Nice value for money backpacker hostel”
Nice stay at Black Bear with personal locker in dorm, perfect laundry area at top floor balcony (sunshine!), bicycle rental. It was always crowded with travellers from various countries. Good location walking distance from Hualien station. Cycled 30mins to 七星潭 for the sunrise.

Decent location and nice place to stay”
Nice place to stay in Hualien city. 10 minutes walk from the train station. Dorm room is relatively spacious with a lot of space to walk around and place my luggage. Only downside was there was only a single toilet in the room so guests have to compete for it

Comfortable and Clean Place”
I think it is a good place to stay with really reasonable price. just a bit difficult to find when I just arrive hualien. after that it is easy to know the way walk to station or main city area. just 20 mins by walk.

This is by far the most fun hostel i have stayed in Taiwan. A place so easy to make awesome friends and travel around together. The boss is helpful, knowledgeable and well associated with various services making customising the trip easy and convinent.

Great location with great price!”
We mentioned it was our second stay with them via Agoda and six of us got upgraded to the same room for 6 people. Room was very clean and mattresses were very comfortable, even better than some of the five stars gotels. Great location, accessible via motorcycles or bicycles. Nearby train station and value for price!

I was very warmly welcomed and the owners helped me out with every Tourist wish I had (translating Chinese Airline hompepages, getting a bike, finding my way around. For health reasons I didn't feel like sleeping in the dorm room I had booked and it was great how they immedeately offered me an upgrade at a very affordable price. Very recomendable!

Good for value, best if solo”
There were two of us, we chose it due to the very cheap price. But definitely value for money. Nothing extravagant to expect, a bunk bed and a small locker with key, don't expect thick soft mattress, you get what you pay for. Do be prepared to leave your luggage at the ground floor by the reception if you brought a big one like us, it's a multi-storey shop and obviously had no elevator. We opened our bags awkwardly and got out our toiletries and change of clothes back to our rooms upstairs. Bathroom and toilets were clean. They had some other amenities but we didn't really use as we were only there for a night. But the kitchen was a lil' bit messy and dirty, I actually saw a big cockroach crawling about. Don't worry the rooms were bare minimal but clean, we were asked to strip and bring the sheets to the laundry basket when we were on our way out.

Nice location and reasonable price”
Generally I had a satisfactory stay over this hostel. It took only 15min walking distance from the train station. Wifi speed is good. room is clean. only one washroom in the 10 people dorm so have to wake up earlier in the morning to avoid waiting. If u had heavy luggage it is advisable to stay at lower floor as there is no elevator.

The stay was great with good staffs, high security for lodgers, lockers and main door security password. Close to the train station and airport, very fast check in and check out. Very good indeed.

The location is not too far from railway station. =4/5 The living area is clear and large enough (although something can be improved) =4/5 The keeper is nice and funny (although she is better improve the Chinese language. XD ) =4/5 The facilities is partly out of order but the keeper prepare something replace. =4/5

Simple backpacker inn”
Due to flight delay, we end up reach the inn pretty late. The location still in walking distance from TW railway but a little far if you not clear about the location. Staffs were helping us settle fast that day. Pretty much an inn you expected for a backpacker inn
