An old luxary hotel, its OK. ”
It was many years ago since this was a lovely hotel but now the hotel is old and have it marks. Clean room but very simple rooms. Pool are is good. Food is really bad and sadly this is far away from every restaurants. Dont stay for more than 3 nights!!! Staff is OK but they have not been educated in how to take care of customers, speically when it comes to the restaurant. But for a cheap price its totally worth to go there and chill a few days.

Ask Questions”
No communication at all about the facility. No internet in room, no coffee in the room, no clean water, we were three people we had one towel per personin the room, the room would only be cleaned if the guest requested it but we did not know that that was the policy and the room was not cleaned when we .arrived but most of all no communications. I had to ask about all the above to find out what is included in the room. On the other hand, the view and location are one of the most beautiful in all of Bohol. Low price but the price is disappointing relating to the facility amenities.

Nice view but nothing else”
Old furnished, middle of nowhere, small food, no WiFi in the rooms. The only good thing is the view.

disappointed returning guests ”
Having stayed at the Bohol Plaza some ten years ago we were looking forward to returning again. We had a great experience last time so had no hesitation we booked it for Christmas 2018. How disappointed were we? Ok its still the same great location with lovely peaceful gardens and the favoulos view, but this time it seems like the staff were not so interested and not attentive. The food were very poor and the level of clineliness and care have reduced dramatically compared with before. Suffice to say we were extremely disappointed and we wont be returning in the future.

Good view, too far from downtown”
Going to and from to this place is expensive, the free shuttle is for walk in only as per receptionist when i asked about a shuttle. The view on top is awesome but you also need to go out and very difficult to do so

Average hotel”
The view of the location is great! However there is nothing near by the hotel which makes it boring (the hotel is up a big hill). The room that we got was pretty run down, not very clean. The elevator was not working properly when we were there, the staff needed to help you use the elevator. However the pool was good, free breakfast was good too! The restaurant at the hotel was very great! The staff were super friendly and accommodating !

Empty inside, beautiful from the outside”
This place could be so much more. This place has a beautiful view, an amazing swimming pool and friendly staff. Rooms has NO WiFi. Cleaning/towel change doesn’t happen unless you request, and there’s no water heater, tv signal or cold fridge for self-bought waters. Breakfast is not something you wake up excited about. I’d skip it. You need a transportation (bike, car or driver) to get in and out from there.

EXTREMELY FAR”
+ Incredibly amazing view + great pool + friendly staff - extremely far from everything - not clean at all This hotel really has a breathtaking view specially if you’re just someone to relax and not do any tour whatsoever. BUT, if you’d like to visit the beach, stroll around Bohol. I do not recommend this place as your expenses will triple up due to transportation as this hotel is far far far away and up the mountain.

Not worth the money!”
ROOM: (cottage) CONS: - bathtub had no plug. - toilet system broken, had to keep removing lid to push float down to fill reservoir. - only 1 working plug socket - old fashioned. PROS: - spacious - beautiful view of sea BREAKFAST: CONS: - set menu, only rice or bread on each choice, some items not available. - quality was mediocre. - asked reception for room service of the breakfast, was told there is a delivery charge of 40 peso per plate (our room was only 50 meters away from reception) - definitely a money making SCAM! PROS: - it was hot..... RESORT: the resort is old fashioned, out dated and definitely needs updating and modernizing, the pool is okay but definitely needed cleaning. I wouldn't recommend this resort if you're looking for quality, one night cost us 3,000 peso which is definitely too much considering the poor outdated quality of the resort and sub standard food.

room was horrible and under repair”
They gave me an old under repair room for the price I paid, at least they could gave me a descent room and I know they weren't many guests because of corona virus going on. At first the staff gave the key and then came back to me and switch the key it was horrible service. The shower wasn't working, the towels were very old ragged and smelled, and bed sheet weren't washed for months and stained. When I checked out staff didn't ask how my stay was eventho for only short period of time I just wasn't happy with over all rating. I should not even put one star but it won't let you submit the review if I don't hit a star shouldn't get no star at all. Sorry but speaking form my experience it was horrible Have a blessed day!

not worth the money at all”
The elevator is not working at all. The service staff are totally very slow. The room smells like a poop. They do not have toothbrush and slippers provided. They do not have cup & kettle for hotwater. Bees flying in the room.

Holiday stay”
Friendly hotel with nice pool. Needs hot water in all rooms and aircon is too loud which keeps you awake. Moved room which did give hot water but aircon still loud. Clean but needs small touches such as mastic around the bath etc. Great value though and clean.

Too bad once you get there”
Its like with many things in Phil - the idea is good, but noone cares about the details. Good things: the view is amazing and the huts are spacious Bad things: to start, if you are not ready to do around 100 stairs each day in Phil heat dont even think about this place. each hut is on a platform so you can not avoid stairs. Breakfast is just rice, one egg, unidentified meat and nescafe. if you do not have rented car or scooter this place ia really far away from anything. Old loud airconditioning that blows in your face.

Worst hotel we've ever stayed in”
This hotel is a nightmare. I don't understand how it garnered such great reviews and earned its rating. The hotel has seen better days. It's falling apart and there were barely any customers other than a handful of folks there for an event. The rooms are filthy. We had to change rooms due to lizard/bug poop on the bedding and next to the bed. Changing rooms was also an ordeal. Took about 45 minutes to change rooms because they needed to clean another room for us. With so many empty rooms, they didn't s single clean room available. The new room was just a little less dirty than the 1st. Due to my partner being sick, we just decided to just stay and leave the next morning. Their native restaurant was closed so we ate at the cafe, what a disappointment. Burnt Lechon kawali and strange interpretation of sinigang baboy. And they didn't have a single chili when we asked. What kind of Filipino restaurant doesn't have the staples? Anyway, this review might sound overly harsh, but I just want to save other couples time and money. For the same price you can stay near Alona in a hotel with better facilities.
