A Bliss-ful Experience.”
It is our first time to go to Singapore. My mom, brother, and I booked a Family room last year. We arrived around 11 am and we understood that our room isn't available yet, so we took our lunch first at People's Park Centre. But, due to our exhaustion since we had an early morning flight, we went back to Bliss Hotel around 1230 pm. For an hour, we waited and noticed that they allowed three different group of tourists for an early check in. I followed up on our room and the female receptionist told me that our room isn't ready yet since the housekeeping is so busy because they had a full house yesterday. She said that our room will be ready by 230 pm. I just wished that they prioritized preparing our room first because they knew we were already there before the other groups arrived. However, they gave us our room around 210 pm, which was fine with us. Anyway, we still had a great stay at this hotel. Located just across Chinatown Exit E, it is centrally located and the tourist spots are just within reach by MRT. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, it's no biggie since there are soo many eatieries around the area. Even the Chinatown food street is just 3 streets away. Our Family room, which has a Queen sized bed and two single beds, was more than enough for my family. There's no noise leaking from the street and we had four complementary water bottles per day. The shower room was nice but the sink is located outside the shower and comfort room. There's no closet, only hangers and hooks. TV channels is limited but it's okay since we were outside exploring Singapore most of our time. Overall, I still would like to thank Bliss Hotel for living up to its name and providing us the stay we wanted for our first trip to Singapore. If I were to go back on Sg again, I will definitely stay here.
Great place to stay, easy access to MRT”
We had a great stay at Bliss before departing on a Cruise for a leadership development conference. Bliss hotel is close to shopping, MRT, Chinatown food and markets. Getting a cab was was easy and also very cheap method of transport around town. Bliss was around $20-$25 Taxi from the airpot and roughly a 20-25 minute drive depending on traffic. You can take the MRT if you're looking for a cheaper option but I have heard it takes around 45mins. Chinatown MRT is right across the road from Bliss. Around $20-$25 Taxi to Singapore Zoo which was a great place to visit. Around $7 to Gardens by The Bay for the light and sound show at 7:45 and 8:45pm, go there early and have a meal and Satay by The Bay AWESOME food experience. Harbour Front MRT is only 2 stops from Chinatown from here get the cable car to Sentosa… another great day adventure. Our room was clean, comfortable and generally a pretty nice stay for the price. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Hotel staff were helpful, happy and grab communication.
Value for money, great location”
Our stay at the Bliss Hotel was short but definitel worth it. We got the Standard King room at a very good rate plus booking with Agoda allowed us to get an early bird discount. We didn't realize how small the room was until we walked in. The size didn't bother us that much since it was roomy enough to fit 1 big & 1 small luggage, & what we shopped for the day. I was surprised to find that the bed was fit exactly to the room. You can only enter the bed from the foot, not from the sides, because the sides were the walls of the room already. The bed, pillows & comforter were very comfy & clean. I can't say the same for the walls though. They had some scratches already, much like how luggages would leave marks when they scratch white walls. I hope this plus my concern below gets addressed (if my memory serves me right, we stayed in room 3016). The bathroom size was just right. My only complaint would probably be for the shower. The shower glass door didn't have a water stopper at the bottom so the water spilled out to the toilet area (which is right outside the shower area) every time the shower was on. This left us with a wet & messy bathroom for the entire duration of our stay. The towel that's supposed to be for the bathroom floor didn't help stop the water from spilling out because it gets soaked up within minutes of leaving the shower on. The staff were very friendly & can speak English properly. They readily recommended alternative routes to take for places we wanted to go to. The hotel also has brochures available at the front desk which features famous sights and activities around the city. The hotel is very easy to locate as it is right across the Chinatown MRT station. If your can driver isn't familiar with the place, just tell him to take you to Hotel 81 on Upper Cross Street & he'll know where it is. This hotel is right beside Bliss. Overall, thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely consider Bliss Hotel again when we return to Singapore.
One of the best hotel experience ”
The hotel location is one of the best you could find in Singapore, right in Chinatown with convenient store and restaurant open either late or 24/24, opposite is the MRT station and walking distance to Clark Quay or downtown. Room is small but has good organization, clean and worth the price for the location. They offer attraction tickets with a good deal too. Staff are phenomenal, everyone are super friendly and helpful. They set up our room with a sweet complimentary for our special occasion which was so thoughtful and I appreciate that so much. The only con is the noise resistance, we still can hear people clearly in the hallway and our next door neighbor, but it's not that bad at night so we didn't bother much. Thanks again for a great experience Bliss hotel and Singapore.
