Blakes Manor is unique and a must 'stay' if you are in Deloraine. From the freshly baked loaf on arrival to the luxurious furnishings and decor this is a very special place to stay. Deena and Brett were wonderful hosts and nothing was lacking in their attention to detail and super friendly welcome. We wished we had booked for longer than the one night.

Blake's Manor completely surpassed my expectations. This is a beautiful property in a lovely area and I have already recommended it to a handful of friends and colleagues. During my stay I experienced only the warmest hospitality and was impressed by the thoughtful touches, such as hot baked bread and generous breakfast provisions. I highly recommend a stay here if you would like to relax, be pampered, and enjoy the sights of Deloraine and Westbury.

charming, roomy and stylish”
We stayed there for 1 night in Nov 2015 and enjoyed it. Its location is good, only a short street from the main street and the W supermarket. Blakes Manor is a period style mansion that is rented out as several apartment-size units. Ours was the one on the left side: it was spacious, with 2 large bedrooms, a decent size kitchen, a bathroom, and a middle room. The furnishings were period. It was very comfortable, and the breakfast provisions were good.

We stayed at blakes mews suite. It's spacious and well decorated. The owners are very warm and they provided nice welcome food and breakfast.

Warm and welcoming”
The highlight of our stay here was the incidental treats provided by the hosts. Beautiful freshly baked bread, chocolates, cookies, port and a substantial breakfast. Very nice touch. There was some confusion about the room/s we had booked as we expected two rooms or at the very least two beds, so may be that extra clarity is needed in the description. Two guests does not always equal one bed. In any case it was quickly resolved and we were very pleased with the welcome we received when checking in. The building itself has a lot of character and it is an easy walk into the main street and down to the river.

This was my second stay at Blake's and there is a reason I returned - it's fantastic! This is a unique place with warm hosts, the rooms are impeccable, and the kitchenette is well-stocked with treats (thank you!) and facilities to cook for yourself.

Beautiful Hotel with Five Star Plus Service”
We were return visitors due to our very enjoyable stay previously. We are made to feel very welcome, as before, and greeted with cheese & crackers, port, home-made muffins, fudge, and to top it off, a loaf of warm, freshly-baked bread! Gannons Rest suite was very plush and very comfortable. All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Touched by the hospitality of the Owner on arrival”
Many thanks to Rhett who helped us to solve the stove issue and opening the main door's lock. The facilities provided to us is in good working order but just that we do not know how to use them. Just a note to Rhett that it might help to solve the main door's lock issue by covering up the extra keyhole which is not in use.

Disappointing”
Gannons Rest accommodation was not as described when we booked as a couple. A third brass bed is now crowding the 2 rooms leaving no comfortable sitting area. The only way to watch the one television was for one of us to sit on the bed and the other on a small chair on the wrong side of the high brass bed. Five people would struggle to find space in this rather dark over furnished accommodation

We had a smallish room compered to others and with cooking breakfast I could not help thinking where all the grease and smell was going as the range hood was only a filter with no external extraction. The room needed de cluttering. I don't how it could be cleaned properly

Very friendly and attentive owners. A quiet yet central location. Facilities reminiscent of the 1950s but comfortable and comprehensive, although the heating was a bit sparse. We enjoyed the olde world atmosphere during our short stay.

In relation to heating, the suite you stayed in had an additional fan heater in one of the bedrooms should you have felt it needed to be warmer than what could be provided by the wall mounted panel heaters.
