a real oasis off the beaten track...”

beautiful rooms, pool, and restaurant

I had only booked for one night, but found Bluewater a beautiful stop off on a 2 day trip to Bohol and Panglao... A real sense of peace in the resort, with marvelous rooms (I have stayed in bigger, and fancier, but not sure I have ever stayed in one that gave me such a sense of peace. The pool and pool bar were small/medium, but beautifully formed! The restaurant food was excellent (and reasonably priced too). cons: only a few... 1. wireless internet is poor. Didnt reach my room. As someone who needs to connect daily for work, that was a big minus. Easily solvable with a cheap booster AP at the poolbar end of the hotel (as I suggested to reception)... 2. it is off the beaten track (literally!). It is not on the main beach or socializing zone, and as such you will need to use the courtesy minibus of the hotel to get to the busier, more attractive beaches.. I guess if I was summing up I would say that it is perfect for a romantic getaway, or for a solo traveller, or family just wanting me/us time...it suited me down to the ground and I thought it was lovely. Thoroughly recommend.

nice stay in panglao”

really nice resort, friendly staff

we stayed for one week at panglao bluewater during the christmas holiday and really enjoyed our stay. the resort feels clean and the staff is friendly. they also offer a good deal of things to do and although it costs a bit more then it does down at alona beach it feels like you get value for money. for example we went on a day-trip around bohol which was almost 3 times as expensive as down at alona. but the difference really was notable. everything was included in the price including lunch, a guide and a driver, entrance fees and much more. compare that to hiring a driver for a day where you pay for everything else separate, which means you will still end up paying alot more then you thought from the start. the only complaints i can think of is getting to and from the hotel. the road really isnt very good and walking down to alona beach either includes a treck along the water line where there isnt really anything but a small dirt trail or walking along the "main" road which is nothing more then a gravel road with alot of pot holes filled with water during the time when we were there. over all though, a really nice resort which i can recommend to other families wanting to visit bohol and panglao.

For a relaxing vacation, do come here..”

We recently stayed here for 5 days/ 4 nights and had a very relaxing, stress free stay. The resort overall is well-maintained and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family loft, which is very spacious for a family of 4-6. There are various activities to occupy you while you are in the resort. While there was ongoing renovations in other rooms, we were informed prior arrival of this and not the least bit bothered during our whole stay there. The breakfast buffet is just fine. It had varying options per day so at least you dont get fed up eating the same food everyday. On days we ordered ala carte (pizza, pasta), food was delicious. Only negative was the distance of Bluewater to Alona Beach. You need to ride their shuttle (not free) or a tricycle to get to and from the beach area because the seashore by Bluewater is not recommended for swimming. Also was wondering why check-in policy is 3pm and checkout is 11am. Many hotels/ resorts do the 2pm check-in and 12nn check-out. Nevertheless, we had a terrific stay. It allowed our family to recharge and destress for a week. Thank you, Bluewater Resorts Bohol!

Excellent, rejuvinating...”

Peaceful, classy, family-friendly

This was the perfect resort experience for us, and it has exceeded our expectations. We have tired away from the hustle and bustle of most resorts and beaches and we were looking for something more serene and relaxing. The resort was only a few minutes away from the Alona beach strip, and we always looked forward to returning back after each day at the beach or sightseeing. The food was fantastic, and the waiters are corteous. We found that the room service was relatively quicker than the restaurant service. The staff and the resident manager were very accomodating, hospitable and professional. They will make your stay as pleasant as possible. On our fourth night we upgraded from the Premiere Deluxe room to the Honeymoon Pool Villa, which was secluded and intimate while still very accessible. We did an ocular visit around the Alona and Danao area at some of the top resorts and we found that nothing compares to the rooms and villas at Bluewater. Our family is planning to come back and stay at the Villas/deluxe rooms at our next visit to Bohol.

Friendly staff, good service, quiet and relaxing atmosphere

we had a wonderful time in bluewater resort. the staffs were very friendly, service with a lovely smile.. the resort is very close to alona beach and i love the environment is very quiet and is good for the couple to spend their honeymoon or anniversary. besides that, i love the resort's food is very fresh and delicious. the price wise is reasonable and not like those 5 stars hotel overcharged on the meals. i love their swimming pool is big and just in front of our room. in conclusion, if i'm coming back to bohol, i definitely will choose this resort again.

June 2017 Trip”

Our 2nd time in Bohol and 1st time in Panglao. We had a very wonderful time here and we would recommend this resort if you plan to stay in the area. The resort has a lot of security staff and the service was excellent from checking-in to checking-out. The room was so big with a very nice bathroom (tub). They have 2 swimming pools and many activities to do like biking, kayaking, etc. Lastly, their Aplaya Restaurant served delicious meals we had breakfast, lunch & dinner here. We would love to come back! Great place!

