Outstanding option for Sydney City”
Had a function to attend at Kirribilli on Thursday and discovered the Blues Point Hotel as an option for accommodation for two nights. Down the road from busy (and expensive) North Sydney it's a pure gem of a small pub offering accom, great dining and a warm welcome. Great option for staying in Sydney with transport connections at the door (bus), ferry (down the hill), train at North Sydney or a cheap cab / Uber trip to the City. Recently renovated the pub offers only 8 rooms with facilities down the hall and no air con in our twin room. Roof terrace has fine views across to the City and up the Parramatta river to Balmain. (Bit hot and sunny in the arvo). Lovely 1940s architecture and fittings with a quiet lounge at the rear of the bar alongside the eating areas. Good value at 130 a night for a twin. One big issue is PARKING! No long term parking on the street nearby. All residential permits or 1-2 hours restrictions till 11PM or Midnight. So be warned - I was slugged $114.00

Lovely accommodation”
Hi love staying at the Blues Point Hotel. The rooms are modern and clean with comfortable beds. The location is lovely - in a leafy residential area only a short walk from North Sydney and the train station. The pub downstairs is really great - good food and atmosphere, and there is a cafe next door that serve wonderful green smoothies.

Great Location”
The hotel was perfect for our two night stop over. Located on Blues Point road it was perfect for walking onto the ferry service and local restaurants in North Sydney. There were one or two minor issues, no parking, fan not working, no on-suit bathroom and no privacy blinds in our bedroom looking out onto the main street.

Blues Point Hotel is a nice pub near McMahon's Point. There's a corridor of 8 rooms above the pub. Very convenient for people needing to stay near North Sydney.

Beautiful simple pub hotel”
I love staying at the Blues Point Hotel. The pub downstairs is gorgeous, with a harbour view rood terrace, and walking distance to North Sydney CBD (bus on doorstep too). Rooms are simple but clean with sinks. The shared bathrooms are dated but clean.

Excellent Hotel Accommodation ”
Our room at the Blues Point Hotel was a real surprise. Clean, quiet, quite large, and recently renovated by all appearances. We expected a very basic pub room, particularly at the price we were paying. Location alone makes this hotel very appealing but it was very comfortable from all aspects, including tv, coffee/tea facilities and air conditioning. The pub itself has a good ambience with great food and Guinness! We will definitely book again.

A little gem of a place! ”
Darren checked us in despite arriving at 10pm. It's quite quaint and delightful at the same time. Felt like staying in someone's big house. The idea of a shared bathroom was a bit awkward, but since we stayed for barely 8 hrs, it was manageable. Your roomkey gives access to the residents door when the pub closes, so keep it with you at all times! The major surprise was that it was so close to one of the best vantage points of the Sydney Harbour and bridge plus Luna Park! Will definitely consider staying again for a longer period of time. Good location, value for money.”
The Blues Point Hotel is in a great location. We thought our room was good value for money, especially on a Grand Final weekend. Basic room but clean and all we needed for one night. We would have preferred our own bathroom but we were happy to have shared facilities until we realised that the people from 6 or 7 rooms had to share only two toilets and two showers. This was made worse by individuals locking themselves into a combined toilet/shower area when they were using either convenience. This was totally unnecessary as each had a separate, lockable door. Complaint over, I would still go back to the Blues Point Hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable and the bar and eating areas were also good. Great location, being close to ferries, buses and trains. Would recommend.

Great location, great price and fantastic helpful staff. Room spotless - shared bathroom but that wasn't a major issue for us. Smart neighbourhood, 10 mins walk to Ferry and Train station for connections all over Sydney.

Handy for the Mater Hospital”
We live in the Southern Highlands My wife had to come to the Mater Hospital for a major operation. We have previously stayed in McMahon's Point and realized how handy a location it is. Blues Point hotel was a great base for me to visit my wife, have comfortable accommodation and handy for a number of eating options.

A very well located hotel ”
A very well located property within budget. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Traffic noise was minimal although staying just above blues point road. It was a terrific old pub although the meal size in the evening was more of a child serve albeit special price. I recommend this very well located and well priced hotel.

Near to Central”
I arrived around 12P.M instead of 2P.M and they are willing to support us for earlier check-in time. Appreciate for that. The hotel is 5 mins walk to the metro and easy to go to Sydney central.

Nice value for the money”
I mainly chose to stay here because it is close to some friends living in North Sydney. The room is a little dated, but it was quiet and comfortable. There are two "shared" bathrooms which is fine for a small hotel with about 8 rooms. I never saw another hotel guest during my coming/going to my room. There was no air conditioning....but it cooled down enough at night where I could sleep comfortably. During the day, it was warm in the room... North Sydney train station is about a 10 min. walk away. If on a budget, I think this is quite a nice little place. The pub downstairs has a nice selection of beers and the food was great.

The Hotel has recently been renovated and the rooms are great, albeit the traffic noise from Blues Point Rd was more than expected. The shared bathrooms are in need of similar renovation, should be allocated between males and females and need to have working shower door locks. Other than for the bathroom facilities, we loved our stay.

Clean and comfortable little hotel”
Blues Point Hotel offers clean, functional accommodation. The bedroom I was in was renovated to a high standard and the bed really comfortable. Shared bathrooms need renovating and the kitchenette needs to be better stocked with eg wine glasses, toaster, cookies.
