Nice bungalows near the beach”
We really enjoyed out stay in Blue Resort. Bungalows are spacious, clean and comfortable - the only drawback was lack of mosquito nets. German owner is helpful and speaks good English, if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask him for help. The beach is just 200 m away and it is one of the best Koh Chang beaches - quiet, with nice relaxed atmosphere, cafes and restaurants. It is great choice for families and those who look for relax, but if you expect bustling nightlife it's definitely not the place for you. If upmarket resorts nearby seem overpriced and backpackers' places too basic and shabby - Blue Resort is something in between. Common area needs some finishing touch and few thing may be improved, but it is good quality for reasonable price. Worth recommending.

Lovely wooden bungalows around a small lagoon”
the staff at blue resort were fantastic, extremely helpful, and had lots of information on booking activities on the island. it is located where chai chet ends and klong prao begins. it is a quiet area, and a good place to get the most of your day and enjoy a good night's sleep. the bungalows are large with beautiful front windows that slide open and comfortable beds. we were two couples traveling together, doing lots of activities during the day, hiking and biking during the day on the east coast of the island, eating in klong prao, and drinking at kai bae or lonely beach at night. during high season, the taxis were everywhere, so we had no problems at all getting from one place to another.

Nice cousy lake by the Bungalows”
all the bungalows lies around a little lake which creates a very cousy atmosphere. a very nice beach can be reached 3 minutes away on foot (very romantic and not so crowded as other places on koh chang). the beach also has some good restaurants with reasonable prices (as long as you buy that food - pizza etc. is quite expensive - but why should you also eat this in thailand!?) the hotel staff is very friendly, however only one of them speaks prober english, which can make it difficult to communicate when shes not around - however the rest of the staff are very friendly and tries hard to understand you. there where also some downsides: - we only got new soab 1 time (when we arrived), however rest of the cleaning and fresh water worked fine - only 1 person spoke prober english - our bungalow (cant say if its the same for the rest) didnt close proberly around the door and one of the windows which made room for mosquitos to come in - we fixed this with mosquito net in the window and a curtain in the door, but this is'nt quite good enough for a new hotel (1-2 years old) - the breakfoost wasnt anything to write hoome about... try to get a discount (we got 300 baht less (2 persons) and book without the breakfast... this can be found cheaper and better close by in the end we were happy by the place and booked more nights

Over-rated, over-priced & Very uncomfortable bed”
overall bad. Booked Blue resort as a luxury mid-range hotel and was badly disappointed by many things. 1. Reception couldn't find our booking when we arrived 2. Mattress was very uncomfortable. 3. Toilet seat wobbly and toilet system constantly dripping. 4. porch light not working and took 2 days to change the bulb! 5. Old noisy A/C system meant we had to sleep with either ear-plugs or no a/c 6. Hotel info says 50m from beach. This is technically true in a straight line although to get the the beach you must walk 3 minutes through the next hotel (currently a building site) and their gate is closed at 18.00 meaning we had to walk all the way around to the main road 7.Building work in the nearby hotel started 8am and went all day. On the plus side... 1. Breakfast included was enough, but NO menu and simply served an american fried breakfast. At least there was a buffet style table for tea, coffee, water and pineapple. For this price, it should be a full buffet breakfast....help yourself style or at least a menu to choose from 2. view from the porch over the lake was pleasant to watch the fish swim around and look at all the other bungalows across the water. In Summary....Over rated and greatly over-priced (should be approx 800-900 max 1,000!) NOT a relaxing stay

Pleasant Apart from having to move rooms”
When we were given our first room we were met with a very strong sewage smell in the bathroom. We asked to change rooms because of the smell (and they seemed to be very aware of it), nevertheless they moved us to a different room. The conditions were good apart from the sink which kept blocking up unless you pulled the drainer up. So we ended up using mostly the shower to brush our teeth etc. Breakfast was included and was very good. The also offered to take it to our room so we could eat it on the terrace. English skills weren't great, but the staff was helpful. 5 minute walking distance to Chai Chet beach. Overall it was a pleasant experience apart from the minor room faults.

middle of the Jungle”
This is a collection of small bungalows around a lake with small fish. It looks great during the day at night it is difficult to see much. The bungalow is basic but enough. At night time you will hear all the animals of the jungle! The first night took me some time to adjust. You might wake up with bird noises. You can walk to the beach within ten minutes through another resort. The way to the beach is muddy and the road around the bungalows also. The wooden floors that give access to the bungalows have holes and you need to watch your step.

