ibis Samui Bophut (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"Switched our stay to the Ibis at last minute after a disappointing experience elsewhere. My young daughter (6 yrs old) likes the Ibis because of the several pools and step down to the beach. We've stayed here before. Rooms are comfortable, check-in is swift, free WIFI, great location near Bo Phut Fisherman's Village. Staff are helpful, and the grounds are well maintained. Only negative is the hotel's breakfast which is a buffet, cold and hot food and cereal, and fruit - not much of a selection of fruit. Also breakfast isn't included in your room rate, which means paying extra, and in this case isn't what I call value for money. There are several local Thai establishments serving up Thai/ Western food though which we made use of the rest of our trip. I would definitely stay at the Ibis again. "

Prana Resorts Samui (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"We have spent 2 weeks in this hotel in Bo Phut and we are very thankful for this beautiful stay in Koh Samui. At the arrival the staff welcomed us with some fresh towels, a drink and some flower bracelets. Also we have really appreciated the support of the staff during our holidays. After the first night, we asked the desk team to find a solution because our room was located at the first floor, in a corridor where the noise of the air-conditioning was disturbing and therefore it was difficult for us to sleep in this room. The staff was really professional and immediately moved us to another room which was located in the other side and more quiet. The room was excellent. It was cleaned on a daily basis, even when we left the room after 2pm. The hotel has 2 fantastic pools, 1 in front of the rooms and another 1 in front of the beach. The whole team of the desk, the cleaning and the breakfast are the most professional, friendly and kind people ever. Thank you a lot !! "

Hansar Samui Resort (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"We stayed at the Hansar Samui for the second half of our Koh Samui vacation in early March 2012. We loved everything about our stay. In fact, the worst part was the fact that we didn't get chocolates at turn-down one night and that we received a letter addressed to "Mr. and Mr." instead of "Mr. and Mrs." Essentially, our stay was perfect. Bo Phut was a great place and the Hansar has the perfect location, a very short walk along cobblestones to the heart of Fisherman's Village, which has great restaurants, cute boutiques, and a variety of other shops. One thing to note, however, is that the beach is not the best. We spent the first half of our vacation in Chaweng, which had very soft sand and perfectly clear water. The water in Bo Phut is not as clear (although it is deeper) and the sand is very coarse. Breakfast was nice, with a large variety of food on the buffet as well as made-to-order western and Thai fare. We ate at H Bistro one night, with high expectations, and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and well worth the splurge. We also enjoyed the numerous happy hours offered by the hotel bar, although one downside is that you must order two of the same drink for the buy one get one free. The infinity pool was gorgeous and both it and the beach were relaxing and comfortable. The room we had was beautiful and very large, with a huge walk-in shower. We really enjoyed the porch and spent many hours sitting there. We also appreciated the inclusion of umbrellas and a beach bag in every room. All in all, we would not hesitate to return and have been recommending this resort to everyone. The facilities are modern, beautiful, and fantastic. It is one of the best places we have ever stayed."

"It was quite resort. Peace resort is best resort in Bo phut area. I've been other areas in Samui but Bo Phut is best as personal opinion. When you check in they will give 3 or 4 coupons. I forget to use 15% discount coupons at restaurant. It suppose to be remind from them. I relised that I didn't use coupons... haha"

The White Cottage
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"I stayed during the start of the monsoon season for a week, so there were times where I felt I was the only occupant in the area. the area was very quiet. the beach is a good 5 minutes away. there is a convenience store and very local restraunt once you walk into the main road (5 min walk distance). the cottage was spacious and very clean, same goes for the bathroom. their laundry service is a bit on the expensive side but they return you very clean smelling clothes. I never tried their breakfast (which they provide all day). the bed provides mosquito nets. the aircon worked well. they provided beach towels in addition to shower towels. overall, great service. not as fancy as all the other hotels/resorts around the area - but for how cheap this place was, it was definitely well worth it. would return again."

