Since we will be reaching the place late (after operating hours) for check-in, the management/host wrote a detailed email stating how can we collect our key and direction to our stay. Within this email, the management/host shared with us places to grab our dinner, nearest supermarket & petrol kiosk (if we require any). Full kitchen with stove, oven & utensils to cook a delicious meal. Bathroom fitted with heater is a plus point during winter period. Comfortable bedding with heating mattress. Thank you Bicheno By The Bay team, we had an awesome stay.
Comfortable and unforgettable stay”
Bicheno by the Bay is a good place to stay. It's just few minutes walk to the blowhole. It is also very close to the town centre where the supermarket locates. The owners, Barbara and Andrew, are very helpful and friendly. Thank you very much to let us have an unforgettable stay!
Beautiful spot near the water and town”
We only stayed one night at Bicheno by the Bay but it was an enjoyable night. We stayed in a Motel Unit room and found it to be very clean and good value for money. There was a small pond (and I do mean small!) near our room with ducks in it. You could hop in a kayak (free of charge)and paddle around the pond. I've never come across and accommodation place before where you could do this so this activity to be very enjoyable! The hotel itself is located close to the water and close to the town centre. Would definately recommend this hotel.
Well-designed house/bungalow that's comfortable.”
Super value for the price! Very cosy and comfortable with its beautifully-designed interior. Would definitely come back here if I happen to travel to Wineglass Bay/Bicheno. However, the separated third room outside and next to the porch should be informed beforehand. No one ended up sleeping in that isolated room due to its remoteness from the rest of the house.
Nice design room, great location!”
Just back from a week holiday at Tasmania and... wow! Bicheno was a nice and quiet town. And this hotel should be the best place to stay, factoring the price and location. The room decor exceeds my expectation! Try to get room with kitchen as restaurants nearby close quite early and pricey. Would be good if hotel have its own restaurant.
Comfortable accommodation ”
we stayed at the motel-style rooms. it's surrounded by native bushland and there's small lake next to our room. free use of canoes on the lodge’s private lake. one of the bicheno main attraction -- blowhole is just located near the resort. the staff/owner of the resort are very friendly and helpful too. we booked the penguin tour tickets through the resort's staff.
Great, Clean Bungalows in a Beautiful Location”
Stayed in a one-bedroom bungalow for a night and the stay was fantastic. Place looks really new with everything you need including a fully functional kitchen. Location was a 5 minute walk from the Bicheno blowhole and an absolutely stunning sunrise. We used Bicheno as a base to visit Freycinet on our way down from Launceston and did not regret it!
What a beautiful spot. We stayed in one of the motel style units by the man made lake. Very cosy. Nil issues with car parking and access. Great heated pool! Easy walk to the beach and Bicheno blowhole. Will definitely stay again.
Comfortable Stay with Good Sea View”
I love it very much with the sea view out of the balcony! We stayed in the one-bedroom bungalow and it has terrific view, just like its name - Bicheno by the bay! Also, we were lucky to get the bungalow in my favourite pink colour! Although some said that it is quite old, considering the town and environment, I think it is still clean and comfortable! Enjoyed my stay very much!
Solid motel style accomodation”
Bicheno is about 25mins drive from Freycinet National Park so it may be more beneficial to stay in Coles Bay if you plan on spending longer at the park. But Bicheno is a quiet small town with a nice deli and located on the waterfront. The motel is nice though the heater didn't work very well in my room, and the wi-fi was very slow. But on the whole the room was comfortable and as far as a motel goes, this is one of the better ones.
Great location with cooking facilities”
the location is great. within walking distance to the bicheno blowhole. walking distance to the supermarket and good distance to everywhere around the town.
Beautiful Resort with excellent staff”
the resort is just by the bay! the reception and other staff are very kind and warmhearted. they helped me booked the penguin tour and advised me of the good restaurants around. the blow hole is spectacular. i also appreciated the ladies who helped me with the microwave.
Nice hotel and service”
Nice and clean room. Good location also (it's actually by the bay). The staffs are warm. They advised us the good restaurants around and helped us to book the penguin tour at the very last minute.
Travelling with my husband & mother”
Excellent unit in the bush with the sounds of the ocean. Bicheno is a lovely place. Cheryl S WA
Great hotel for short stay”
Nice cozy bungalow for short stay. Centrally located, easy access to Bicheno Blowhole. Close to town.
Lovely accommodation in Bicheno”
Very clean and tidy accommodation. It's ideally placed close to town with nice restaurants and coffee shops. Also 30 minutes drive to the national park for views and boat visits to wine glass bay. You can hear the Penguins at night and had visits from possums on one night. It was lovely. Also lucky enough to see some of the Penguins one evening. Would recommend a stay here
The little cottages just stole my heart away. Not only that, the amentities within the cottage is sufficient to stay for long. It is also located at a walkable distance to Bicheno town centre where you have food around.
Great place to stay...everything you need is supplied”
Loved our short stay Bicheno...only downfall, noisy penguins
Good. But not enough hot shower water”
Beautiful n colorful cottage 👍 Super close to the bay with red rocks. 500meters away to the blowhole. Wildlife around our cottage. Wonderful. Just the shower hot water is only enough for one person at each time. So others have to wait 30 mins ...
Nice environment, good location”
We had received a warm and friendly welcome upon reaching. There was space to park our car in front of the motel room by the lake. The room was clean and the bathroom looked refurbished and was very spacious. We were happy with the heating (bed, air-conditioning and bathroom) as the weather was quite cold. I would definitely choose to stay there again next time.
