Our short vacation in Bohol became more memorable because of Bolod Beach Resort. The cabin room is big yet very affordable. The beautiful Panglao beach is right outside the room. They have no restaurant but there are several options just a few minutes walk away from the resort. The staff is very commendable. I will definitely stay here again once I return to Bohol.

We like the place since its near the beachfront and not crowded. We like the quiet ambiance. Staff are very helpful. You can cook ur own meal which is practical if you are in a budget. We are satisfied w/ our 3 days stay.

Nice and peaceful place that let's you enjoy the white sand beach without breaking the bank. Not much inside the rooms but it was clean, quiet, and cozy. Staff working at the reception and small convenience store was friendly and accommodating, and I would have given a 5-star rating if not for the staff who called us to come back, couple of minutes after we left, because a TV remote control is missing. Only to find out later that it was just hidden behind the pillow. Should have thoroughly looked in the empty room before troubling guests. Anyway, still an overall great stay and would highly recommend this place to others.

Great bungalows, very good location, good conditions and nice staff”
Very nice bungalows! They are clean, toilet is ok and there is hot water and AC. The conditions are moderate but I think it's worth the price. The location is great, 50m or less to the beautiful Beach. However you can't get there directly with a tricycle because the road is too rough at some place. Breakfast are "filipinian style" so you get eggs, ham, bread or rice and fruits, they are ok. The Staff is very kind and helpful! There is a small store in the resort. You can borrow a motorbike at Bolod. Panglao is a lovely place to see and Bolod is a nice place to stay. I recommend this place to stay.

Tranquil vacation”
Expect to pay P25 entrance fee from Dumaluan Beach Resort. That is the only way to go to Bolod Beach. It is quite a walk away from the resort but I don't mind as I love walking and the beach, the shoreline is so majestic. The clouds reflect on the sea like it was in heaven. The sand is powdery white. The breakfast is also great. I just need to go to the mini store/their reception area - ask for the breakfast and they will serve it. I really do have a nice and peaceful vacation in this tranquil place.

Small beach cabin”
The location makes it! The room itself was nothing special, but it's right on the beach, alongside several other (and larger) resorts. The other people I met staying there were from other parts of the Philippines (which I consider a good sign). The staff did not necessarily speak English, and so far as I could tell, lived on site. In the evening, there were usually a few people sitting in the open eating pavilion. Quiet, nice.

Pros: its very close to the beach. Staffs were nice, special mention to Helen of the front desk. Cons: it wasn't that easy to locate. The road going to the resort is not passable by a car or even a tricycle. I must say, we enjoyed our stay.

Away in Panglao”
I'm typically the crowd avoiding type of person, so location-wise, the place is perfect. I opted away from the famous Alona Beach as this is surely a crowded place. Being a little secluded, going to Bolod Beach Resort is quite challenging. Google Maps also had a hard time with the route and we needed to be fetched by the staff from a certain point because the road is not suitable for cars. Given the difficulty of reaching Bolod Beach Resort, it gave us the peaceful vacation we all wanted. Less crowd, best beach. The staff are really hospitable. Nothing fancy in the resort - I just needed a place to sleep close to the beach because during daytime, I'm at the shore. Our accommodation included free breakfast, which is kinda okay, but can be improved.

WIFI Access cannot reach the accommodation, no restaurant provided in the area we still need to go to other establishment to eat our lunch and dinner. During our tour and needs to be pick up staff are not replying on our call and text what we did is to walk from the pick up point to the hotel. No other choice of free breakfast during our stay three days stay the breakfast are always the same. Other staff in the Resort are accommodating on our request. Resort should already resolve the right of way that is more accessible to the resort. Needs more improvement on the resort to gain more customer.

Hotel is located at the back of dubay, it's not really on the beachfront area. ”
Family room is modest, aircon is working properly, but the bathroom has stinky smell that we noticed it right away after checking in.towels are already old and no housekeeping on our 3days 2night stay. Breakfast is the same for two days, no variety.Road to hotel is very steep and rough. we have atleast a 10 minute walk to get to to the hotel which is not okay because we have to carry my one year old baby plus our baggage. Overall, I would not recommend this to travellers with small children.

Thank you for your review. This could really help for our services to improve. Rest assured that we have acted upon your concerns accordingly. We would just like to clarify that for housekeeping staff to do room cleaning services, it is scheduled every 3rd night stay or more. But, our staff are always ready to do a room make up on your 1st or 2nd night of stay if requested. Bolod Beach Resort is also at the beach front alongside dubay. Those picnic huts and few rooms for rent are part of our area. It just so happened that for the compliance of the government policy regarding the 20m salvage zone, some of our accommodations (especially family and cabin-type) were situated few meters away from the shoreline. Our direct access road was temporarily blocked by a private individual and our fight for our right of way is still in court. That is why we are temporarily using another access road. But we have available transpo to fetch you from our drop-off are so you do not need to be worrying a

Pros: cheap single cottage stay on the beach, they checked us in even very late Cons: no possible to find, no relax area on the beach, I have asked to help kittens which were trapped on the roof - no willingness to help - they probably died there, they helped to organize snorkeling trip which was at the end doubled the price they advised, there was a dog with wire around the neck in the next hotel crying from pain, nobody cares, very bad experience overall

You will walk a long way”
There is no direct access by taxi to this hotel. We walked about 1km down the beach carrying our suitcases (not so easy in the sand). I elected to pay at the hotel. There was no mention on the Agoda web page that at the hotel they only accept cash. Breakfast was cold fried eggs and rice with instant coffee and a slice of spam served on a plate wrapped in plastic wrap. YUK!!! We left the next day.

There was no access road so you’ll need to call the resort for them to arrange a pick up from a different resort. However, the number in the bookings cannot be contacted. We wound up having to lug our bags from the resort nearby along the beach to this place. The main reason why we chose this place was for the WiFi, but when we got there, they say that the WiFi wouldn’t reach our rooms. The bathroom seat was faulty and would poke us whenever we sat on it. All in all, the worst place I stayed in during my trip.
