Located on Lamai Beach, this resort is literally steps from the water. Bill Resort includes a tour desk, but if you wish, you can rent a motorcycle or car and choose to explore the island on your own. Popular activities include dives, kite boarding, and kayaking trips at the Angthong National Park. If you prefer to stay on land, you can head out for a game of golf, bungee jump, or go on a canopy adventure in the forest. Being on one of the more popular beaches in Samui, you will find no shortage of restaurants, but you might want to head to Chaweng for some decent bars and nightclubs. Bill Resort provides an excellent beachfront location at unbelievable prices.

No bikes for rental which was disappointing. Perfect location on beach but 1km walk to main strip. Restaurant wasn’t very good food. Pool was very clean and enough chairs for everyone. Room was dark and had open screens on windows that couldn’t be closed so a/c didn’t keep room chilled. Wifi did not work unless by the pool and even then it wasn’t very good. Staff weren’t very helpful. There was a giant mess between the pool and the restaurant of a wrecked cabana that wasn’t cleaned up watsoever. Ocean was too wavy to swim. Pool was the highlight.
Very glad to be there!”
Nice place. Nice staff. Very quiet and peaceful hotel. Deluxe bungalow is the best. Cost me approximately 1800 bat a night. Definitely will return once again!
Low Budget Great Location”
This is a great low budget place to stay right on the beach, less than 50 meters to the ocean. The Bungalows are older and a little rough, but the air con works good in them. Bill Resort has a nice pool and is located right on the beach. There is a restaurant at the resort that serves excellent food and is open until late. Laundry service is cheap and affordable here and you can rent a motorbike at the hotel to drive around and see the sites on the island...All prices are very competitive at the hotel. We enjoyed our stay here.
No frill quiet beach front bungalows”
Good value bit old but ok with a good pool quiet at night. Only draw back is a 20 minute walk along the beach to get back at night. Reception a bit useless can even ring you a taxi.
Quiet. Beautiful surroundings. Nice pool.”
Great place to relax. Bungalows are comfortable. Restaurant closes at 9pm, but a short walk down the beach to other places open later. Only drawback is taxi fares from resort to anywhere and back are 200 baht flat rate even for short trip. Unless you walk down beach it's too far and too dark to walk down the entrance road to main street.
Loved being straight right on the beach.”
Well after reading the reviews I had picked here, but once we arrived and got our cabin this was not what i had expected being so cramped so as iam looking around and theres cabins on the beach that were not on the web,so i asked and they did say they are not but for 20 dollars more its all yours..My god out of all my 3 weeks of my holiday this was the best cabin on the beach...
Good budget bungalow”
Nice place, a little small. You get a nice porch. It's a bit of a walk to the beach down steep stairs. Nice pool you have access to. About a 10 min walk to restaurants (besides pricey beach bars), nightlife, and grocery stores. You need to ask to refresh linens, and towels. Overall very decent budget stay.
Nice resort, but needs a renovation”
All in all we had a good stay in bill resort. After having trouble booking a room at the front desk we booked over agoda and all of a sudden we got the room we were looking for. The location is alright if you have a motorbike. it is quite and direct on the beach. But it really needs a bit of a renovation. feels like nobody has really taken care of this resort since 10 years....
So much potential, but just falls short in every way.”
This "resort" is really run down and not well taken care of at all. Rooms are dated and run down and the staff does the bare minimum. There are much better places to stay in Lamai than here. Keep looking.
The resort itself needs a major refurbishment. Although it is directly on the beach, it is a long walk from the centre, accessed from the main highway opposite Makro. The rooms were kept spotless. Staff were very helpful and friendly Pool was very nice. Didn't eat here, as room only, but a buffet breakfast was available as a part of some room deals There were some sunbeds on the beach, which we did use The resort looks like the poor relation compared with its neighbours
Great resort to relax ”
I enjoyed my stay at Bills Resort, i stayed near the pool ,and beach was very close to my room. the breakfast was pretty basic ,but good enough to start your day off. If you stay make sure you get a room at the bottom of the hill, its quit a walk up hill to the rooms at the top!The rooms are pretty basic ,but the beach, pool, and restaurant near beach make up for it!!!the staff were very friendly and took care of any questions that we had, and arranged motor scooters for 200bht a day. i would recommend getting scooters to explore the island and to go downtown Lamai. You can walk there in about 10-15 minutes on the beach.
