Bohol bee farm was recommended by my cousin, and I thought it was just great! If you like nature and can appreciate the outdoors, open, rustic concept, you'll love this place. So expect outdoor bugs, roosters and stray dogs and cats on the property. You won't notice them when you're taking in the ocean view from your room (stayed in the baclayon room) or from the restaurant eating your buffet breakfast (included in your stay). Try all the ice cream flavours you can, including the malungay flavour. They're all so creamy and delicious! They also have a free shuttle going to Alona beach. They were kind enough to drop us at Bohol Beach Club during one of their shuttle trips over to alona beach. My family was such in a rush in the morning to catch the shuttle my mom mentioned we didn't have breakfast, one of the staff, her name escapes me, but she ran over and had someone pack us our breakfast to-go!!! Everyone there is super friendly, and the customer service was just superb. I love loved my stay there. Everything is pretty much organic from the food to the building, walkway structure- coconut shell. Must try: cassava lumpia, cassava chips with mango and some sort of green dip. We were fortunate enough to get the dinner special which came with a bit of everything- pasta, salad, lumpia, roasted chicken, ice cream, chips and dip.. Come stay at the Bohol Bee Farm! It's on Panglao island, so it's about 45 minutes from the pier and two hours from the chocolate hills - but I didn't really find the chocolate hills breathtaking. But if you end up going to the hills, they have ATV-ing which may be worth going for. Didn't try it myself but if you're going, plan that. It's just a tourist stop to take pictures that's it. Anyway, GO TO THE BEE FARM.
Best place to stay ever!!”
i love the bee farm!! i cam to visit bohol a few months ago, and returned again just last week and i knew i wanted to stay at the bee farm. they are a bit far from alona beach but there are tricycles that hang out close by so it's no problem getting around. they have delicious food here too, most grown sustainably and organically either on the farm or in one of the local communities that that farm works with. they will show you their bees and you can even hold a tray of them! they have a fun little store where they sell honey, bread, jam, and other. locally made souvenirs, in my opinion the best place to shop on panglao island!! sayed in the loboc room and it's was sooo cool with the coconut shell walls and the locally made raffia. curtains. i love the bee farm!
I did not make a mistake in selecting Bohol Bee Farm as a place to stay during our trip in Bohol. The place is perfect for family and relaxation. I'd love th food because it is organic and the farm grows the vegetables and other green organic within their backyard. The breakfast is really good, I am always full after breakfast. The staff is approachable and they accommodate your concern. They know how to make customer happy. I went to their bar at 7PM and Raymond is playing Frank Sinatra which is perfect on a place like Bee Farm from the city noise. The bar tender offered me drinks like Screwdriver and Long Island, which is perfect and the mix is great. I went to their "Hilot" place late 5pm and I thought that they cannot accommodate me because it was late and yet they scheduled me at 7PM for their massage special. Kudos to Bohol Bee Farm for making our experience with my family at your facility a great one. Thank you very much.
Generous hotel with friendly staff & awesome view”
this was my second stay at bohol bee farm and my 3rd at bohol. bee farm offers free shuttle service to and from the airport. the staff are very polite and accommodating. we initially booked a garden bungalow room but then we were upgraded to one of their newest rooms at kinabuhing bohol rooms (carmen room) with a spectacular view of the sea. their organic food is a bit pricey but every meal is delicious, solo servings can be shared by 2 people, and everything's healthy. good thing you can have a taste of some of their organic food as they serve free buffet breakfast for their guests. my favorites are cassava lumpia (their version of fresh lumpia), cheese pizza and organic salad (flower petals are edible!). they're also famous for their ice cream on a cassava cone. last year it costs p60 for 2 scoops but now they're charging p80. malunggay is their bestseller but my favorites are banana, buko, chocolate and mango. if you want some quiet time around the hotel, you can opt to stay at the cliff deck - a must see spot open only for guests.
We spent (unfortunately) only one night at Bohol Bee Farm. The area is amazing, still very close to all the attractions and services of Panglao but secluded and quiet enough to relax and get away from the madness of the the super touristy spots. The hotel is really nice, immersed in the nature, with super clean, spacious and tastefully furnished rooms, AC, well-working WiFi, hot water, restaurant/bar with really good food, a great shop and the best (home-made) icecream in the Philippines! We had probably the best room in the whole hotel, huge, with a fantastic bathroom, balcony and ocean view. The staff is reaaally kind and helpful and can arrange all sorts of tours and services for you. One highlight of our stay was definitely the free farm tour, very interesting and useful to understand eco-tourism done at its best. Pity we couldn't stay longer.
Bee Farm Resort”
We love our stay at Bee Farm Resort! Booked 2 nights bungalow for our stay but pleasantly upgaded to seaview room (panglao room). The view was very relaxing. Our kids enjoyed it so much. We decided to extend for another night and was transfered to Dauis room because Panglao room was already booked for that date. Dauis room is also big and clean with partial seaview. But the wifi connection is much stronger in Panglao room. If planning to stay here better buy some foods before going here because the supermarket was very far. Roundtrip tricyle fare from Bee farm to Citi mall cost 300 to 400 pesos. The Dumaluan beach is also near Bee farm, we ride tricyle to go there. The staff are all kind, the resort are very clean. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to bohol.