Very close to Chinatown MRT”
We opted for the standard room with no window view, which was fine as we intended to send most of our time in singapore exploring the city anyways. The room had the standard double bed, bathroom, tea and coffee facilities, tv and desk. The only problem with the room was the layout of the bathroom, the shower was designed in a way, that every time we took a shower the whole shower, including toilet area would flood. The basin was a lot located outside the bathroom and next to the door, which made part of the room a little slippery. Free wifi was also included with fast internet connection. The location by far the most favourable quality of this hotel, it was literally across the road from the chinatown MRT, which made it easily accessible to almost all locations in singapore. there is also a convenience store located next door and the maxwell centre was an easy 10-15minutes walk away. Overall, given the relatively high price of goods and services in Singapore, the Bliss hotel is a good choice for a conveniently located accommodation for travellers
Great short stay within the Chinatown area”
I extended my stay in Singapore after a seminar in Singapore. Decided on Bliss hotel as the location was excellent and the price was reasonable. The rooms are clean albeit a bit on the small size. Adequate for 2 people. The basic amenities are all there, hair dryer, toothbrush, shampoos, body lotion, instant coffee, bottled water. Bed is also comfortable with soft pillows. Air conditioning are working well. Water heater and water pressure is great as well. The staffs were efficient and friendly. I wanted to print my boarding pass and the staff informed me that I can send it to them through email and they will help me to print. Check out time was 12 noon but as I had a doctor's appointment in Novena, I could not make it back before 12 noon. I emailed the front desk and as good will they extended my checkout time till 1pm although they had high occupancy rate on that day. I was very grateful to them! I will definitely stay in Bliss hotel on my next trip!
Perfect little hotel in Chinatown”
I've stayed in a few hotels in Chinatown and this was my first time at Bliss Hotel and certainly won't be my last. The bed and pillow are super comfortable, they include a smartphone for you to use with free data and free international calls! The location is superb as it is located right across the street from the MRT station and Chinatown Point, a mall with a very good selection of restaurants and shopping. Right next door is a Cheers and around the corner is a 7-eleven. The hotel is also in between two McDonalds in case you arrive late and need to grad a bite to eat. One of the McD is 24 hours. Everything was very clean, and the staff was very courteous. I would definitely stay here again!
Great location accomodation”
We spent 3 nights at the Bliss Hotel based on good reviews. We were not disappointed. The location was perfect. Right on Chinatown shopping, right across the road from the MRT The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was small but had good facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities, great shower, very clean. And we were only there to sleep. The hop on hop busses past by our hotel. Perfect location. We would definitely stay there again.
Comfortable, well located boutique hotel”
I've stayed at the Bliss Hotel Singapore before and came back due to price, location and comfort. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and modern. The location is central and easily walkable to many attractions. The only downside is the noise. The building is quite old so the walls are very thin and hallway noise can be a problem. Furthermore if you have a room facing Upper Cross St (which is very busy) you will have a lot of street noise from traffic.
Nice Hotel, Great Location”
Stayed here for 4 nights on a recent holiday to Singapore. Having stayed in the Orchard Road area previously we wanted somewhere different so tried Chinatown. Location was excellent - very close to the MRT station and so many food courts and restaurants within walking distance (highly recommend the crab at Momma Kong's in the street behind the hotel!). Also not far to walk to Clark Quay area. Room was small but adequate (most rooms at this price range in Singapore seem to be small), but Air Con was good, bed comfortable and the bathroom clean, so no complaints. Even though we were only on the second floor and facing the street we could hardly hear any traffic noise, and certainly not enough to bother or wake us. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and I would happily stay there again.
Great location but wish the shower was better”
Very pleasant stay at Bliss. Hotel was across the street from Chinatown MRT station. The only major complaint was that the shower door swings open toward the bed, making access to the mini bar area difficult. Also, the shower glass is of open type, so it can easily over spray into the toilet area of the bathroom making the floor wet. Also the walls may be a little on the thin side so noise may travel but it didn't cause any problems for us. Since it is a boutique hotel, there is no restaurant or gym. But there is no shortage of food in Singapore!
2 Nights in Singapore”
The Bliss Hotel is a small stylish hotel in a traditional, restored and converted building near many sites in Chinatown and directly opposite the Chinatown MRT. The rooms a very stylishly appointed considering the limitations of a converted historical building and are more spacious than many hotels in similar buildings on this area. Although our room faced the main road the double window configuration muffled the sound sufficiently so that I never had any trouble sleeping. Recommended
Great location, nice hotel, & great shower.”
