Amazing hostel with more than your expectation”
It's all about the mental attitude of fundamental business operating principle. This hostel will go out of its way to accommodate their customers. This hostel location is the best for all travelers. There are abundant of land marks, sightseeing places, ordinary & unique restaurants, real grocery stores open 24 hours for your eating/drinking desires, very nearby trains/bus stations & many many more services within 30 minutes walking distance. I do love this place that why I came back & stay there for many nights. I’m highly recommended this hostel for those travelers who are ready & willing to enjoy the best of Osaka.

Much better than expected”
This hostel is very well qualified as an hotel with many above average amenities compare to most hostels in Osaka as well as in Japan. Its location is the best with very very easy access to train/bus stations that will get you to anywhere locally & all over Japan

Everything good except being far from Osaka center”
Have been to Osaka many times and always stayed close to Osaka Station. This time I choose here due to the low price and good reviews. This hostel is about 10m walk from the nearest subway station and is hard to be noticed if you do not look very closely. I actually walked over it many times when I was not confirming my and the hostel's positions on my phone. It is located on the 2F of a coffee bar. The owner is nice and friendly. There are ladies staying for long terms in the female dormitory so short-term guests use upper beds. The bed is comfortable and you have enough space in height. No problem to stay there in the day time to use PC. Some long-term guests set the air-conditioning to 22 wherever she goes and never changes them or turns them off after she leaves. I always change right after she leaves so I can have a better temperature. There is a kitchen free to use. I like the rice cooker in it :-) Next time when I visit Osaka, I may stay here again.

Very bad attitude from the owner ”
The owner was more concern about his 200 Yens laundry fee than treating/behaving as an ordinarily small business owners to their customers & disintegrating the well known respectful Japanese person. I left this hostel early instead of stay there my full reservation for 9 nights & went back to the much much nicer view, much larger community room which is 1 bus # 62 ride, 6 km away on the same street name hotel Sakura for the same or event lower cost per night ???

Very bad mentality from the owner”
I was going to stay at this very small, one man running hostel for 7 nights straight. I went to this hostel a day before I check in to check out the bus/train routes & its location/surrounding since I already has been staying in Osaka for 8 days at the other very nice hotel/hostel name Sakura which is about 6 km away on the same street. Well the middle age man - the owner - greeted me with a very unfriendly manner & I already detected a bad vibes from this owner based on his behaviors plus those comments from other travelers on Agoda website. Being very curious & adventurous person. I decided to experiment this place out. Well...on the 2nd day, I decided to use the internal washing machine to do my laundry. There is only sign indicate to cost to use the machine is 200 Yens. No indication for the users when & how to pay the usage fee. My thinking was that I'll pay after the machine finished. So I went to my room & working on my watch wrist band which it came off earlier.....

Happy Hostel ”
I spent a happy day at the cozy hostel. Everything is brand new and super clean! The owner was helpful ,really friendly and he gave me a lot of useful advices about the Osaka city. He could be very natural to entertain the guest. I definitely recommend to BONFIRE HOSTEL! And I'm looking forward to visit again.

Hostel feel home”
I decided to stay at this hostel because quite peaceful location and went downtown on the subway. About 10 minute walk from hostel to subway if you like to look around the area. This is a hostel feel at home because it is a small but comfortable hostel. The owner (his name is "Sho") will always look around to clean the hostel. He is very helpful and kind. He also take good care of guests. If you need some help, I think that Sho will help you as much as he can. There is a coffee shop on the 1st floor. There are also a convenience stores and restaurants nearby the hostel. If I come to Osaka again, this place is my first choice. :)

Extremely gracious and helpful staff”
This place was very clean and quiet and was a great deal for the price, very functional for an individual traveler, the rooftop deck was a real bonus. Can't say enough good things about the host, friendly and communicative in English, let me rent the bike for free and even had snacks and games ready to offer. Great stay and a comfortable sleep.

Nice friendly hostel - like home ”
it was a very nice hostel, staff so friendly. Clean and feel like home. The only negative point was we could hear people talking and laughing late at night because of the thin walls but this is in almost each guest house in Japan. thank you for these good moments ! Ps: you have a very nice Coffee / restaurant downstairs, so perfect !

Far from EVERYTHING”
The place was nice, very clean, the staff was helpful, but it was in the middle of nowhere. I wouldn't recommend for anyone that has limited time in Osaka. From here you will have to take the train everywhere and as you'll soon learn, it's not cheap. The closest place is Shinnoji Temple, which is a 8 minute 1400 YEN taxi ride or a 25 minute walk to the train plus 10 more to get there for about 300 yen. Above all, time is the most valuable thing for me and I would't suggest this place for anyone who feels the same.

Nice modern Japanese home”
I can say it's more like an AirBnB-type of place. It's really more of like a home and the rooms are rented out. Sho (the owner) is really nice and helpful with all your concerns. The place is really nice -- I say typical modern Japanese home. Probably the only concern is that the place is quite far from the train station. It's about a 15-minute walk to the train station but there are plenty of convenience stores and supermarket along the way. There's even a 24-hour restaurant about 50 seconds away. If you don't like walking, I think you can ride the bus going to Tennoji and then ride the train from that point on (since the train from the nearest train station will pass to Tennoji station anyway). If you prefer a more quiet place with a typical modern Japanese home-feel, then this place is perfect for you

Okay”
The place is clean. Not too close to a station. But, that is not really a huge problem. However, I found the space very limited and tight for both females and males to be together. I think it could be a better idea to change this hostel to a "female-only" or "male-only" hostel. It could also be great for school trips or group trips if you know the other people. Female toilet and showers are very very close to each other, so I did not feel very comfortable with the 50 centimeters distance in the hall. The owner/manager is a very kind and friendly person, however, I did notice, as a male person, he enters the female dormitory very frequently to check things or checking in a guest. If there is a female dormitory and he is a male, female guests need to be respected and given privacy. Guests could be changing clothes or in bed-only clothes. So, for several reasons, it is very difficult for female guests to be comfortable here.

cosy hostel with welcoming owner”
Its located near a station with sightseeing spots nearby as well. Its on the second floor of a cafe. Very simple, clean and cosy place to stay and the owner, Sho San is very nice to show me around and introduced me a nice ramen shop. He can speak English as well and is always around when you need to ask something.
