Our room, i was told, was among the old ones in the resort. And it showed. The furnishings were clearly outdated. But i loved that they had a sewing kit. Although the view was beautiful, it was off-putting to be subject to the stink of the seashore while having breakfast. So, just get a seat away from the shore. Breakfast options on the second day was way better than the first. It’s good that they have a very helpful staff.
Good clean room, nice pool. Nice restaurant area but food was poor. The breakfast was not as varied as the menu described. My partner requested a fried egg but was to be charged 15 peso, even though it was offered on the menu
Nice hotel hard beds ”
Stayed here a night as the ferry cancelled the room was spacious but a bit bare and tiled floor so some slippers would have been good. Very hard bed i didn't get a good nights sleep really and the food was very ordinary as well as the internet. One night was enough
Doors and windows not soundproof
Not worth the money”
Not a good choice. First of all: the room was Nice and big. Beds very, very comfy and a giant Bathroom. Those were the only pluspoints. There was one pool closed. The facilities at the other pool and common area were poor. Dirty toilets, No towels and the sun beds were broken. The restaurant was very average, not to say poor. The salads were swimming in oil, the sandwiches were 4 cm big and the Chicken in my curry wasn't meat: it was bones and pure fat (and I am used to the Asian Chicken standards). But breakfast was the worst. It was only asian breakfast, Nothing more. For people wanting something else than fish heads and rice for breakfast, don t Bother. The one dish (eggs) that is viable for breakfast was empty all the time. The hotel was fully booked and the hotel didn't bother to 'guide' the people through the breakfast. There was chaos and the atmosphere was terrible, very loud. People from all over town were coming for breakfast.. 80 USD for this.... not worth it.
Very nice place!”
Very spacious property, close to the seaport. Courteous, well trained staff. Decent breakfast buffet included with the room rate. When we told the front desk staff that our trip back to cebu was at 7 am, they had our breakfast for the day we checked out packed for later when we were already on board our sea craft. Pick up from and drop off at the seaport were also complimentary. Will definitely stay here next time we’re in Tagbilaran!
Nice place. ”
The outside has been updated but the beds and furniture need replacement. Desk staff needs improvement. Gave me the wrong room, had to move again. Breakfast is minimum buffet. I liked the previous way where you ordered off the menu.
As we were tourists to the area, we would have appreciated the staff being a little more knowledgeable about the ferry (would have missed getting out on Jan 2 if we had listened, to staff saying that you can just walk up and get a ticket—they never sell out), tours and sites to see and what we might do on New Years’s Eve for example. We also wondered why the hotel didn’t run the evening entertainment to midnight on New Year’s Eve. We did have a lovely large room at the front, but would have found the nightly entertainment which goes to 11 very loud if we wanted to sleep early. The breakfast was not very appealing—in fact only used our breakfast chits for the first day. We really like Just Sizzling and it’s sister restaurant Tamper great food options that were a relatively short trike ride away.
Not even 1 star, worst expereinced”
On first day, no hot water flowing on the shower. Called reception multiple time until I ended up asking to move us on another room Breakfast - they know how many guests were checked-in but the buffet food are keep on running out. Foods, plate, drinks and glasses emptied. House keeping - I even need to remind them that they are supposed to clean the room everyday. Terrible experience not even recommending this resort
Staff were nice, location is close to the airport and i like that they offer shuttle service from and to the airport
Perfect spot to explore Tagbilaran ”
Hotel is within the city which is perfect for us to have our own exploration to find pasalubong or go get food if we are wanting something different. Room service is excellent and very prompt. Airport shuttle and port pick up is available.
Awesome place to stay ”
The facilities are clean, everything is well organized, easy check-in and check-out, staff was always courteous and professional, supplies for the room were refreshed often, great room service, restaurant had a good variety of great tasting food, credit cards accepted and everything can be added to your room and paid for on check-out. There only a couple of negative things but one is due to renovation, the walk way was muddy in that section and that is the path to the restaurant. The other thing is long waiting time for the meals because the kitchen is located beneath the restaurant.
Kids love the pool”
The room was spacious enough for four people. We requested for an extra bed upon booking and it was ready when we checked in. The pool was clean and well maintained. Glad that the management did renovations as most rooms and facilities were already outdated when we last visited a few years ago.
The hotel is very close to the pier.Have a free car to send us to the pier. The staff is very nice.
This hotel is about five minutes walk from the ferry terminal so it’s ideal for a short stay .You can see the terminal from the hotel so the view in one direction is not the best.
Pros: Big room, nice location (tagbilaran proper), accessible by trike and jeep Cons: Too far from the new Panglao-Bohol Airport, (try other hotel in panglao), average breakfast buffet, room wifi signal is very weak,
Worst value for money of everywhere we stayed.”
Big clean room, but awful smell The room was large and clean, but it had an awful smell of dust and lingering petrol (from the nearby fuel depo I expect) that gave me headach and made my nose extremely bunged up for the first 2 days. I mentioned this on checkin and asked if housekeeping could go and spray something which maybe helped. Super easy and convenient location Free shuttle from/to the port, which is a 10minute walk away. Lots of tricycle taxis going past. We hired a moped for 2 days from security which was super convenient. Awful music There was a duet performing every night 7-11pm in the bar This was fine when you were there and was a nice tough and added to the atmosphere. But they were very loud and we could still hear them in our room. The songs are repetitive after 4 days. Poor breakfast One egg dish, 2 meat/fish dishes, 2 rice, bread, and watermelon full of ants Pools Three lovely pools but nowhere to sit. Lots of kids and shallow pools so cant swim
Good location, staff needs training”
Good size, clean rooms, none of the several rooms we booked had the same configuration. Policy requiring security deposit of 1000 per room upon check in was unacceptable when we already paid in advance for 4 rooms for 3 nights. Reception staff gave one of the rooms to guests without requiring identification which is unacceptable in any hotel. Nice pools. Efficient airport transfers. Good location.
Staff was very accomodating. Kids enjoyed their 2ft. pool and food is good. They NEED to improve on their A/C which is quite outdated. We had to request for our A/C to be replaced since the room was quite hot with the temp already at the lowest setting.
Last May 2, 2018 i check in at around 5pm in Bohol Tropics Hotel with my sister and 3 nephews aged 7, 3 and 1 at room 315 level 2. Considering the age of my nephews they will tend to play around inside the room. After an hour of checking in around 6pm we recieved call from front desk to keep the children quiet as requested by the lower floor. I understood their concern about children running and jumping above their room. But considering it’s still very early at 6pm and not even time for sleeping, the guest below should at least understand the situation. We are guest also and paying for the room per heads. Children are children, they can’t stay put for few minutes. I’m very disappointed with the hotel staff that instead of finding what’s the best for the 2 guests, they keep on calling my room. I was fed up and check out from the hotel vicinity right away @ 7:30pm. I am actually a regular customer with my nephews and this is my first time encountering this problem. I can understand the ground floor guests if my nephews are playing between 9 or 10 pm in the evening. Just hoping hotel management can do something with this situation.
