Simply beautiful and peaceful : everything you could wish for ! ”
My boyfriend and I spent 2 days at the Blue Oceanic Bay after 2 weeks travelling around Myanmar. We were very well welcomed by the extremely nice personnel. They were always available to help us with everything we needed. The place is extremely peaceful : it really looked like a boutique hotel. The pool is very nice, surrounded by palm trees, the scenery is beautiful : beach view from the pool with rocks on the background ! Everything is clean and well entertained. The rooms are very nice with real cabin showers. A special thank to the manager of the hotel who personally came to say goodbye. It is perfect for a couple or a relaxed stay , away of the touristic crowd ( and more “business mass tourism” you can find on other hotels in Ngpali). We also stayed 1 night at another hotel and we wished we had stayed at the Blue Oceanic Bay : the quality of the hotel/ room and employees was simply not as good! The only recommendation : the rooms get a bit dark during the night

Excellent”
The hotel is really beautiful, and the staff are super nice. We were in a seaview cottage, which was very spacious and had a great view. The beach in front of the hotel has a bunch of large rocks, but at high tide it was perfect for our 4-year old to play in the sand and shallow water (it's also pretty much the only part of the entire beach that has shade much of the day). It's only a few hundred meters walk to the part of the beach without rocks. The swimming pool is very nice - new, clean, and with an excellent view of the surroundings. This hotel is on a beach separate from the "main" Ngapali beach - it's very peaceful and quiet, with just a few hotels, and some local restaurants down at the end of the beach. If you want to go to the other, busier beach (more choice in restaurants) you can take an electric scooter which will take maybe 10 or 15 minutes - it's a nice drive.

Exellent rooms and the finest service”
The hotel is yas the best price in Ngapali. Very cosy and clean rooms, exellent service. Personal is extremely friendly. You can't swim in the see right in front of the hotel as a lot of rocks. But it takes just a couple of minutes to get to swiming place by feet. Higly recomend for those who isn't ready to pay for Hilton but expects comfort and quite staying.

Great hotel in a great location”
This is a very nice hotel in the right location. I do recommend the rooms facing the beach - they are the best as you can sit on your porch watching the sunsets and hear the surf at night. There is a couple of restaurants just a short walk away along the road or you can catch a taxi (or ride a bike) down to the main beach. There are rocks outside of the hotel (hence the name), and a lovely long quiet beach just 2 minute walk along the shore. Bikes are free so get one and go north past the airport to a secluded beach with miles and miles of sand and not a single person (big waves though so do not swim unless you are a good swimmer). The hotel is very well run - I left my jeans with a wallet full of cash on bed one day and when I got back, the room was serviced, the jeans were there - with the wallet and cash in it. Enjoy Ngapali - it is quite nice.

Managed well hotel with hospitlity”
Very happy with the service and the management. This hotel is relaxing because it is tidy and staff take care about all your needs. They pick you up from the airport and bring you to the airport on-time. We received a welcome coconut juice upon our arrival and the check-in very fast and uncomplicated. The room was very specious with a nice balcony with sea view. We felt very comfortable from the very first moment and could relax right away. The interior of the room and facilities were classy and reflected a bit Myanmar using a lot of teak wood. When the hotel is booked out, I can imagine that between the sunloungers at beach, it could become a bit crowded. But this was not the case when we were there. The hotel restaurant served good dishes and drinks. We were very pleased with the management's and staff's hospitality and their service. Sitting outside one the varandah during the sunset is breathtaking moment.Definitely will return Report this review

Amazing stay !”
We stayed for Christmas in this hotel in a garden view bungalow. The hotel was empty, we were only 4 guests. The staff was so nice with us and care about our well being. They also proposed us to drive us to our next hotel for free !They made our stay In Ngapali so amazing! Thank you for this incredible Hospitality !

Beautiful hotel”
The hotel is located on a pretty and scenic beach close to the airport and not on the long beach of Ngapalli beach. We found it to be more peaceful and the beach chairs 2 m from the ocean were fantastic . A local tuktuk can take you to the long beach.

