1. Really friendly and nice staffs 2. Clean hostel 3. 5mins from the Hongdae station by walks, 2mins from the Yeontral Park by walks. 4. Serves you free rice and tea 5. Serves you free shampoo and towel. 6. It has many places inside of this hostel to chill out or study something. 7. Cheap price. You MUST choose this hostel if you are traveling Seoul. This place is not only good for the short-term travelers, but also for long-term travelers like me. :)

Incredible hostel in an awesome location. Staff are incredible, manager is super helpful and always goes out of his way to accommodate everybody. I came back to this hostel three times while I was in South Korea, I couldn’t recommend more!

A tad bit difficult to find initially from the Hongdae station, but felt very safe walking to and from even in the middle of the night. Cute cafes along the route! Also Hongdae station is very convenient to get to from the airport!

It's so convenient as close to the Hongik univ station ,The environment is so nice include inside and outside.you can have good sleep cause there is silent. Inside guesthouse is clean the bed and toilet are so clean. all staff is friendly and helpfulI I would recommend this guesthouse to my friends.

It could be cleaner and you can see the building is kind of old and the rooms are really small and super packed with suitcases, there isn’t anywhere to actually put your stuff so it’s all around the floor. But for the price, it’s definitely worth it, and for people who just arrive to sleep at night and then leave again in the morning it’s perfectly good enough

Pros: Reasonable price with 10mins walking distance to Hongik Station. Friendly staff. Easy check in/check out. Cons: The wooden bed frame was really not comfortable as it was not flat, bed has squeaky sound and my friend, who slept at the lower bunk, complained that pieces of bed wood fell onto his face whenever I toss and turn on the upper bunk bed. Hard to sleep well. Had to request additional blanket as the given one was too thin & not able to keep the body warm during winter. Noted that there was a huge luggage in the 2nd floor 8-bed dorm which doesn’t seem to belong to any of the tenant. Hostel staff should make sure that all items in the rooms are cleared whenever tenants checked out and allocate a space for those long term tenants. Otherwise, the room space become congested. Lastly the shower room was not very hygienic as it doesn’t seem to have been scrubbed for long time. Hope staff will look into these matters as I think these are valid complaints even for a 1star hostel.

Even though it is well located, installations need some maintenance and a deep clean. They take you out of your room around 11 am to clean-ish, so if you went for parting the night before you will be waked up and asked to leave your room for a time, that is extremely annoying!

One of worst place in this country”
This place is ridiculous. I'm very shamful of this place as a local korean&seoulite. Staffs are friendly but that's all. Really dirty. Toilets are always full or out of order. You always can see dirts on the floor. Stinky smell all around even shower room. I never seen like this 'slow internet connection' in korea. Please, choose other place. Don't hesitate to cancel.

One of my favorite hostels!”
I initially booked this place for only 3 days before I hopped to another hostel that my friends recommended. Honestly wish I just stayed at Birdsnest the entire time. I even went as far as leaving my hostel in Itaewon two days early so I could book this hostel again. Highly recommend staying here. Why? 1. The staff here are some of the coolest people ever. Super down to earth and willing to give you recommendations / hang out with you. 2. It felt like home. The environment was just very welcoming. Obviously, as a solo traveler, it's nice meeting people and this hostel allowed me to do just that. Of course you have to make an effort to socialize but the environment matters. Birdsnest has two living rooms that really welcomes guests and workers to socialize. 3. Location. Hands down my favorite area. If you're looking for affordable Korean dishes, bars, cafes, etc - Hongdae is a great location. Highly recommend you give this place a shot. It's affordable, located in a great area and more importantly the people here are awesome. I had the best experience of visiting Seoul because I got to meet so many people from this hostel.

Birdsnest exceeded all my expectations!”
It was my first try at staying in a guesthouse and Birdsnest exceeded all my expectations not only in terms of comfort, safety and convenience, but more so in the genuine care and attention afforded by the boss, Mr Lee, in ensuring that I had a good stay. Birdsnest is conveniently situated near the Hongdae subway station and a stone's throw away from the Hongdae shopping and eating places. The vicinity is abuzz with young people and there is no lack of places to hang out with if you're travelling with friends and family. I felt very at home and well-taken care of while I was in Birdsnest and extended my stay for another month there!
