Needs renovation
The room was big enough for my friend and i but it smells musty. I loved the balcony and the bath tub. 😊👍🏻 good costumer service. Location is near the airport.

Great location and relaxing retreat
Staying in the old city made getting around very easy - usually by walking or tuk tuk. The food scene was also great in the old city. A fairly small doorway in a street side wall was the entry into the grounds which were beautiful and serene - thus the name. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Excellent and relaxed atmosphere
Will recommend this hotel anytime as a returning guest now for more than four years travelling alone and with family, very quiet and relaxing place with walking distance to most things, feels like a luxury retreat without being formal in any way, only place to stay if you ask me.

Spacious room and great location
We stayed here for two nights and we had a wonderful time here. Although we didn't request for the airport transfer but when we did enquire it was very reasonable. Staff is very nice and helpful. We stayed in the Deluxe room and it was spacious and clean. Location was perfect, in walking distance from Sunday walking street. All in all, it was value for money.

Worth to go except the pool was renovation
We thought the pool is kind of open area, because we don't like to have trees and building blocking the blue sky, therefore we booked here. But too bad it was under renovation, they have another mini pool, for me is better than nothing but really mini which allow one person to swim only. Location is ok while within Old Town area, close to the Sunday market area. Room is clean except the bathroom tile on wall is a bit old. But overall we think this price for this hotel is good deal. Will consider to come back

Quiet gem in great location
My mum and I visited Chiang Mai in June and The Bodhi Serene Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. A good sized quiet hotel in the Old City close enough to walk around and to the markets. Breakfast was great, lots of options from western to asian food. Loads of restaurants close the hotel for other meals also. A great vegetarian place nearby on the road perpendicular (turn right outside the hotel then right at the first intersection to walks towards the markets, about 50m down is a the vegetarian place). We stayed in the one bedroom suite which was huge and had a nice kitchen and great bathroom. The hotel has two pools. One completely in the shade and very small. The rooftop pool looked amazing and was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. However, it was under maintenance when we stayed in June and we weren't able to use it. If would have been nice to know that when we booked as we would probably chosen somewhere else just for the pool. Being hot and sticky after trekking around all day, all we wanted to do in the afternoons was swim and read a book by the pool. Airport transfers were inexpensive and efficient (250 baht for pick up and 150 baht for drop off). Check in/out was seamless and efficient. The travel advisory was excellent (Tin). She gave us all the info for things to do in the area and gave good suggestions. Her recommendations were genuine (no affiliations or throwbacks for the services she recommended us to use) and she made all the bookings for us. We didn't have to do anything but tell her what we wanted to do. Overall, our stay here was great and we would definitely stay here again. Though I would double check the pool was available first!
