Lovely homely B&B”
Blue Cotton Candy is conveniently located near the Taitung train station and is good if easy access to train station is your priority. There was nothing much in the proximity though. Host is very nice and helpful and the breakfast he prepared was great! The decoration of the place was really cozy and warm.. Love it!

Nice comfortable minsu”
My husband and I and our 10 year old daughter stayed in Blue Cotton Candy Guesthouse in early December 2014. The room was huge and it was very nice and clean. The bathroom was also very nice. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was home cooked and not the standard 'takeaway'. Generally it was a very pleasant stay.

I don't think I've ever felt welcomed as a guest, much like I've had at the blue cotton candy guesthouse. From the moment I walked in I felt completely relaxed. They went to great lengths in explaining taidong and helping me schedule out my stay.

Fantastic host makes you feel right at home”
We knew what we wanted to do when we got to Taitung, but we didn't know how we were going to do it. Our host was very helpful, calling transportation companies, giving us insights about timetables, what was feasible, what was worth seeing and what was worth scrapping. The room itself was simple and clean, and offered all the amenities we needed for a short stay. Hot water, clean towels, big bed, etc. Every morning we would walk downstairs to him cooking in the kitchen, and delighted with a different breakfast each day. It's located at a 5 minute walk from the main station in Taitung, where there are plenty of buses to take you around. I'd definitely consider staying here again if I come back to Taitung.

Great stay! Despite arriving late, Mr Xie (guesthood owner) patiently directed me and also waited outside for me. Location good, walkable from train station and bus terminal. Convenient to stay near train station as most places of interest reachable by train. Location also short bus ride to the city. Breakfast was fantastic! Healthy and beautifully prepared by Mr Xie himself. On the last night Mr Xie also invited another guest and for tea as we chatted with them and their friend. Totally feel at home. A big thank you to Mr Xie & Mrs Xie.. if not for them, I won't be able to successfully purchased a train ticket to Taipei the following day. Will visit Taitung again.. and my choice of lodging will definitely be here again!

Wonderful Guest House”
The breakfast provided everyday was delicious. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. The guesthouse is within walking distance from Taitung Railway Station and very convenient. Highly recommended.

The home-liked hotel is absolutely clean and tidy! It is even better than my 3/4 star hotel, I've booked the twin bedroom at 2/F, the floor of bathroom is clean and white as new! It's just ... amazing! The owner will prepare breakfast for you, with different daily menu. Location is far from town centre of Taitung (15 min drive) but is near Taitung train station (within 10 mins walk).

Absolutely lovely!”
I absolutely loved it & would recommend this minsu to basically anyone visiting Taitung! The owners were possibly some of the kindest people my friend and I had ever met! They made sure we were well-fed, had time to visit wherever we wanted to, and the room was so lovely! It's a very modern place, and this minsu is extremely close to the train station! If you're looking for some serious value for your money, this is definitely the right place!

Just the best!”
It was nice and close to the bike paths which suited us well as we wanted to see Taitung on our bikes. The area was quiet but only miutes from the main train station and shopping areas. Our host was wonderful and evn provided a little cake and candle when he found out one of us was having a bithday. This is a "2-star" establishment with "5-star" guest service.

We, three girls, had a pleasant time at Taitung. The hosts are friendly and talkative. They can give you good advises on where to go and eat. They choose carefully about their food and we enjoyed a fresh breakfast with them. A nice place to stay!

Home away from home”
It was like a home away from home. The owner prepared delicious breakfast for us every morning and also provide lots of info on where to visit in taitung. The room is very clean and comfortable. The only downside is the location, but I think it's still worthwhile to stay in the hostel with so much human touch in it.

Nice Owner”
We chose this guesthouse because it is near to the train station, and it is the only thing near this guesthouse. There are some car rental companies too. But no shops, and no restaurants near the guesthouse. Breakfast is provided and prepared by the owner. Delicious and well presented. The rooms are spacious, and the guesthouse is clean. But there is no elevator within the guesthouse, so carrying big and heavy luggage up to the rooms is a challenge. The other problem is mosquitoes. We got bitten by the mosquitoes everyday.

Owner very helpful”
Very comfortable guesthouse, if a little out of the way. Close to train station if that is all you need, but if you want to eat in the evening it is a long way from the city centre and restaurants - happily the owner offered to drive us in and out of the city for a small fee. He also brought us to the train station in the morning with all our bags which was very appreciated.

Lovely room and near train station”
At first, it was so difficult to find the lane as the signs are in Chinese and I cannot read Chinese. My Google map kept bringing me to a dead end. I was frustrated as it was scorching hot. Finally I found it after 40 minutes . It was so near to train station, about less than 10 minutes walk, if you know the right lane. Just look out for the tower with red top and go to the lane that is just behind it. Host was nice enough to allow me to leave my luggage and recommended a few eateries in City and informed me that I need to take taxi from City. Room spacious and clean. It's definitely worth the money. Breakfast was sandwich platter with salad and fruits and soy milk. Specially prepared by the host.

Love the decoration in this guest house, the host was very friendly and the guest house if great if you are planning to take the train. The train station is near and reachable by walk. As we had to catch an early train, this guesthouse was at a perfect location.

Very nice if you want to stay by the train station”
The host was very kind and even got up to make us breakfast at 6am before we left to catch our early train. The train station is only a 10 minute walk at most so the location is very convenient if you arrive late or need to catch an early train. The downside is that it's far (15 minute drive) from the city center where most restaurants are.