A wonderful experience”
I stayed just one night at Bohol Bee Farm but came back again and again just to eat at their amazing restaurant. It was the best dining experience I'd had in some time, and certainly the best one in the Philippines. Bohol Bee Farm is really more of a resort than a hotel. The grounds are quite large, there are multiple dining areas, shops, outdoor jacuzzi tubs, a tour ceneter, access to the sea for swimming, and more. The overall design of the resort is rustic, but attractive and comfortable. The shops sell the usual assortment of souvenirs, but also sell a legion of products made by Bohol Bee Farm, mostly snacks and condiments, and of course their own delicious ice cream in some surprising flavours. My room was a Garden Bungalow, which is in a new building off to the side. The rooms on the upper floors have sea views which must be wonderful, but unfortunately my room was on the ground floor. Inside, the room is large and would be reasonably comforable for up to three people. It's not a luxury room but is quite decent for the price. I booked a snorkelling tour through the resort's office and it was a great tour, and suprisingly inexpensive considereing it was a private tour (just me, the boat captain, and his assistant). There I experienced some of the best snorkelling I've had in quite some time. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I was unable to experience breakfast at the hotel as my tour left at around 6 am, before breakfast opened for the day. But the staff on hand were kind enough to make fresh coffee for me. On the downside, the secluded location of the resort makes it a somewhat inconvenient home base for exploring the island unless you have your own transportation. Bohol Bee Farm was one of the highlights of my trip to Bohol and I would certainly recommend it to anyone to stay at least one night.
Great place, great food, great nature and value!”
i really enjoyed my 3 day stay at the bohol bee farm. the staff was very friendly and helpful. i was picked up promptly by a driver upon my arrival and quickly taken to the resort. the ladies at the check in were a little confused about the pickup and i ended up in a different room but it was still a nice room with a good view and a porch. but the best thing about the resort( aside from the beautiful nature, great weather and kind staff ) is the food! everything is grown right on the resort and everything is fresh and delicious! it is a prime example of sustainable farming and the organic vegetables and herbs grown at the location and served in your meals were definitely worth the trip. the beach wasn't as great, but a short bike ride away (15 minutes tops) you can go to the bohol beach club for $8, and five of those dollars go towards your food/drink choices. there you can experience a beautiful white sand and clear water beach. the best part is that its nearly empty. imagine phuket without all the tourists! i was very satisfied with my stay at the bohol bee farm and i hope you will be too.
Value for money!”
Bohol Bee Farm is awesome. These were my experiences 1. Natuire lanscape 2. support to local craftmanship- highly appreciated 3. organic food! 4. superb tasting food 5. awesome view from the restaurant 6. nice cliff side beach. 7.superb and freindly staff 8. nice souvenir shop 9. nice outdoor jacuzzi 10.get to meet indigenous animals, and birds. my baby love it- the giant lizard! and myna bird. 11. great tasting food in the sea side restaurant 12. awesome sunset and sunrise 13 the upgrade is highly appreciated!!! for improvement make the icecream 2 scoop cheaper, not same prize as buying 2 individual scoop and cone signage is not clear, sometime I get lost going to different places. 3. make the reception area bigger 4. place a trellis of plants in the main grocery area. to offer a natural shade for guests 5. have more PWD friendly ramps, no ramps for couples with stroller. 6. have free drop off pick up point to alona beach 7. have a, area to buy the organic veggies and their correspondingprice 8. the bohol bee farm tour should be free for inhouse guests 9. make some activities for children (like in bellevue) fish feeding or bird feeding-
Bohol Bee Farm made our trip very memorable... would definitely be back. So eager to recommend this to friends and family. if you want a very relaxing place, yet get the best of everything, then this is the place to go. Rooms/Cottages are very spacious, very clean, very comfortable and well-designed. You can swim at the cliff-side beach too (water is neck-high during high tide). Ideal for snorkling and diving. You can relax at their jacuzzis late afternoon til evening. enjoy a short tour within the farm where ul see all healthy and edible plants and bees. Food? You'd love this place. No wonder why their restaurants are fully-booked during lunchtime. Garden fresh and organic salad (with edible flower petals) .. a must try. if you're not into garden salad, then enjoy their regular platter buffet with baked spareribs and honeyglazed chicken. They also have the seafood platter. Breakfast buffet is served for those who stay overnight. Baked products also available (must try the squash muffin)... various honey products and spreads are also for sale. Healthy ice cream!!! (must try). you can choose malunggay flavor, spicy ginger, durian, and many more.
An attraction in itself”
Traveled to Bohol with my sister. We enjoyed the Bee Farm. I am really thankful that I booked this place to stay. The place is more than an accommodation, it is a tourist attraction in itself. Two nights were not enough. Great food and amazing service from its staff members. They have a spa, and an in-house tour operator that provides options with reasonable prices. Highly recommended place to stay in Panglao Island when visiting Bohol.