A very new boutique hotel in heart of Chinatown & across fr the MRT. It's right next to Hotel 81. Amazing location to see much of what Singapore has to offer either by train or walking. Chinatown is alive everyday & very safe. U are in walking distance of Maxwell Food centre, many restaurants, shops, drinking establisment & a supermarket at Chinatown Point Mall. Booked a king sized room w/ a king bed. The room was just enough for the king bed & walk way to the bathroom/shower. It's a bit comfy but it's clean, bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing esp after walking in the heat/humidity of Singapore, u will anticipate taking many showers b/c it's brilliant. A/C works really well. Has a flat screen TV w/ a few cable channels including HBO. I really enjoyed my stay & would return b/c the price was really great for the clean & newness of this hotel. The reception staff were courteous but didn't really know much about the area but seems like a lot of workers in Singapore can't really help u on directions. I highly recommend this hotel if u don't mind the small rooms. I would book this place again. No breakfast option but u are in Chinatown so there's your food options outside.
Good location in Chinatown”
This was my 3rd time staying at Bliss and this time we stayed for 2 weeks. It is located right across the street from Chinatown point and the MRT station and bus stops so it is very convenient. The rooms are small and it doesn't have a gym or swimming pool, but this is singapore and if you are looking for those facilities, its comes with a price. Overall a good stay and good value in relation to other hotels SG.
great location with free wifi”
bliss hotel is located next to the exit of mrt china town, just across the road. it's really convenient. due to its location, it's very easy to go anywhere in singapore, especially main tourist attractions. the room is quite small but it makes a good use of space. the room is clean and new. no closet but they provide the hanger space next to bed. the free wifi is working well. as in the china town area, there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. so, breakfast isn't an issue as you can find nice food in a few steps. the staff is helpful.
A very nice hotel located in the centre of Chinatown. The prices of hotels in Singapore can be overwhelming so it was a pleasant surprise to find this place. I would definitely stay here again. It is literally across the street from a shopping mall and a Metro entrance. With the purchase of a three day Metro pass, all of Singapore was easy to explore. As a bonus there are numerous restaurants nearby in the main part of Chinatown, only a few minutes walk away. The room was big enough for our family with a comfy bed and an awesome hot shower. Only small complaint was the AC was not the best. A great stay overall
unexpectedly remarkable hotel at great location”
it was a great experience and was an unexpectedly remarkable night stay at bliss. when i entered the room, it was filled with great amenities. room was spacious. it is well recommended for family with two children. it is comparable to those city 4-5 stars hotels. location is right in the heart of chinatown, where full of great shopping adventure, varieties of dining spree. no too worry about transportations as well. it is just minutes walk to chinatown mrt st. and not to forget about night life for those night goers. clarke quay is just a ten minutes walk from bliss. i could say, it is comfortable and convenient to go or do anything, bugis street, orchard road, sentosa, vivo city.. thank you for experiencing one moment of unforgettable day at bliss hotel.
Really near MRT ”
I have been to SG so many times but herewith our8 / 6 / 2 years old child so we need somewhere near the public transportation, easy to get some food. And Bliss hotel is just fit our group. There are not many hotels in SG provide you the King size bed but here it is. The room is quite small but they're all small in SG so it's acceptable.
A Bliss Stay @ Bliss Hotel Singapore”
Stayed here in their Family Room for three nights. I have to say this is one of the best hotel you can choose while in Singapore. I arrived at 11.00 AM and the room was ready so I could check in earlier, just like what I had requested. The location was superb. MRT Station and Bus Stop are just stone's throw away from hotel. There's Chinatown Point (shopping mall) in front of the hotel, with cheap supermarket, eating places, and shops. Great eating places are just around the corner, as well as shopping places. The Family Rooms is suitable for 4 person with1 king bed and 2 single beds. There were safety box, fridge, hair dryer, coffee / tea maker, bathroom amenities, etc. The cleanliness, the shower, the bed, I have no complains at all. The service also very good, from the receptionist to the housekeeping, all will greet you with smile. Overall, two thumbs up for this hotel. Definitely will stay here again on my next visit to Singapore.
Nice Chinatown hotel”
This is my second stay at Bliss and I have one piece of advice...pay for the upgraded premium or executuve room with views. Last time I got the standard room without windows. This stay was much much better with a bigger room and windows. Good wifi, tv channels and room amenities. Location in Chinatown and immediately opposite metro station. Easy to get anywhere. Great price for Singapore.
