellent, one of the girls even drove us into the city to shop. All in all we feel it was a more pleasant environment for the night than right in the main town.

Love location but the room is dirty”

Me and my friends choose this hotel because of location. The front desk staffs are so sweet and nice but as soon as we walk in the room, we find the small bbq stick on the floor and hair in the fridge which are disgusting.

Overnight stay”

The Hotel was very good; location , room and restaurant were all very good. Lots of parking spaces. As previously advised the town is not suitable for a tourist visit. - it is really used as an overnight stop to suit time of onward travel requirements. However, if you need to stop overnight, I would recommend this hotel :-)

New hotel with reasonable price.”

The hotel is rather new and located near the river and the room is clean with river view. Facilities are good, easy to access, ample parking and large room space. Price is reasonable. Will stay here when visits Surat next time.

Nicely located hotel”

We stayed here for a night. The room is clean and nicely decorated. The hotel is located at the river bank. There are many food stalls on the other side of the river. We did find two halal food stalls among them that enough to cater our dinner.

Great spot for passing through Surat Thani”

I stayed here for two separate one-night stays, before and after ~10 days out on the islands off the nearby coast. CBD2 is pretty new, very spacious, and quite modern. Breakfast is good, with both Thai and Western choices. Hotel is just across the bridge from downtown Surat Thani, and while I enjoyed the 15 minute walk to anywhere, some would end up taking taxis frequently. First stay the hotel seemed deserted, while second stay it was nearly full. WiFi worked great. One of my rooms had no door on the shower, which was a bit unfortunate.

Value for money”

Hotel is located directly on RiverTapia; big parking area; good room furnishings, no safe and no minibar in room but a big refrigerator instead; airconditioned rooms; room and hotel facilities very clean; staff very friendly; breakfast buffet adequate. Hotels offers own restaurant "Baybang" on riverside; just a few steps from hotel is another restaurant located on riverside with very friendly service staff and good meals with regular prices; next to this and hotel another riverside restaurant is located which is owned by Riverview Hotel.

Catch dinner on the river in Surat Thani”

We were impressed with the staff and their ability to help at all times. The view of the river is lovely and the bar and restaurant nicely appointed with the balcony on the river. We actually got to witness the eclipse of the moon there. Very beautiful! We would definitely stay there again.

It is spread it from the city ”

The hotel nice room is too big . Night time you need to use transportation to go out or come back because the way is so dark at night. The tv all in Thai language. The breakfast is good. The bar and restaurant in night full of mosquitoes.

Pleasant Surprise ”

Stopped off in Surat Thani Town for one night on the way to Koh Samui. The hotel was very cheap so we weren't sure what to expect, however it exceeded expectations. The room was large, with 2 double (maybe queen?) beds, which you don't often see and was very clean. We also ate in the restaurant which was very nice and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Would recommend.

Family Vacation ”

Opened about 1 year ago very new clean place. Quality bedding, sheets etc. Spacious rooms plenty of parking. We had a room with 2 doubles to accomadate our family but the price only included 2 Adults so they charged us an extra ฿370 for our nanny which included breakfast. When we called down for an extra pillow they wanted an additional ฿50 for that. They said the breakfast was an American breakfast, nothing American about it and if I was reviewing based on that they would get 1 out of 5 stars. But as a thai breakfast very typical fresh and clean and it's 3-4 star worthy Over all nice place I would stop again on our way to Koh Samui about 1 hour to the ferry.

Cheap, but not good for tourists”

This is essentially a conference hotel, not a good place for people stopping in the town before going to islands or mountains. You have to call a tuk-tuk to get to town. It's right on the river (the wrong side) and several times it was very noisy at night from large boats. Don't expect a western breakfast. Cold cooked eggs, instant coffee, white bread toast and no Juices. Best to look elsewhere.

Staff Poor Service.”

Staff at hotel has no service mind at check in and check out. Consider poor hosting when arrived. Staff at the rstuarant standing around with chating to each others. Didn't care much when I walked in to get some drink. I had to sit on the table without any host. I had also have to pick up the menu by myself. No host, until I was ready to order the staff cane by 3 of them and pushing to take order so hurry. I didn't have a chance to look at the menu yet. Poor Staff Managemdnt... Consider staff needs to be more training how to treat host...Food price also too expensive. NEVER COME BACK THIS HOTEL AGAIN.