quiet, peaceful, beautiful”
Really beautiful, quiet, peaceful place. The bungalows are built on a hill leading up from the beach and you feel like you are surrounded by the jungle. Nice porch to sit on. Easy beach access, the pool was really pretty (didn't use, but looked great) sort of surrounded by palm trees and plants. The beach is right there, but eroding fast and has a few LARGE boulders you need to navigate. We went a bit north or south for less water hazzard. Surf was up. Great sunrise. A not too far walk to the town, along Lamai Beach. This is the quieter less hectic beach rather than Chaweng. The staff is NOT too friendly. Really an angry, unhappy lot. Just keep away from them! no worries. Just looked at the breakfast-and definitely passed. Try the Black Pearl next door. Much better. For those of you who like to use the resorts sunbeds-there are many regulars who stay here for lengthy periods who seem to get up super early and stake their claim on all the sunbeds. Bill's probably should get more. I really liked this place. No noise, birds, butterflies, good sized bungalow, with bathroom, even a TV.
Great value resort”
Bill is a great budget resort to stay at. There was a wide buffet breakfast, beautiful pool, comfortable bed with daily cleaning and fresh towels, good beach access and located a 20 minute walk away from the main street. If you want a fancy 5 star hotel, this is not it - if you want a great bargain budget option this is fantastic.
Sun, swimming & relaxation.”
A relaxing stay away from bustle of Bangkok. Peaceful location close to beach & evening eateries. Everything we needed close at hand - food & drinks, Internet, pool, sea, massages, booking for trips. We were rather aware of the 'recycling' in 2 areas close to our room(607):sorting of polythene/cans & burning of rubbish.
Great pool and beach”
We enjoyed our stay at Bill Resort, we were s'posed to be in the main building but were put in a small hut by the pool - think these are slowly being upgraded and will be out of our price range then. Wish we'd had internet in the room and there were lots of stairs. Pool and beach were beautiful.
Loved our cabin, great location, ”
tv doesnt work, pool too far away, all the pool chairs are taken by 8 in the morning. the walk to the pool is like mt everest, i'm a runner but it didn't bother me, but my mom is 74 and she much difficulty with the hill.
Great location on Lamai beach with nice staff”
loved the location of our deluxe bungalow which was right off of the beach. we did not have a view of the ocean (2nd row of bungalows) but we could hear the waves which was quite soothing to fall asleep to. the porch was nice to sit and read on. the bungalow was slightly dated but comfortable. a little on the small side as you could barely sit at the small provided. the bathroom was clean. it was a "wet" bathroom which i have become accustomed to in thailand but others may find odd to shower right next to the toilet. staff made up the room nicely every day. wifi and cable didn't work in the room which was a disappointment but have come to expect spotty service in thailand which is not the resorts fault. the staff was very accomodating and friendly to us. helped us arrange transport and tours and motorcycle rental. the only unpleasant people were some of the other guests which would honestly be the only reason i wouldn't return. the resort seemed to be full of older grumpy europeans and russians quick to complain about anything. other guests would claim sunbeds as early as 6am and had a couple instances where beds looked open but were instantly aggressively confronted by it's "owner." never ended up sitting by the pool. same instances with breakfast toaster ovens and tables. you would think people on holiday wouldn't be so hostile. didn't let it ruin my time and just continued to smile at everyone.
Comfortable spot away from the craziness”
the hotel is a little out of the way, but it's so quiet there. i had a bungalow away from the beach, but it was perfect. i hardly ever heard anyone else. the view from the restaurant is stunning. while not right in lamai, it's a quick ten minute walk on the beach or a two minute ride by scooter.
Nice lovely hotel on lamai beach”
Nice lovely hotel right on lamai beach. Apart from crowded lamai center but still can walk about 10 min to lamai ceter. Room is little old, standard room kind of small and can not block any noise from lound neighbor.
Excellent resort with friendly staff”
We had a basic room and it was still very night had A/C and fridge. Nice porch out the door where we could hang wet clothes. Very pleasant stay. People at the front desk were great! Only issue was the beach sand was coarse ( very minor)