It was really good. On chai chet beach. Views are very beautiful - nice woodden bungalows standing on some kind of river - fish is under your bungalow and you can feed it )) It is located on sea side so it will take you just 5 minute walk to get to the beach. Really quite place - bungalows are not on the main road so nothing will disturb you from sleeping

Quiet place, breakfast restaurant at the corrner great, however Resort Spa & Resaurant out of function, everyday issues were: - hard to open/close the window, open/close & lock/unlock the door - despite room service, we had to ask extra for toilet paper - lack off wi-fi conection (as other locations were ok, provider was not the reason as stuff claimed) - 3 times water reductions in 6 days - 2 beach accesses, both unussual: through back door in a fence, across Chai Chat Resort service area or from the main road, through Coconut Resort / Yen Sabay Restaurant - no mosquito nets as bungalows stand on pilars obove the standing water - access to bungalows across the bridge without fence, stream full of trash, ... also surroundings. - just one meber of the stuff speaks english (generaly they were all friendly) - poor management (as family of 2 adult and 2 kids at start, we're in far away bungalows, problem was solved by our own as we asked onother guest) Resort needs coplete renovation !!!

Brand new bungalows near a peaceful beach”
The bungalow was brand new, so everything worked perfectly. Some parts of the surrounding area did not look like finished yet, but no problem. Chai Chet beach is close to the bungalows. And it is a peaceful beach with restaurants and even internet services.

Quite nice”
with a great lake and huge fish in there! As the Owner is Thai (not German) the maintenance of the bungalows is, well, unsatisfactory. The wet wood used when building has bent and leaves big gaps. So the mosquitoes can enter at will. That is the only problem there. Otherwise great, close to the beach, friendly staff, very helpful. Food is 1 minute walking, beach is 4 minutes, three shopping places within three minutes that are open 24 hours - perfect. And good, working Internet. Parking no problem. If you stay bring broad sticky tape to seal the windows... Then its perfect.

Quiet and restful”
Friendly staff who were ready to help and answer frequent questions. They took the time to stop and have a chat and then offer an unexpected courtesy on a number of occasions. We enjoyed their company. The location was great - away form the busy tourist area - yet close enough to walk to both the lovely beach and nearby restaurants. Would we return? Certainly, and would recommend to others.

great little place, nice clean rooms, near beach”
I enjoyed my time here. Nice place. Great quiet location. A few night spots nearby, mattress was a bit too firm.. a short scooter/motorbike jaunt to White sand beach area. Had a pleasant stay and will come back again. Breakfast was so-so, but hey at least there was breakfast!!

In all, it is an unpleasant stay......”
The room and the breakfast was just at ok level. The German owner was also nice. But there was one reception girl who at first promised to book a jungle tour for us and told us that she would take for her service. We thought that pretty reasonable. But it turned out the second day that she actually booked us a kind of around the island tour , made us a wrong booking! We had to go back to the hotel to argue and had to change our plan for that day finally, because it was too late to make a real booking of jungle tour for that day. Again, this reception girl, when we told her that we will have to leave very early on the day we departure to catch the first ferry, she said she would be sleeping in the room behind the reception so we could find her any time to check out and get our key deposit back. What actually happened was that we spent almost 30 mins to look for her and couldn't find her at all. We also tried to phone her. If it was not because another employee there (a beatiful girl with long hair) happended to appear very early that day, we would miss the first ferry and our later schedule would be ruined. Even the girl appeared later couldn't find that reception girl and had to pay us the key deposit from her own pocket. That was the most unpleasant experience we had in Thailand. The other thai people are very nice though. And the hotel in all was an ok hotel, but you should be very careful about the particular employee there....

nice hotel biut ripped off buy the motor bike scam”
nice hotel in a quite place. i was ripped off by the motor scooter scam. the same a they use in pattaya with the jet ski. rented the scooter and brought it back the last day just in time to catch a taxi to get off the island. she said i made all kinds if scratches , that none were done while i had it, but with lack of time with the taxi there, i had no time to argue so i gave her the money and headed out...go elsewhere to rent

Nice area, friendly staff”
The area is really nice with the houses around the water lily pond. But bring Moskito spray, if you want to sit outside on the balcony. The staff is very friendly including the baby cat. Unfortunately the rooms weren't very clean, lots of spiderwebs and also some mouse crumbs. The owner told us that they only have the place since a couple of month and are building it up again, so I think in a while this can be a really nice place.

Almost.... almost a beautiful place”
Seems great in photos. Maybe in the busy season, it's nicer, with the restaurant open? Just felt sad and dirty and rooms smaller than expected and... just almost everything. Didn't like the beach access closing at 6 p.m.!!