Great place to relax at Ngapali Beach ”
The bungalows of Hotel at the rocks are in the middle of a wonderful and calm palm tree garden and located at the most impressive part of the beach. A big rock with a golden pagoda on top and the shape of the rocks in the water offer a spectacular and wild scenery from sunrise to sunset. Rooms are spacious, bright and clean (24h hot shower) with an attractive sea view. Nice swimming pool. Helpful and friendly staff, excellent service, bicycles to rent for free, moped rental and restaurants available by walking 5 minutes. I can highly recommend the Hotel at the Rocks for a relaxed stay a little bit off the beaten tourist spots.

all in all ok. the room was big, quite comfortable and clean. ngapali is expensive, but the prices compared to the pleasure view resort are at the at the rocks to high. for example a bottle of myanmar wine was offered for 35$. or the transfer 10 minutes each way to the nicer ngapali beach (since you cant swim in front of this resort because of the rocks) was 25$. in yangon you could drive 5 hours for that price.unfortunaly the only alternative was bikes and a 30 minutes ride. a little bit bad is also that you wont have a bed on the nicer ngapali beach.

Romantic Quiet Private Beach ”
We were surprised to be almost the only guests staying here do it was like our own private resort. Perhaps because its a good bicycle ride away from the other beach where the restaurants are..but we found some fabulous local restaurants just across the street from the next luxury hotel. Swimming pool will be finished in April so an added benefit. Staff appreciated an hour of my time to teach some hospitality English and would enjoy more if you are inclined. Very eager to learn. I hope to stay back there again next visit.

Big rock on the Beach”
We stayed here as a vacation from our vacation. Mostly, we sat near the seawall and read. There is limited beach because of the rocks without walking several minutes down the shore to swim. The hotel has a limited menu, so three nights means you run out of choices. And there is no pool. However, we were met at the airport without planning it ourselves, and, when we left, they took us to the airport and stayed with us until we had boarding passes.

Very pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staff”
I had read the previous rating before about this hotel. It might be now with the new management group. The staff were friendly, helpful and able to communicate. But please know this is not the big city and good enough for this. The food were quite good and reasonable.My kids born and raised in U.S like the food and reasonable price. My kids were not able to eat spicy and the chef made the way they like. Kids and us enjoy the stay there and will come back again.

The facility is good. Location is not so bad. However, the staff, especially the front office and F&B dept staff, needs extensive training. If the FO staff is well trained, it will be a hotel that I shall stay whenever I go to Ngapali. However, I need to think twice to stay there again with this current staff.

Perfect place for us for meditation. No swimmer to bother us. Sitting infront of the Rocks on the beach during the sunrise and sunset time is breathtaking moment. Service is good too. Staff went out of the way to help us. will return next year.

The hotal was nice, clean and shower was good. Pool was great. The beach was covered in rubbish and there was a lot of broken glass in the sand. Tge food was of a poor quality and overpriced.

Our stay was good, staff was very friendly, but sometimes not always very attentive. It does not seem apparent to anyone to come by now and then and see if you need a drink or food while out looking at the beach on a lounge chair- missed opportunities for business. Hotel has a large staff that does not always seem to know what to do- and you always needed to ask for things- like another cup of coffee at the breakfast. The breakfast was ok, but never changed from day to day- and always seemed to be running out of food. Did not have any other meals as some great seafood local places were nearby- so cannot comment- but never saw anyone eating. Rooms were large and comfortable and had great a/c- but could use an interior paint job. Hotel is on a section of the beach that has a lot of rocks (hence the name) so hard to swim-(can wade in a bit) but was very scenic- and the rock free beach area was just a short walk away. The staff made a nice bonfire Christmas eve event that was free- which was a nice surprise, as was the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. They also arranged free bikes for us to use during our stay. I would say if the management steps things up a bit- this could be a great hotel- but they need to make more effort to train their staff more. Everyone was friendly- just not very service driven. Hotel had a large presence of military officers during our stay- which I would assume was not the norm- so seemed empty most of the time. Hotel only a 5 minute drive to the airport.