Had a wonderful time, will visit again”

Clean rooms, excellent service

i read through the reports and went to the resort expecting to pay a lot money. on the contrary, we found the resort not too expensive and very reasonable. anyway i'm getting ahead of myself, let me explain the pro's and con's. pro the rooms are excellent, very clean and modern, the bathroom is also great. some people complained about not being able to control the water temperature, we had no problems whatsoever. while some people might not like the 5 minute walk from the rooms to the restaurant, we had no problems with the walk (keep an eye out for the huge snails in the garden), they also provide a free golf cart for those unwilling to walk the distance. the staff were amazing, to be honest, we did't go to bohol to stay in the resort. but what little time we spent there, the staff were very professional and accommodating. they always approached us with a smile, and offered us towels and advice before we asked, excellent service all round. big thank you to the lobby staff who were always on hand to answer our questions regarding travel arrangements. cons the distance to alona beach can be a problem for some, and at times we found it annoying. we didn't really mind the distance, but we found the lack of transportation options a pain. it was a hassle trying to negotiate with trike owners, who always quoted outrageous fares. on a side note however, the hotel staff where always willing to call a cab or trike for all guests, and they did not charge anything extra. some reports state that the resort transportation option was very expensive. this is now not true, the resort did not offer us their options, instead call private operators, we paid 50pho for each trip to alona beach and found it to be fair. breakfast was also a little disappointing, while the food was good, we found the selection a little lacking. overall we had a wonderful experience at this resort, and would come again in the future,

Recommended resort to take a rest”

quiet, cozy, nice staff,

Restraunt is little bit far from the deluxe room. But it has nice view and delicious food(but it's not various). Good room condition. I love the bath tub. It's little bit small for two people, but anyway we enjoyed a lot. It's new resort so it's really clean, and staffs are kind. But no free transport from airport or seaport. And no free transport from/to alona beach! But there are morotcycle(a.k. Habal-Habal) service, so you can ask to the front desk.(50peso per person.) When you arrived at alona beach, you can contact local driver near alona beach, and it's much cheaper for transportation. If you ask them what time you want to pick up, they'll be there even before on time. It's 25peso per person(half price than resort's price.) We order sausage and club sandwich for room service, and it was quiete delicious. Much better than expectation! We didn't use the pool, but pool is quiete and nice. We bring our own wine bottle. If you ask the staff, they'll bring wine opener and glasses. It's free! There's not many guest when we're staying there, because of it's not famous, and they're still constructing part of their resort. But there's no noisy. Overall, it's new resort, so they have to fix many things, but it's still worth while to pay those dollars for us. It's quiete and cozy to take a rest! But it's not a distance to walk to alona beach, so people who want the resort that easy accessing to alona beach, will not satisfied. For us, it's little bit un-convinient to go to alona beach every day, but we enjoy habal-habal, sunshine, and many stars when we go to/back from alona beach. It's only 5-10 mintues by motorcycle. I guess this resort will be much better after litte period, but still good place right now.

Location and good services

This hotel is the better of this part of island. Not to fare of the village but no problem to go with the free shuttle. Quit, big and confortable room, swimming pool, good restaurant. Good place to start the visit of Bohol. I really recommend this hotel if you want to have a good time in Bohol I have one regret is the activities offer by the hotel. Expensive and giving no more comfort comparing the offer proposed in the village Alona Beach. You have no beach but you can walk around the discover the life of lagoon

Big family vacation ”

Cleanliness and spacious rooms, accommodating and service oriented staff, great food

Best vacation destination for a big family of 13 persons aging from 6 to 80. We love the rooms because of their cleanliness, beds are really big, very modern and even the toilet and bath are spacious. The swimming pools are nicely designed. Staff are very accommodating and service oriented. They have a golf cart so elderly people have easy access from the main area to the beachfront where the dining hall is located. Food is really good, we only tried dining once outside the resort and once we sampled their ala carte meals we took all our meals with the resort. The bluewater cheeseburger is a favorite. Lechon kawali and adobo rice is a must. Our family enjoyed so much our stay and we will definitely go back to this beautiful resort. Our paradise found!

Awesome place with great rooms and good food”

swimming pool, restaurant, the room, bathroom

My stay in the resort was almost perfect. It was beautiful, complete with all the necessary amenities and the staff were very friendly and really helped us in every little thing that we asked for. They even set-up a romantic dinner by the beach for us and had their chefs prepare the food in front of us. The rooms were spacious and had comfortable beds. The bathroom had a great ambiance to it and I really loved the tub. My only concern with the hotel was that their prices were a bit steep for food and drinks. Thanks to agoda the room prices I got were discounted. Another concern I had was their transportation. Maybe they could invest in a golf cart or multi cab for complimentary transportation for guests as they were offering 350 Pesos for a trip to Alona beach which was 5 mins away. Even a cab in Manila wouldnt charge that much. I would definitely recommend this place and I would like to come back again. I would just bring a lot of money. =)

Spacious rooms and bathrooms, nice big pool

Nice new resort in Panglao. Rooms are spacious, and staff are very friendly, good service. Food is priced quite reasonably. Access to the beach is disappointing. There's no beachfront, just steps leading to the water. There's supposed to be a marine sanctuary right in front of the resort, but the reef has been damaged by typhoons in the past year.

Excellent rooms, food, staff and general location

If you plan on going to Bohol to relax and get good quality service, this hotel is for you. The rooms are clean, just the right size and fully equipped. Checking in and out was very easy. Also, the buffet breakfast selection was pretty decent and you can also have lunch and dinner at their restaurant which serves great food at reasonable prices. I also have to mention there's a free shuttle that takes you to and from the beach, and they can arrange tours for you. Overall great 3 nights here.

Relaxing time in a nice hotel”

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, very nice, large and clean pool, nice and large room and bathroom

We only have two things to critisise: the beach is under construction. At the moment, there is no beach at this hotel!! The sea in front of the hotel is not nice, lots of seagrass, water is not clear. Second, the restaurant is overpriced. The food is average only, but the prices were the highest we had on Panglao. Also, many meals are not available. Breakfast buffet is ok, but for European taste limited variety. But overall, a very nice place if you are looking for relaxation.