Karma Resort (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"The hotel is well located and walking distance to fisherman’s village. Beautiful hotel and lay out incl spacious rooms with very nice decor. Very clean. Good breakfast and very tasty croissants and jam- and breakfast served until 11 am which is great. Staff very friendly. Ideal to relax and feel at home. It would have been perfect - if not for the tv - where one needs a Netflix or prime video own account- so you can’t flick through tv channels. The toiletries did not include body lotion which is a standard in all hotels - even upon request it was not provided although the hotel has a spa. Nevertheless in overall a very nice relaxing weekend. "

Lanna Samui Luxury Resort (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"I'll gladly second all the positive reviews that had led me to book our 4 night stay at the Lanna Samui resort. Great for a relaxing family stay, especially if you are not looking to stay right on the beach and party, whilst it still has easy access to the Bo Phut beach, with its shopping areas/ restaurants. In fact, a plus point for me was that it was also a quick trip to Chaweng through the inner roads, as long as you had a map. The resort has helpful and friendly staff. Reception was open all day, so we had no trouble with the late check-in, extension of our booking, or the odd request or query. The suites we booked were great, very comfortable and clean, and well-equipped for a 4-star hotel. My only gripe - the shower area is not fully enclosed and its impossible not to wet the surrounding floor while using the shower. The house-keeping staff really respected the "Please do not disturb" and "Please make up my room" tabs on the door at all times, and was nice enough to come back and do our rooms unobtrusively and promptly as requested. Breakfast was complimentary, with a decent spread, and a nice a-la-carte menu. The room service menu had variety, and the food we ordered (on two occasions) was delicious. The only trouble we'd had was in locating the hotel when we arrived late at night, because of the poor condition of the main road from the beach, which was under maintenance in the off-peak season. The hotel had put up signage, but this wasn't easy to spot as the streets were far from well-lit; GPS saved the day. This doesn't take away from the hotel, except that it is not located on the beach or directly on one of the main roads of the island. The hotel even offered us a complimentary Thai massage at the spa due to the poor condition of the roads. =) They had set up a temporary spa, as their main spa premises were under renovation for the week. We certainly appreciated the much-needed, expertly-delivered message after our touristy sojourns in Samui."

Villa Labaron
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"Didn't know what to expect, having never been to Thailand before. However after arriving at Villa Labaron on Ko Samui, we were greeted by the very friendly Jay (Manager) who was very accommodating and approachable. The villa was quiet, well maintained, clean, tidy, and scenic. We had the grand room which was at the rear of the setup, closest to the road, however it was just as nice as the larger rooms by the pool. Our room had a beautiful big bed and stylish bathroom which made the stay so much nicer after a long day out and about. If you like to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy area like Fisherman's Village or Chaweng, then stay in Bo Phut here at Villa Labaron. We preferred the quiet setting, while still being very accessible to transport options and other main centres. Would definitely come here again. Highly recommended!"

CELES Beachfront Resort Koh Samui (SHA Plus+)
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"This is a relatively new resort situated in the heart of Bo Phut beach. The place offers all you can ask for: quietness, clean sea, modern design, walkable to the Fisherman night market, and facing-the-sea swimming pool. I'd go back again if I went back to Koh Samui one day. "

The Privilege Hotel Ezra Beach Club
Bo Phut,Bo Phut - View on map
"This was truly the highlight of our Thailand trip, from the moment we checked-in to the rushed checked-out (we were about to miss a ferry to Krabi) everything was top notch. We were made to feel special, offered a room hours before scheduled check-in and all our requests were accommodated with a smile. The owners are personally involved in the management of this place, it's kinda small but just about the right size if you don't like crowds and want a little place you can call your own. The pool is the best part of this hotel and the hotel is designed around it, the views are amazing and the rooms are nicely sized and well maintained. The only downer was the breakfast, they don't serve it at the property, you cross the road to a restaurant which was still okay but the food was avoidable at best and just didn't go with the vibe and experience we had at Privilege, other than that it's all aces. Go there before it becomes too crowded, still a hidden gem but might not be for long. "

More about Bo Phut

On the north coast of Samui, Bo Phut has the island’s most authentic traditional community. As with all the vacation communities on Samui, it also has expansive white-sand beaches. Accommodation in Bo Phut features mainly mid-range hotels with a few posh, upmarket options.

Near the center of Bo Phut coastline, Fisherman Village is the most fascinating part of Bo Phut. It’s the island’s original community, home to well-preserved shop houses, former homes to Chinese merchants who migrated here. It’s been carefully reworked in recent years to add modern restaurants and hotels without detracting from its historic atmosphere. Guests of area hotels come here for dining and evening entertainment.

Aside from Fisherman Village, the biggest attraction is Bo Phut Beach itself. Whether lounging in a deck chair, hiring a yacht from Petcharat Marina or watching the sunset, this is a relaxing place for tourists to spend a day or two. Sunset dining is especially nice in this area. Closer to Choengmon, Samui Crocodile Farm is a popular side trip from the beach.

Accommodation in Bo Phut ranges from basic 2-star hotels to secluded bayside bungalows and luxury resorts. The finest are at the center of this stretch of coastline, where a small peninsula juts into the sea.
