Mosquitoes from the 4th dimension, rude staff”
Pros: nice market near, local neighborhood, a bed (i was sleeping in a tent for 10 days before this) Cons: -really hard to find -you are not THAT much closer to the airport -approximately 1 milion mosquitoes in the room. Where did they come from i can nit fathom as the windows were screened. -clean but not in corners or behind things -receptionist was really rude and just ignored me instead of simply saying 'no, sorry', i left frustrated and angry -their airport transfer is a rip off at 5 usd

OMG! End of the world!”
One night, because next day we had fly to Malaysia and this place is near by airport. disgusting neighborhood with stinky market. Nothing to see, nothing to eat, unkind people. You better buy something to eat and close yourself in room. Believe me this is the best option. Guesthouse was ok. Clean and big room, but no fresh air. Windows on strange little lock yard. I don't like whole city and to be honest whole Cambodia, so up to you which guesthouse you pick up.

Good value ”
Pros: Spacious room with hot shower, bottled water and flat screen tv for good price. The staff were friendly enough too. Cons: The Agoda listing advertised , mosquito net , desk among other things that we're included in the room. This seems to be a regular issue with Agoda since they don't seem to enforce accurate listings. The area isn't great from a tourist perspective but if you have any reason to be there then I would recommend it.

Quiet neighbourhood guesthouse”
The neighbourhood streets surrounding the guesthouse are clean and easy to walk about, plenty of pharmacies, low key cafes (you have to ask if meals are available), family shops (cheap and tasty Cambodian beer), hair salons and laundry outlets and the locals are friendly though you do cop the odd stare. The market is five minutes away and the main road (a couple of hundred metres away again) taking you south to Russian Blvde. (where you can get snails pace buses to town for 1500 riel (40 cents), anywhere from 45 mins to 75 mins. at peak hour, make sure you have the correct fare). Avoid walking the main road next to the market unless you wish to dance with the traffic and breathe in dust. A tuk-tuk should get you from the market/main road to Russian Blvde.for $1.50 (no more than $2). As for the guesthouse, it is a quiet and simple establishment. The staff are polite and the bed and fan room (cool as) are comfortable and the wi-fi is reliable. Though far from town it is handy being close to the airport, but good value nevertheless.

Excellent guest house for staying at Phnom Penh.”
Good location as it was a point between Phnom Penh Airport and Phnom Penh city. Friendly staff, cool place, and the most important is... it is big enough and clean !

Boeung Chhouk is okay”
Good location for airport, friendly staff. Room was adequate and fair for the price. The actual hotel is difficult to find though, don't expect the average city tuk tuk driver to know where it is and it is not well signed either...

Distorted reviews”
We wanted a place to easily stay for cheap to experience the city, but this is very far from any action. No tuktuks at night (around 9pm we couldn't go anywhere). Positively, it was very quiet and staff are very kind. Rooms not facing the street can be dank and depressing.

Great VFM”
Closer to the airport. Great VFM. Brand new place, nice room and washroom. Included bottled water, which was great given it was so hot. Would definitely recommend to co-travellers.