Wonderful place!!! ”
Bohol Bee Farm is a very wonderful place and not only for the rooms. A visit worth the trip! They also sell their natural and handmade products in their shop, and you can also see how they make some of their products. The restaurant is very good such as the organization of the tours around the islands or in the countryside. Wonderful experience visiting Pamilacan Island and also seen the dolphins. There is a special atmosphere at Bohol Bee Farm! I definitely advise to make a visit but also to sleep there during your journey in the Philippines.
we enjoyed the homey feel of the bohol bee farm. although bbf was a tourist spot by itself (with farm tours and several tour groups daily), the layout and vegetation around the bbf allowed us to enjoy our privacy. all the staff were very friendly - from drivers, guides, dining/office/store staff. they immeditatly assisted us in getting roundtrip ferry tickets when we decided to go for a day trip to the island of cebu. food was always a happy adventure - interesting dishes made from fresh ingredients. we ventured one night to dine at another beach area (alona beach) but after only finding usual grilled fare, we ended up going back to bbf to try their other dishes.
Resort hotel living in the time of COVID-19”
The Bohol Province is just starting to open up again for tourists to bring back the economic momentum it has lost almost throughout this memorable 2020. The Bohol Bee Farm Hotel is a happy place for family who want a quiet place with a secluded beach cove, quaint and rustic accommodations, and yummy healthy food treats. Sadly for now the crowd is missed, together with a fully stocked ice cream parlor, cafe bar, bakery, and other pasalubong goodies. One day soon, I hope, the joyful mood of this unique Bohol experience will be ALIVE again...one day...
Good hotel with great food”
The Bohol Bee Farm Hotel is a nice choice if you are staying on Panglao island. It provides the opportunity for an unique experience; something different from an ordinary holiday. The staff are incredibly friendly and your stay includes a tour of the farm and a chance to hold the bees! The restaurant serves delicious food although the ingredients are limited. If you are staying more than a couple days you may want to have the odd meal outside the hotel. There is also a shop on site that sells many interesting products.
We are adventure seeking Canadian family, when we travel we always look for local accommodation, somehow we were referred "word of mouth" to book at the Bee Farm Resort, indeed we were not wrong, this resort has an out of this world accommodation, the food was darn outstanding, you can feel the ambiance of countryside living and the experience of touring Bohol was simple amazing. Being a photographer I was able to document what we experienced and also had the chance to meet the owner, Vicky shared how the resort started with mere 4 employees, what captured our attention was they grow and make their own food, create their own handicraft and employ more than 500 locals. It was almost perfect until we smell cigarette smoke which almost ruined the atmosphere, my family agreed to write our feedback if they can ban smoking inside the resort. Other than that the stay was simply amazing, we highly recommend Bee farm resort to the world!
Charming hotel set in a fantastic location”
I didn't know what to expect when I finally arrived at Bohol Bee Farm. The journey to get there from the pier was long and I was pestered by pushy taxi drivers. But once I arrived, the hassle was worth it. What a property! I felt like I arrived in a village. There were herb gardens, vegetable gardens, flower gardens. My room was actually a bangalow. It felt like a mini house. During my stay, I was able to explore and discover the library house, the arts and crafts huts, the massage huts, the bicycles, and many other delights. The property sits on top of a cliff, but you can walk down to the hotel boat dock and go snorkeling or just sit by the water. Fantastic. I will definitely go back!
Spacious rooms, exquisite food & warm service”
We are a family of six and we all enjoyed our stay in Bohol Bee Farm! Our older children enjoyed playing a game of table tennis while the younger one loved staying in a hammock under the shady trees. The BBF rooms are spacious and thoughtfully furnished. The bathroom is spacious too and provided with organic soap and shampoo. For the meals, there were plenty of delicious food to choose from from their menu. The seafood pizza we had was yummy! The malunggay (moringga) ice cream is soo good! The fruit juices and ice-blended coffee too! As it is located on a cliff, BBF does not have a beach. But what BBF lacks in beach, it made up with the breath-taking view of the clear, turquiose-colored sea which you can actually swim in going down their small private port. The sand is powdery white and soft. It was a real value-for-money, wonderful experience for me and my family!
Rustic, Natural, & exceptionally managed.”
We loved our stay @ the Bohol Bee Farm! There are so many pros to staying here: great food, service, price, scenery, location, the list goes on and on. A few cons: bug bites happen here, either accept it or use bug spray. There are ants all around the lodgings, they don't bite at all & aren't a problem. No beach; it is on a cliff and you can take some stairs down to the water. There are beaches close by (about a 10-15 minute tricycle ride). There were no bees:( apparently the queen bee left before we arrived, but there is no shortage of honey!!
This is a great hotel for the money”
Our stay at the Bohol Bee Farm Hotel was totally enjoyable. It was above my expectations. Nice staff, large clean rooms with a great design. It is not by a beach but it has a great view of the sea and a wonderful. The food is great although a little high for the region. It has many pools and great gardens. The have a free shuttle to the airport when you leave and about the only thing that there was lacking was it is not close to the beach.
