"This is a beautiful place in the Big Bear downtown walking distance to shops and restaurants and entertainment. Jacuzzi, pool, sauna, workout facilities are nice to have. Lounge with live entertainment was pleasant and they even had a nice game room for kids and adults to play some air hockey, billiards, arcade games. Breakfast buffet was a bit of a disappointment. Service was non-existent and the choices were lame for the most part, would rather eat out at one of the quaint places in walking distance."

"The facility and location were both great, but the room we were assigned, not so much. Room 115 is the first room on the corner of the building near the parking lot. The room windows had vertical blinds which had been tweeked beyond repair leaving no privacy. Everyone walking by our patio slider, bedroom and especially our bathroom could look inside. I ended up covering our bathroom window with extra bedding."

"Arriving to the lodge was very simple as it is on the 18 highway right in the middle of the village. Our lodge was a loft style, which had open fireplace (I overheard the desk attendant tell a guest staying in the suits that their room had gas heating only) as well as gas heating. 2 queens sized beds on the upstairs loft and another downstairs nestled under the stairs gives sleeping capacity for 6 adults. Only one bathroom, which means there may be a wait if you have a large group, includes a standard tub and gas hot water which is VERY hot (take caution with small children) Large vanity area with 2 sinks makes morning scrub up faster. Kitchen is fitted with just about everything you can imagine in the way of cookware and utensils. Gas stove, microwave, full sized fridge/uprightfreezer combo, all clean. Room has good solid clean furniture. Decoration is in a mish mash hokey country style which personally I like. Only down side of this room was that it has very few power sockets and it was a challenge to keep all laptops/phones/ etc on charge. They do have wifi, speeds are very average. Cannot comment on TV or cable options as we do not watch TV- we closed the cabinet off so kids wouldn't ask for it. The lodge was clean and ample towels and bedding provided. Firewood sold at the office for $5 per bundle (3 bundles lasted us all night and next morning till checkout with some left over) While the lodge is located on 18 it is very quiet at night we could not hear traffic. Nearby stores include Dennys (almost opposite) Dominos Pizza (next block) Multiple Ski hire stores, and Ski Resort 1.1 miles. Supermarkets, Walgreens, CVS, Vons etc just a couple of miles up the road in the main shopping area. I will be staying here again as we come to ski often."
