Great breakfast, otherwise average to good”
The breakfast range was fantastic. Really impressed me. The room it self was good, but the corridor was noisey and the room was a little cold but then again it is an old building. The tv remote was a bit temperamental and the batteries had tape on them to keep them in. Wish they did hot chcollate in the room amenities. It’s good that there is choice of places to eat in the hotel and I liked they showed the football in the bar I was in rather than no background entertainment.
Recommended to anyone who wants to visit Dublin!”
Even though Bonnington is just outside Dublin, it is only a €15 cab ride tops at most to the city and the scenery, staff, and hotel itself are well worth the distance. This was the only hotel I decided to splurge on for my trip, and I’m glad I did! Even though my friend and I were early and my phone wasn’t working to call the hotel, the staff worked with us and held our luggage until the room was ready. In the meantime, we were given a pass to the leisure center so we got massages for the reasonable price of €35. The pool and sauna were amazing, the food delicious and the beds very comfortable. Most of all, I appreciate the manager and the employee who worked the night of 13/05-14/05 for helping my friend and I get a cab arranged for her super early flight when we were both extremely stressed from traveling not just to Dublin, but to Europe for the first time. I left feeling happier than I have in a long time, and I can’t thank everyone there enough for that.
Good but not great”
No a/c and afternoon sun baked through windows and room didn't cook down until am. No face towel to wash face, no breakfast included. Otherwise staff was friendly and helpful and location met our needs.
Dublin weekend break”
Nice hotel and leisure club located a 10 minute bus journey from the city centre, staff were very friendly...food in the bar was good...would certainly stay here again
very pleasant:-) ”
Only one night, bit disappointed”
In room information said room service until 11pm we arrived around 9 pm were told time for room service time changes and only limited menu, which is not what info in room said. All we could get for a vegetarian was hot chips. Had to drive 20 minutes to a supermarket to get food
Terrible and freezing cold”
I regreted I booked for this hotel on a weekend tour with friends. Very old (carpets are teared off and they used gray tape to patch it), not clean, very cold (heater is not function) and it's not fun taking a shower at all and waking up in the morning freezing, staffs are arrogant that you will feel unwelcome.
A pleasant stay with basic necessities. ”
Pleasant stay, near all sports venues. good shopping near by. quiet hotel even thought it was full for sports event. staff pleasant. most staff seemed to be irish which was good. service was quick in the dining room and in the bar area. the bar was clean and tidy. the parking was very good and plenty of spaces and it was safe for the car as tokens were used and cameras at reception to see the cars going in and out. the shop next door was handy and had all foods and drinks with lotto and bank machine and coffees and tea etc.
Nice hotel 15min from Dublin Airport”
Good Bar for a drink, but service for food was slow(Only one waiter and he was working his socks off!!)
Great Hotel and Location”
The staff from the Cleaners to the front desk are very helpful, informative and pleasant
Great location, lovely hotel, very friendly staff”
The only down side, if it is really one, was that the free wifi was not accessible in our room. We had to go to the lobby area to pick up the signal. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the surrounding townlands. The hotel bar was spacoius and the staff very friendly and the food was of a high standard.
old hotel near airport”
the budget room is quite small and the beds are worn out. at times it was cold and the heater was not working
Great service and friendliness”
we stayed here for our last night in dublin after touring around beautiful ireland for several weeks. carpark, reception, room quality and location we're all excellent. pity that some of the places we stayed at weren't as good as this one as it was a shame that we couldn't stay for longer. the airport is a mere 5 minute trip on the local bus just over the road. hooray no expensive taxis!
The Regency has been a great hotel in it's time but is just a little bit past it now. The location is handy to the busses into the city which is a must as the hotel is a fair way out of town, The staff were all very pleasant and the breakfast was very good. The small supermarket next door was very handy and has a good range of food etc.
Large room, and located on Swords rd on a court halfway between city and airport. Is an older style hotel. Corridors go on and on.Meals were very good. Supermarket at door to purchase any needs. Bus stop 50 metres along Swords rd to get into Dublin. Very handy as is so hard in city to park hire car. Only big minus is you may have to pay a 10 euro per night car parking fee. They kindly waived this for me and I stayed 2 nights. Would highly reccomend it for budget concsious traveller, because of price, position and room size.
Good value, good breakfast, nice pool and hot tub”
We enjoyed the walk into town so we only took the bus once. The breakfast was good .The pool was very nice but it was shared with members of the fitness center.Make sure you get a remodeled room, we did see into some rooms that didnt look as nice as the one we had.
Have used regency Hotel on two occasions when travelling on early morning flights from Dublin Airport to the United States. All in all it has proven to be an excellent choice and I have recommended it to a number of my friends. formerly I have stayed in some budget style hotels nearer the airport but these did nt compare favourably in either price or comfort.
We stayed at the Regency hotel overnight and had an absolutely lovely time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean bright and well laid out the view wasn't great but then how long are you in your room. Will definitely stay in the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.
This hotel is located not far from the airport, on the way into the city. Location is good. Room was a bit tired, but there was a refurbishment going on. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast included. There is also a really nice leisure centre, but you need to have a swimming hat, which you can buy there. Would stay here again
