Few things to mention about. Guys working there are really friendly, open minded and helpfull. I got answers for a lot of questions instantly. Always smilled. Food... That's different level of nutrition. Each and every meal was at least very good. Big portions of delicious things also served professionally. Food looking out like art. Contact with guys is a another important thing. Since i made reservation we stayed in tough so i knew how to get on island ,how to manage everything. I hot also in late evening answer for some urgent question. When i will be back on island that's place where i'm going to be. Cheers!

I've never been more welcomed anywhere in my 7 years of traveling as I was at Bongs. They are a very genuine and caring family. It's right at the peer. It's a hotspot for the locals and local business owners. It's not a luxury spot by any means, but their service, their food and their hospitality is excellent. I will surely visit again. Thank you very very much Karen, Jake and Brent.

Loved this place in M'Pai bay. It is just off the pier when you take the ferry (either Buva Sea or GTVC ferry will take you there-we just bought our ticket at the autonomous pier in Sihanoukville and all of the tickets are USD$25 return) so you don't have to walk far at all. Owners are really cool as are the staff. Lots of places to eat very close by and only about a 5-10 minute walk to the beautiful M'pai bay beach (you can also swim right in front of the accommodation). Also has a private balcony facing the water that you can relax on. Really yum food at the restaurant and not too badly priced. Do note that this place only has fans (no aircon) so was hot but there are not many places with aircon on the island. The only thing we didn't love about this accommodation was that it was quite loud at night and early morning as the place is right on the corner of the main street in town so you can hear people walking and the tractors transporting goods from the pier. Also note there are no ATMs on the island so bring enough cash to ensure you can eat and do some of the day boat trips if you would like.

location is perfect (right where you get off the ferry and in the centre), you get 10% off at their cafe, staff is lovely, strong wifi
I had one cockroach in my room but I guess that’s inevitable when staying in that area. There’s a fan but you will wake up naturally from heat, also inevitable wherever there’s no AC (rare in the area)

Great guesthouse!”

Jake and Karen were incredibly friendly and helpful from the get go. The guesthouse is right on the beachfront and the food is phenomenal. The room had a great little ensuite and a perfectly functional mosquito net (rare find in SE Asia) It was hard to leave the guesthouse but even harder to leave the small fuzzy residents, basil and chocopie. We extended our stay as we loved it so much. Thanks guys!

Unbelievable location, literally on the beach. Great staff, amazing breakfast options, wonderful shared balcony, mosquito net provided. Really wonderful place to stay.
The only complaint (and this is nothing to do with Bongs) is that there is quite a lot of construction work on the island, and the guest house is right next to the pier, which means that there are quite a few heavy vehicles going by to load and unload materials quite early in the morning. The sea view room might not be ideal if you're a very light sleeper.

Bong’s is a lovely place to stay, really clean and comfortable rooms. The food they do downstairs is not to be missed, the breakfast baps and the Mexican food at lunch were very tasty! Right beside the water so it’s also a lovely place to chill out! Special shout out to everyone that works there, their friendliness made the stay even nicer 😊
